제주 지역에서 23S rRNA 점 돌연변이와 관련된 Clarithromycin 내성 Helicobacter pylori

Background/Aims: The point mutations in 23S rRNA gene accounts for the majority of the clarithromycin resistance of Helicobacterpylori. This study aimed to investigate the association between the clarithromycin-resistance of H. pylori and the failure of primary H. pylori eradication therapy in Jeju Island. Methods: Between April 2011 and October 2012, 6,937 patients underwent endoscopy, and H. pylori infection was evaluated in 2,287 patients (33.0%). Total of 110 patients with H. pylori infection were treated with proton pump inhibitor (PPI)-based triple therapy. The result of eradication was evaluated with urea breath test, histology and PCR which were conducted 4 weeks from the last dose of medicine. Results: The patients who had point mutations were 33 (26.0%). A2142G and A2143G mutations were observed in 10 patients (7.9%) and 23 patients (18.1%). Among 110 patients treated with PPI-based triple therapy, the success rate of the eradication therapy was 52.7% (58/110) and 70.7% (58/82) by intention-to-treat and per-protocol analysis, respectively. Fifteen of the 24 patients who failed the eradication therapy showed point mutations; 1 patient (4.2%) showed A2142G mutation and 14 patients (58.3%) showed A2143G mutation. Patients with A2143G mutation H. pylori showed higher failure rate of 87.5%. Patients with A2142G mutation H. pylori showed similar failure rate compared to those of the patients with wild type H. pylori. Conclusions: In Jeju Island, the frequency of 23S rRNA point mutations is similar (26.0%) with other regions of Korea (15.8-31.3%). A2143G mutation is associated with the failure of H. pylori eradication.

Navigation is a crucial capability for all types of manned or unmanned vehicles. However, vehicle navigation in underwater environments still remains a challenging problem since GPS signals for position fixes are not available in the water. Terrain-referenced underwater navigation is an alternative navigation technique that utilizes geometric information of the subsea terrain to correct drift errors due to dead-reckoning or inertial navigation. Terrain-referenced navigation requires the description of an undulating terrain surface as a mathematical function or table, which often leads to a highly nonlinear estimation problem. Recently, PFs (Particle Filters), which do not require any restrictive assumptions about the system dynamics and uncertainty distributions, have been widely used for nonlinear filtering applications. However, PF has considerable computational requirements which used to limit its applicability to problems of relatively low state dimensions. This study proposes the use of a Rao-Blackwellized particle filter that is computationally more efficient than the standard PF for terrain-referenced underwater navigation involving a moderate number of states, and its performance is compared with that of the extended Kalman filter algorithm. The validity and feasibility of the proposed algorithm is demonstrated through numerical simulations.
해상풍력개발의 환경적 평가를 위한 입지선정 및 가이드라인

본 연구에서는 가용한 공간적 자료를 바탕으로 해상풍력개발로 인하여 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 파악하고 이를 토대로 환경적 영향을 최소화할 수 있는 입지선정 방안을 살펴보고자 한다. 또한 국내외 환경영향평가사례를 조사 분석하여 국내 현황에 적합한 해상풍력 환경성 평가 가이드라인을 마련하고자 한다. 해상풍력 개발사업으로 인하여 발생하는 주요 환경적 요소는 법정지역, 조류(새), 경관, 소음진동 등이 있으며 이들에 대한 공간적 정보도를 구축하였다. 이와 더불어 해상풍력 환경성 평가 가이드라인은 전문가 자문 및 공청회 등을 통하여 지속적으로 수정보완할 예정이다. 연구의 한계로는 환경부와 관련된 사항에 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 해상교통, 주요 어업 지역, 해양포유류, 전력계통, 국가안보 등과 같은 타 부처의 내용은 포함되지 않았다는 것이다. In this research, a site selection methodology is suggested to minimize the environment impact for offshore wind farms by identifying the issues through the spatial analysis of available data. In addition, we propose guidelines for environmental assessment of offshore wind farm by investing and analyzing domestic and foreign cases. The major environmental issues occurred by the offshore wind farm projects include protected areas. bird habitats, visual effect and noise, and spatial information on them has been established. The proposed guidelines will be continuously revised and improved through expert meetings and public hearings, The limitation of the study is that it focuses on issues related to the Ministry of Environment. Issues related to other ministries, such as maritime traffic, major fishing areas, marine mammals, power transit systems and national security were not included.

To maintain parts using 3D printing technology, a part library management system is required which provides users with information about part function, manufacturing method, and inspection method as well as 3D CAD models used as an input file for 3D printing work. The part information and related files managed in the part library management system are described according to a predefined part classification scheme. In this paper, we propose a classification scheme data structure for the maintenance of parts using 3D printing technology. Then we develop a classification scheme for gaskets and o-rings according to the data structure. Finally, we construct part catalog data according to the classification scheme in the prototype part library management system and then perform experiments of retrieving part information and files from the system.
공공자료 분석을 통한 친환경적 풍력에너지 개발 기초 연구

본 연구는 온실가스 감축이라는 전 세계적 목표에 부합하기 위해 풍력발전의 친환경적인 개발을 유도할 수 있는 공공자료의 활용 방안을 검토하였다. 육상풍력 및 해상풍력 개발에 필요한 자료들을 파악하고 우리나라 육상풍력과 해상풍력의 진행현황을 조사하였다. 육상풍력과 해상풍력에 적용할 수 있는 우리나라의 공공자료 현황을 조사하였으며 이들 자료를 효과적으로 활용할 수 있는 방안과 문제점을 제시하였다. 육상풍력의 경우는 해상풍력보다 다양한 자료가 구축되어 있어 친환경적인 풍력발전을 효과적으로 유도할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 해상풍력의 경우는 산재된 해양환경 공간자료를 통합적으로 관리하는 시스템의 구축이 필요하다. 동 연구에서는 바람자료를 이용하여 우리나라 해역의 풍력밀도와 체득가능 에너지양을 산정하였으나 이에 대한 추가적인 검증이 필요하다. This study examined measures to utilize public-open data sources that can induce environmentally friendly development of wind power generation in South Korea. We reviewed the necessary data for on-land wind power and offshore wind power generation and investigated the development process of on-land wind power and offshore wind power in South Korea. This study presented the current status of South Korea`s public open data that can be applied to on-land wind power and offshore wind power development, and identified problems and suggested a scheme that can effectively utilize these data. In the case of on-land wind power, compared to offshore wind power, various data are constructed and thus environment-friendly wind power generation can be effectively induced. In the case of offshore wind power, it is necessary to construct a system that manages scattered marine spatial data in an integrated manner.
