백년초(OFSE) 추출물을 처방한 미스트의 펌 전처리 효과

        김도희(Do hee Kim),도주연(Ju yeon Do) 한국인체미용예술학회 2017 한국인체미용예술학회지 Vol.18 No.3

This study attempted to determine the effects of a hair mist made of Opuntia ficus-indica var. saboten extract on the protection of damaged hair during a perm. For this, the following were investigated and analyzed: i) hair thickness and microscopic structure of hair cuticle by the use of hair care cosmetics; ii) tensile strength of hair by the use of hair care cosmetics; iii) wave efficiency after the treatment; and iv) components of hair by the use of hair care cosmetics. First, according to the measurement of hair thickness after the perm treatment, decrease in hair thickness was the lowest in a group in which hair was permed after the OFSE mist treatment, compared to the control group. Second, in terms of the tensile strength of hair after the perm, a group in which hair was permed after the OFSE mist treatment was higher than other experimental groups. Third, wave efficiency after the perm treatment was the highest in a group with the OFSE mist treatment with 74.5890㎜ in average. Fourth, according to analysis on hair components that were measured using EDS, the OFSE mist treatment group (u.49 Wt) was higher than virgin hair and other experimental groups in terms of sulfur contents. Therefore, it appears that hair care cosmetics made of OFSE extract would be helpful in preventing hair damage during a perm or chemical treatment in a beauty salon. It is expected that the study results would be available as basic research data for the manufacture of diverse natural hair care cosmetics using the natural ingredient ‘OFSE.’
