Naju was the political, economic and cultural center of Honam along with Jeonju from Goryo of Wanggeon to Chosun Dynasty. Natural resources of Naju, like Geumseongsan(M.T), blends well with its pivotal historic and cultural assets. However, the cultural tourism industry of Naju has been still lagging behind other regions despite its superb historic and cultural resources. If wild tea field at Geumseongsan(M.T), etc, which has not been known very well, is developed and relayed to the tea culture, more fruitful and abundant cultural development would be attained. Recently, the green tourism is coming into the spotlight as a new form of tourism.
