본 연구의 목적은 공업 기술 영어 교과의 교수요목을 설계하기 위한 요구분석의 한 모형을 제안하는 데 있 다. 이는 학습자 중심의 교육이 보편화됨에 따라 학습자들의 요구를 학습 내용에 효율적으로 반영하기 위한 방법론을 모색하고자 하는 것이다. 기존의 표준화 점수에 의해 교수요목 순위 선정을 하는 연구에서는 최댓값과 최솟값의 차이 가 설문지에서의 Likert 5점 척도보다 크기 때문에 자료를 해석할 때 왜곡될 수 있는 단점을 갖고 있으므로 이에 대 한 보완책이 필요하다. 이러한 자료해석의 왜곡을 최소화 해줄 수 있는 방법이 Max-Min 방법이다. 이 논문에서는 기 존의 표준화 점수 방법을 이용한 교수요목 선정과 Max-Min 점수 방법에 의한 교수요목 선정의 차이를 밝히고 그 의 의를 제시해 본다. 순위 변화율은 기계․금속 관련 항목, 토목․건축 관련, 화공․섬유 관련이 각각 25%, 25%, 55%의 변 화율을 보였다. 요구분석은 상황에 맞게 다양하게 선택되어야 하며, 또한 요구분석이 언어 교수요목 설계의 출발점이 라고 할 때 이에 대한 정교한 방법론이 필요하다. 따라서 앞으로의 요구분석과 관련한 연구에서는 표준화 방법이나 Max-Min 방법 문제뿐만 아니라 심층연구를 통해서 각 집단의 중요도 차이를 반영할 수 있는 방법론에 대해서도 다 각도의 연구가 진행되어 궁극적으로는 요구분석 전반을 아우를 수 있는 방법론 개발이 필요하다. The purpose of this research is to suggest a model or method of needs analysis for designing syllabuses. As the learner-centered approach in teaching and learning methods becomes general, the learners' needs or wants should be reflected on the syllabus design. However, standardized scores in the previous research have disadvantages to be distorted in data interpretations because the difference between the maximum value and minimum value is so big compared to the Likert 5 scales. To solve this disadvantage, the Max-Min method is used in the needs analysis for the syllabus design. So, the differences are presented. Needs analyses need to be selected variously according to situations. Thus, further researches are needed to develop several new methods as well as the Max-Min method or the standardized score method for the whole needs analyses.

본 연구의 목적은 한국어 교수요목 설계를 위한 요구분석 모형을 제시하는 데 있다. 이에 현재까지 진행된 요구분석 방법론에 대한 논의를 하고, 이를 근거로 하여 발전된 요구분석 모형을 제안하고, 이를 원어민교사를 대상으로 하는 한국어 교수요목 설계에 적용하였다. 본 연구를 위하여 설문조사를 하되 한국어 학습자인 원어민교사 외 한국학생, 협력교사 등 세 그룹을 조사대상으로 하여 분석하였고, 각 그룹의 중요도를 반영하기 위하여 한국어교육 전문가를 대상으로 설문조사하여 각 그룹의 가중치를 부여하였다. 연구결과 표준화로 인한 필요도 평균값의 범주가 필요도의 단순 평균값의 범주보다 넓어서 자료 해석의 왜곡 가능성을 보였다. 따라서 이를 극복하기 위하여 표준 점수를 적분한 값이 누적표준정규분포 함수값으로 변환하였다. 그 결과 60개의 조사 항목에서 27개 항목에서 순위 변화가 나타났다. 또한 변환한 값에 가중치를 부여한 결과 42개 항목에서 순위 변화가 나타났다. 이 결과는 요구분석이 궁극적으로 교재 개발을 위한 것이라고 할 때 보다 정밀한 요구분석 방법론이 필요함을 보이고 있다. 이러한 논의가 좀더 세부적으로 확대된다면 한국어교육 현장에 실용적으로 보탬이 될 수 있을 것이다. The main purpose of this research is to present the methodology of needs analysis for a Korean language syllabus design. For this study, we analyzed the survey into three different groups; Native English teachers who are learners of Korean, Korean junior and senior high school students, and cooperative Korean teachers. Also, to reflect each group’s importance, the survey of professionals for Korean language education was analyzed to give a weight to each group. Previous research limitation conducted according to the standardized method was identified. There was limitation because the mean value range of the degree in standardization methods is larger than the simple mean value range of the degree. There is considerable chance for distortion of data interpretation. Thus, to overcome this disadvantage, the standardized mean value was converted into the value of integral calculus. The result was then converted into a cumulative probability distribution function value. As a result of this method, the ranks of 27 items among 60 questionnaire were changed. Also, as a result of endowing weight to converted values, the ranks of 42 items were changed. This research indicates that more detailed and accurate methodology of needs analysis for the development of textbooks is necessary.
