이 연구는 지역 공동체가 마을에 소재하고 있는 숲을 보존하면서 이를 활용하여 주민 소득과 일자리 창출을 모색하는 숲 휴양치유사업에 주목하여 사업 지지도에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 주요 영향 요인을 분석하였다. 이를 위하여 마을 사업 지지도와 지각된 영향 인식에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 요인으로 지역경제 인식, 환경 인식, 장소정체성, 공동체 참여, 리더십 평가 등 5가지 요인을 선정하였다. 주요 분석 방법으로는 사회교환이론에 기반한 구조방정식 모형과 심층 면접을 활용하였다. 1차로 전라남도 순천시 용계산 일대 5개 마을 주민 127명을 대상으로 한 설문조사 결과를 구조방정식 모형을 통해 분석하고, 2차로 분석 결과 해석을 위하여 설문 참여 인원 중 20명을 대상으로 심층 면접을 진행하여 5가지 영향 요인들이 주민 지지도에 미치는 효과와 함께 모형에서 고려하지 않았던 사회적 영향 요인들을 함께 도출하였다. 주요 연구 결과를 요약하면 첫째, 주민들은 지역 경제가 낙후되었다고 인식하고, 장소정체성과 공동체 참여, 리더십 평가가 좋을수록 마을 사업의 긍정적 영향을 높게 인식하였으나, 환경에 보다 높은 가치를 부여할 경우 마을 사업의 긍정적 영향을 더 낮게 인식하였다. 둘째, 지역경제가 좋지 않다고 생각하는 경우 부정적 영향을 더 낮게 인식하며, 지역 환경이 좋다고 생각할 경우 부정적 영향을 더 높게 인식하였다. 셋째, 환경인식과 장소정체성 인식, 공동체 참여가 높을수록 사업 지지도가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 사업 기대 효과 중 긍정적 영향 인식만이 사업 지지도를 증가시키는 것으로 확인되었다. 그 외에 심층 면접과정에서 마을 내 교회의 역할과 원주민과 귀촌인간의 관계도 사업 지지도에 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다. This study focused on the forest recreation healing project that provides income and jobs to local residents by utilizing the village forests eco-friendly, and analyzed the main factors that affect the support of the residents. 5 factors were selected as factors that could affect the recognition of perceived influence in village project. The factors are regional economic recognition, environmental awareness, place identity, community involvement, and leadership. Based on social exchange theory, structural equation modeling and in-depth interview were utilized for comprehensive mixed research. A survey was conducted on 127 residents of five villages around Yong-gye mountain in Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do. In-depth interviews were conducted with 20 residents of the participants of the survey. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, as the local economy is poor and the place identity, community involvement, leadership is good, the residents highly recognize the positive impact of the village project. But the higher the value of the environment, the lower the positive impact of the village project. Second, residents feel less negative impacts when they think the local economy is poor, however they feel more negative impacts when they have strong attachment to the local environment. Third, the higher the perception of environment, the recognition of place identity and the community involvement, the greater the residents’ support for the projects. Fourth, it was confirmed that only the positive impact of the project expectation increases the support for the project. In addition, it was confirmed through the in-depth interview that the role of the church in the village and the relationship between the indigenous people and urban-to-rural migrants can affect the project support.
