In order to empirically analyze the effects of self-esteem and self-resilience on school life satisfaction and friendship relationship of students from multicultural families, a survey was conducted among students from multicultural families, and the final 242 copies collected were analyzed statistically. The impact of self-esteem and self-resilience on friendship has a significant positive (+) effect. Friendship has a significant positive (+) effect on school life satisfaction. Friendship is fully mediated by self-esteem and satisfaction with school life. Friendship is partly mediated by self-resilience and satisfaction with school life. Ultimately, a training program to promote friendship will be needed to increase self-resilience and self-esteem.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of depression and the moderating effects of family support in the relationship of social activities and quality of life among baby boomers. The subjects were 774 baby boomers surveyed in the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, hierarchical regression analysis and structural model verification were performed using SPSS22.0 and AMOS 22.0. The results of this study are as follows. First, social activities, quality of life, and family support were positively correlated with each other, and negatively correlated with depression. Second, the mediating effect of depression was found in the relationship between social activities and quality of life. Third, there was a moderating effect of family support in the relationship between social activities and quality of life. Based on the results of this study, it was discussed that social activities, depression, and family support should be considered as ways to improve the quality of life for baby boomers.
