        최근 국내 부루세라병 발생두수가 예년에 비해 증가하고 있으며 가축의 이동 증가와 사육규모의 증가는 발생위험을 높일 뿐만 아니라 발생규모의 증가를 가져와 일단 발병시 피해가 훨씬 심각하다. 또한 근래에 부루세라 백신접종에 대한 논의가 다시 되고 있어 이번 기회에 부루세라병에 대한 궁금증을 알아 보고자 한다.

        Clinical and Prognostic Values of DNMT3B Expression in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

        DNA methyltransferase 3B (DNMT3B), one of DNA methyltransferases has many roles in DNA methylation and cancer pathogenesis. However, its clinical and prognostic value was not studied in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). In this study, we analyzed DNMT3B expression in HCC by public big data, The Cancer Genome Atlas. Primary data about total 360 HCC were downloaded and its clinicopathological implication was analyzed. M stage (p = 0.07) and pathologic stage (p = 0.04) were associated with DNMT3B expression, though M stage did not get a statistical significance. And alpha fetoprotein level was positively correlated with DNMT3B expression (p < 0.001). Higher DNMT3B expression predicted shorter overall survival in HCC patients (p < 0.05). Disease-free survival was shorter in HCC with lower DNMT3B expression, within borderline statistical significance (p = 0.081). It suggested that DNMT3B expression may have an important role in HCC prognosis and its detail mechanism should be confirmed further.

        Pathogenic bacteria were isolated from galls on Winstaria floribunda at Jin-ryang, Gyung-san gun, Kyungbuk province, Korea in 1985 and cultured in order to confirm the pathogenicity of the host and to study the detailed morphological and physiological characteristics. By this study, Erwinia milletia was turned out as a pathogene for carcinoma of wistria. Although pathover has been frequency used in classification of pathogenic bacteria, author suggests that Erwinia milletia, species name, which was used due to emphasis of pathogenicity on the host, should be used as a final classification unit owing to its practical adventages.

        The database to save and manage for data, in distributed system, very difficult to maintain consistency by lack of stability, access of multi-user. The distributed database has used in client/server system by connected with wired LAN. But we will be used distributed database in Mobile System, like PDA(Personal Digidal Assistant). Specially, The Mobile System has some limitations to connect and link of databases or networks. Then any method will be required for database management different from wired LAN's to maintain. This thesis will consider already LAN based distributed data replication and suggests a extended Data Replication Method for mobile system and Architecture. The case study shows that positive results we developed data replication for Mobile MIS(Medical Information System) with Company A.

        원발성 군날개 수술 시 양막이식을 동반한 자가결막이식술 후 재발률

        Purpose: To compare postoperative recurrence rates between conjunctival autograft transplantation alone and conjunctival autograft transplantation with amniotic membrane transplantation in primary pterygium surgery. Methods: The authors conducted a retrospective analysis of 66 eyes from 62 patients who underwent primary pterygium surgery from January 2001 to May 2009. Twenty three eyes underwent conjunctival autograft transplantation alone, 43 eyes underwent conjunctival autograft transplantation with amniotic membrane transplantation. Results: Recurrence of pterygium was observed in 5 of 23 eyes that received conjunctival autograft transplantation alone. There were 2 cases of recurrence of 43 eyes that received conjunctival autograft transplantation and amniotic membrane transplantation. No major complications such as necrotizing scleritis, sclera ulcer, or corneal perforation were observed in either group after surgery. Conclusions: The present study showed that receiving both conjunctival autograft transplantation and amniotic membrane transplantation in pterygium surgery has a lower recurrence rate than conjunctival autograft transplantation alone.       • Erwinia sp. 에 의한 고추 마디 썩음병(무름병)에 관한 연구

        A bacterial disease of peppers (Capsicum annuum L.) that rotted the stem nodes to blacken was newly found in peppers that cultivated in plastic house by hydroponic culture at Chungdo, Kyung pook, Korea in March 1998. Bacterial isolates derived from the diseased peppers was also pathogenic to potato, eggplant and Chinese cabbage but was not be pathogenic to chrysanthemum by artificial inoculation. Growth of the pathogenic bacteria was inhibited by 5r/ml Streptomycin H₂SO₄ and Friadiomycin H₂SO₄. On the basis of bacteriological characteristics and pathogenicity on the host plants of the organism, the causal bacteria to the pepper bacterial disease is identified as Envinia carotovora subsp. carotovora and this disease is proposed to name "Bacterial node black rot of pepper"

        Cloning and Prokaryotic Expression of C-type Lysozyme Gene from Agrius convolvuli

        We have isolated and characterized Agrius convolvuli cDNA encoding a c-type lysozyme. The cDNA sequence encodes a processed protein of 139 amino acid residues with 19 amino acid residues amino-terminal signal sequence and 120 amino acid residues mature sequence. The amino acid residues responsible for the catalytic activity and the binding of the substrate are conserved. Agrius lysozyme has a high identity to Manduca sexta. Recombinant A. convolvuli lysozyme was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 (DE3) pLysS cells for pGEX 4T-1 expression vector. Their optimal conditions for the fusion protein expression and purification were screened. Lysozyme gene amplified with primers ACLyz BamHI and ACLyz XhoI was ligated into the pGEX 4T-1 vector, which contained the glutathione Stransferase (GST) gene for fusion partner. The fusion protein was induced by IPTG and identified by SDS-PAGE analysis. Molecular weight of the fusion protein was estimated to be about 45 kDa. Recombinant lysozyme, fused to GST, was purified by glutathion-Sepharose 4B affinity chromatography. Western blot analysis of this protein revealed an immunoreactivity with the anti-Agrius lysozyme.
