신용카드 거래분석을 통한 소규모 국제스포츠이벤트의 경제적 효과 분석

The purpose of this study was to assess the economic impact of small-sized sport events through credit card transaction data analyses. To measure economic analyses of sport events, input-output analysis was used because of it was widely used and well-known to measure the economic impact for small sport events. Credit card transaction data were utilized to measure participants and spectators’ expenditure during the event instead of using a survey method. Data were collected by setting the area around the national basic area including the event venues. A total of 274,810 card spending cases were collected for the analyses. In order to assess the total induced production, the total induced added value, and the total induced employment from the event, the national input-output table in 2015 published by the Bank of Korea was used. The total induced production effect for the Samho Korea Cup Bowling event was about 108.22 billion won in 2016, 228.26 billion won in 2017, and 193.14 billion won in 2018. The total induced value added effect for the event was about 49.83 billion won in 2016, 104.09 billion won in 2017, and 88.32 billion won in 2018. The induced employment effect was 685.6 persons in 2016, 1,425.8 persons in 2017, and 1,181.8 persons in 2018. As a result of analyzing the economic impact of the Smaho Korea Cup Bowling event, it appears that the larger the population of the host city, the greater the economic impact.

Flank pain is a common symptom needed to developing differential diagnosis. Mostly, underlying cause of the renal and upper urinary system such as urinary stone, pyelonephritis is attributed to flank pain. In different way, pelvic congestion syndrome refers to a condition in which characteristic symptoms of shifting location of pain, deep dyspareunia, post-coital pain, and exacerbation of pain after prolonged standing are associated with radiological findings of pelvic varicosities (dilated uterine and ovarian veins) that display reduced blood flow. Flank pain is also provoked by pelvic congestion syndrome. A specific diagnosis for the condition is often difficult, and mimicking others. We experienced a case of pelvic congestion syndrome mimicking acute pyelonephritis or cystitis with chronic flank and pelvic pain.
Efficient Utilization of Korean Medical Fungal Pathogen Resource Bank for Clinical Research
김자영,오준상,성기호,이혜영,최지선,이상헌,김민범,최선영 대한의진균학회 2019 대한의진균학회지 Vol.24 No.3
A "pathogen resource" contains information about pathogens (e.g., bacteria, fungi, viruses, and protozoa) and microbial derivatives (e.g., DNA, RNA, plasmid, clone, and cDNA). Pathogen resources are important for their potential use in healthcare research because they contain clinical and epidemiological information that is different from microbial resources. In October 2014, the "Nagoya Protocol" on access and benefit-sharing with the Convention on Biological Diversity was enacted to restrict the movement of transboundary pathogens and protect the natural pathogen resources of each country. On July 2017, the Korean Medical Fungal Pathogen Resource Bank (KMFRB) was established to secure, discover, and develop biological resources focused on medical fungi. KMFRB has since been operating under the National Culture Collection for Pathogens of the National Institute of Health based on the Act No. 13992. This report aims to provide general information regarding KMFRB and suggest efficient ways to utilize human fungal pathogen resources for clinical research.

Background: We evaluated the analytical and clinical performances of the SD BIOLINE Rota/Adeno Rapid kit (SD Rota/Adeno Rapid; Standard Diagnostics, Inc., Korea), an im- munochromatographic assay (ICA), for the simultaneous detection of rotaviruses and ade- noviruses in human stool samples. Methods: We tested 400 clinical stool samples from patients with acute gastroenteritis and compared the ICA results with the results obtained by using ELISA, enzyme-linked fluores- cent assays (ELFA), PCR, and multiplex reverse transcription-PCR (mRT-PCR). To assess the analytical performance of the SD BIOLINE Rota/Adeno Rapid kit, we determined its de- tection limit, reproducibility, cross-reactivity, and analytical reactivity for adenovirus sub- types, and performed interference studies. Results: The overall agreement rates among the tested methods were 91.5% for rotavirus and 85.5% for adenovirus. On the basis of mRT-PCR, the overall agreement, positive agree- ment, and negative agreement rates of the ICA were 95.6%, 100%, and 94.9% for rotavi- rus, and 94.0%, 71.4%, and 94.8% for adenovirus, respectively. Using the ICA, we de- tected all the subtypes of adenovirus tested, but the analytical reactivities for adenovirus subtypes were different between the 4 adenovirus detection methods. The high reproduc- ibility was confirmed, and no cross-reactivity or interference was detected. Conclusions: The SD BIOLINE Rota/Adeno Rapid kit showed acceptable analytical and clinical performances. However, interpretation of adenovirus positive/negative result should be cautious because of different detectability for adenovirus subtypes among adenovirus detection methods.
