In this study, a multi-body dynamic model is developed for a washing machine and the dynamic behaviors of the machine are investigated. The mechanical properties such as spring constants and damping factors are measured from vibrational experiments. With these experimentally obtained mechanical properties, a computer simulation model for the washing machine is established by using a commercial multi-body dynamics software DAFUL. In order to verify the developed simulation model, the dynamic responses computed from simulation are compared to the responses measured from vibration experiments. In addition, the effects of the stiffness and damping factors on the dynamic responses are also analyzed.
조류 성장 억제를 위한 녹조 및 적조 발생과 황사의 상관관계 초기적 연구

Although the problems of the algal blooms have been world-widely observed in freshwater, estuary, and marine throughout the year, it is not yet certain what are the basic causes of such blooms. Consequently, it is very difficult to predict when and where algal blooms occur. The constituents of the Asian dust are in a good agreement with the elements required for the algal growth, which suggests some possible relationship between the algal blooms and the Asian dust. There have been frequently algal blooms in drinking water from rivers or lakes. However, there is no any algal blooms in upwelling waters where the Asian dust cannot penetrate into the soil due to its relatively weak settling velocity (size of particles, 4.5±1.5 μm), which implies the possible close relationship of the Asian dust with algal blooms. The present initiative study is thus intended firstly in Korea to illustrate such a relationship by reviewing typical previous studies along with 12 years of weekly iron profiles (2001~2012) and two slant culture experiments with the dissolved Asian dust. The result showed bacterial suspected colonies in the slant culture experiment that are qualitatively in a good agreement with the recent Japanese studies. Since the diatoms require cheap energy (8%) compared to other phytoplankton (100%) to synthesize their cell walls by silicate, the present results can be used to predict algal blooms by diatoms if the concentrations of iron and silicate are available during spring and fall. It can be postulated that the algal blooms occur only if the environmental factors such as light, nutrients, calm water surface layer, temperature, and pH are simultaneously satisfied with the requirements of the micronutrients of mineral ions supplied by the Asian dust as enzymatic cofactors for the rapid bio-synthesis of the macromolecules during algal blooms. Simple eco-friendly methods to regulate the algal blooms are suggested for the initial stage of blooming with limited area: 1) to cover up the water surface with black curtain and inhibit photosynthesis during the day time, 2) to blow air (20.9%) or pure oxygen into the bottom of the water and inhibit rubisco for carbon uptake and nitrate reductase for nitrogen uptake activities in algal growth during the night, 3) to eliminate the resting spores or cysts by suction of bottom sediments as deep as 5 cm to prevent the next year germinations.

세포외기질의 주요 구성단백질인 laminin은 콩팥에서 토리바닥막에 분포되어 있어 토리의 발생과 분화에 영향을 미치 고 최근의 연구에서는 토리의 거름기능에도 주요 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이에 저자는 adriamycin 투여로 콩팥이 손상된 흰쥐에 콩팥보호작용이 있는 것으로 알려진 cilazapril (angiotensinconverting enzyme inhibitor, ACEi)과 losartan (angiotensin II receptor blockade, ARB)을 투여한 후 콩팥조직의 회복과 함께 콩팥의 신사구체와 요세관에서 laminin β1 chain 분포의 변화와 합성세포 등을 관찰하고자 하였다. 1. Adriamycin 투여 후 6주 및 12주 경과군에서는 콩팥의 토리쪽곱슬세관 (proximal convoluted tubule)의 상피세포에 laminin β1 chain에 반응한 면역금과립이 다량 분포되었으며, 토리의 족세포와 혈관사이세포의 세포질에서도 면역금과립이 대조군에 비하여 증가되었다. 토리쪽곱슬세관의 상피세포내에 laminin β1 chain mRNA 발현도 증가되었다. 2. Adriamycin 콩팥병증 흰쥐에 cilazapril을 투여한 흰쥐 콩팥에서는 토리쪽곱슬세관의 상피세포와 족세포 및 혈관사이 세포에서 면역금과립이 감소되었으며, 토리쪽곱슬세관 및 집합관의 상피세포에서 laminin β1 chain mRNA 발현이 현저히 감소되었다. 3. Adriamycin 콩팥병증 흰쥐에 losartan을 투여한 흰쥐 콩팥에서는 족세포와 혈관사이세포에서 면역금과립이 감소되어 있었고, 요세관의 상피세포에서 면역금과립과 laminin β1 chain mRNA 발현이 현저하게 감소되었다. 4. Adriamycin 콩팥병증 흰쥐에 cilazapril 및 losartan을 복합투여한 흰쥐 콩팥에서는 족세포, 혈관사이세포 및 요세관 상피세포에서 면역금과립이 감소되었으며, 전 요세관 상피세포에서 laminin β1 chain mRNA발현은 거의 사라졌다. 이상과 같은 결과에서, adriamycin에 의한 콩팥 손상 및 회복과정에서 laminin β1 chain은 토리쪽곱슬세관의 상피세포, 족세포 및 혈관사이세포에서 합성되며, 손상된 콩팥조직에서는 급속히 증가되지만 손상이 치유되면 정상적인 세포내 분포로 복원되므로 손상된 콩팥조직의 회복과정에 중요한 작용을 하는 것으로 생각되었다. Laminin, an extracellular matrix glycoprotein, is distributed in the basement membrane of renal glomerulus. Laminin has been demonstrated to regulate the development and differentiation of glomeruli and play an important role in the filtering function of glomeruli. To address whether laminin β1 chain is associated with the pathogenic states of renal injury and recovery, nephropathy were induced by intravenous adriamycin injection and subsequently cured by treatment with antihypertensive drugs, cilazapril (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, ACEi) and lozartan (angiotensin receptor blockade, ARB), which have been known to be effective on renal protection. The results we obtained were as follows: 1. At 6 and 12 weeks after adriamycin injection, epithelial cells of proximal convoluted tubules exhibited intensive deposition of laminin β1 chain reactive gold particles. Cytoplasm of podocytes and mesangial cells in glomeruli showed an increase in the gold particle deposition as compared with that of controls. The mRNA level of laminin β1 chain was enhanced in the epithelial cells of proximal convoluted tubules. 2. Following cilazapril administration to adriamycin-induced nephropathy rats, laminin β1 chain reactive gold particle deposition was reduced in the epithelial cells of proximal convoluted tubules, podocytes, and mesangial cells. The level of laminin β1 chain transcripts was remarkably decreased in the epithelial cells of proximal convoluted tubules. 3. Following losartan administration to adriamycin-induced nephropathy rats, podocytes and mesangial cells were deposited with reduced number of laminin β1 chain reactive gold particles. The laminin β1 chain reactive gold particles and level of laminin β1 chain mRNA transcripts were remarkably reduced in the epithelial cells of proximal convoluted tubules. 4. Treatment with mixture of cilazapril and losartan to adriamycin-induced nephropathy rat resulted in a decrease in laminin β1 chain reactive gold particle deposition within the epithelial cells of proximal convoluted tubules, podocytes, and mesangial cells. Laminin β1 chain mRNA expression in the epithelial cells of proximal convoluted tubules nearly disappeared. These results consequently suggest that laminin β1 chain may be synthesized within the epithelial cells of proximal convoluted tubules, podocytes and mesangial cells and laminin β1 chain may play an important role on tissue recovery of the renal tissues injured by adriamycin.
