Recently, fuel efficiency during cold FTP mode has been significantly issued. There are two methods to solve the problem. One of the two utilizes an on/off controled water pump which does not operate during cold start. And the other is made use of an exhaust heat recovery module like an ATF warmer/cooler. The purpose of this study is to develop a high efficiency chevron type ATF warmer/cooler which can alternate oil cooler with offset fin. The performance analysis of ATF oil cooler is accomplished by use of computational programs Fluent 6.3. The analyzed results is compared with those of offset fin type oil cooler.
