As the delay of the Kyungbu High Speed Railroad, HST should use conventional line through Daegoo to Pusan until the new railroad build. High speed railroad noise is one of the main causes of environmental impact. Whenever HST on conventional railroad line is planned or a housing project near an existing railroad is proposed, an estimate of the relevant noise levels is usually required. For this, it is necessary to quantify those parameters that affect the railroad noise. This paper deals with an estimation of high speed railroad noise on conventional line.

In pattern recognition, the conventional neural networks contain a large number of weights and require considerable training times and preprocessor to classify a transformed patterns. In this paper, we propose a constrained pattern recognition method which is insensitive to rotation of input pattern by various degrees and does not need any preprocessing. Because these neural network can not be trained by the conventional training algorithm such as error back propagation, a novel training algorithm is suggested. As such a system is useful in problem related to classify overse side and reverse side of 500 won coin. As an illustrative example, identification problem of overse and reverse side of 500 won coin is shown.

To identify the possibility of interlinking the railroads of two Koreas as well as the relevant technical advancement, it's necessary to compare the industrial standards associated with the railroad system, and on a long-run, the study on integration measures shall follow. The priority was given to the question on whether the parts or components as well as the freight car are technically compatible, that is, the connectivity of two different systems.
