Inguinal hernia is the most common disease treated by the pediatric surgeon. There are several controversial aspects of management 1)the optimal timing of surgical repair, especially for preterm babies, 2)contralateral groin exploration during repair of a clinically unilateral hernia, 3)use of laparoscope in contralateral groin exploration, 4)timing of surgical repair of cord hydrocele, 5)perioperative pain control, 6)perioperative management of anemia. In this survey, we attempted to determine the approach of members of KAPS to these aspects of hernia treatment. A questionnaire by e-mail or FAX was sent to all members. The content of the questionnaire were adapted from the "American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) Section on Surgery hernia survey revisited (J Pediatr Surg 40, 1009-1014, 2005)". For full-term male baby, most surgeons (85.7 %) perform an elective operation as soon as diagnosis was made. For reducible hernia found in ex-preterm infants already discharged from the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), 76.2 % of surgeons performed an elective repair under general anesthesia (85.8 %). 42.9 % of the surgeons performed the repair just before discharge. For same-day surgery for the ex-premature baby, the opinion was evenly divided. For an inguinal hernia with a contralateral undescended testis in a preterm baby, 61.9 % of surgeons choose to 'wait and see' until 12 month of age. The most important consideration in deciding the timing of surgery of inguinal hernia in preterm baby was the existence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (82.4 %), episode of apnea/bradycardia on home monitoring (70.6 %). Most surgeons do not explore the contralateral groin during unilateral hernia repair. Laparoscope has not been tried. Most surgeons do not give perioperative analgesics or blood transfusion.

본 연구에서 개발한 벤딩다이시스템(Bending Die System)제작기술은 부가가치가 매우 높은 소량 다품종 건축용 내·외장재의 금속 패널 코너가공법에 관한 것이다. 금속 금구류 및 건축용 내·외장재로 사용되는 2.5㎜이상 되는 금속강판을 사용함에 있어서 가장 문제가 되는 직각코너링 접합부위에서 발생되는 내식성, 내후성, 및 디자인을 향상시키므로 품질의 향상뿐만 아니라 소량 다품종의 생산성을 증대시킬 수 있는 국내 최초 금속패널 코너가공을 할 수 있는 벤딩다이시스템을 설계하여 제작하였다. 이를 제작하여 경제적, 기술적으로 고부가가치를 창출하여 수출증대에 기여할 수 있다. The design technology to be developed in this study is technology related to the metal panel comer processing method of very high value-added, interior and exterior cladding material, in the architecture. This study is aimed at designing a Bending Die System that enables metal panel comer processing for the first time in Korea, by improving corrosion resistance (durability), weather resistance and elegances (design) for the connecting part of right angle cornering, where most serious problems occur in using metal steel plates of 2.5mm or thicker. This is used as a kind of metal ball and as architectural interior and exterior cladding material.

철근콘크리트보에서의 아취작용에 대한 현상을 파악하기 위해 전단지간 대 유효높이의 비 (a/b), 철근비, 전단철근의 유무등을 변수로 하여 총 16개의 시험체를 제작하여 실험하였다. 실험결과, 철근콘크리트보에서 아취현상은 최초로 보에 휨균열이 발생되면서 시작되고, 휨균열이 전단지간 중앙위치까지 발생되면 아취현상이 현저해져 보의 전체적 거동을 지배하는 것으로 나타났다. 철근콘크리트보의 전체적 거동이 아취작용에 이해 주로 지배되면, 전단지간내에서 측정된 철근인장력은 계산된 철근인장력보다 휠씬 크게 나타났다. 철근콘크리트보에서 아취현상은 지점쪽에 가까울수록, 철근비가 낮을수록 헌저하고, 전단보강을 함으로서 아취현상은 작아졌다. 철근콘크리트보에서 아취현상은 a/b가 작아질수록 증가되고, a/b가 3이하에서는 아취현상이 지배적이었다. 전단보강이 안된 a/b가 3이하의 보에서는 최종하중단계에서 타이드 아취현상이 현저하여 철근 길이\ulcorner향에 따른 철근인장력은 거의 동일한 값을 나타냈다. Sixteen reinforced concrete beams were tested statically up to failure to investigate the arch action. Major variables were the shear span to depth ratio, steel ratio and existence of stirrups.The arch action in reinforced concrete beams started when flexural cracks appeared at the center of the span. Due to the reduction of internal moment arm length by the development of arch action, the measured steel tension was significantly higher than the calculated. As the shear span to depth ratio arid steel ratio decrease, the arch action in reinforced concrete eams increases. Over the entire length the force in the steel of no web reinforced beams having smaller a /d ratio than 3 was constant because the beams acted as a tied arch.

Development of commercial technology for expansion in domestic anthracite coal utilization is urgent due to the mass reserves of low grade anthracite in Korea. Therefore, a series of experiments were conducted in this study to resolve this problem using CPT column in order to check the possibility of high-quality production for the fine coal that is impossible to treat by dry separation method. Particle size analysis was conducted for the sample using disk mill and vibro screen, and preliminary experiment was conducted for +100 mesh of the product obtained through this process by batch flotation(Sub-A type). Comparison experiment was conducted for -100 mesh and 100 × 325 mesh by each factor-specific condition applying to CPT Column. The result of CPT column flotation by using the proper reagent confirmed through batch flotation was ash rejection 83.15% and recovery 91.44% under the conditions of pulp density 5%, frother temperature 26°C, Kerosene collector (200mL/ton), Pine oil frother (1L./ton), Lime depressant (3kg/ton), air flow rate (1,400mL/ton) and wash water (300mL/ton).

원형(prototype) 철근콘크리트 구조물의 거동을 축소모형실험을 이용하여 연구하기 위해서는 모든 구성재료의 물리적 성질들이 특정상사(similitude)관계 또는 1:1로 복제된 모형재료를 사용하여야 한다. 원형과 모형의 물리적 특성에 관한 상사성에 대해 사전 연구가 되어져야만 축소모형실험결과 해석에 적용할 수 있다. 본 연구는 철근콘크리트 구조물을 축소모형화하는데 따른 구성재료의 물리적 성질과 기본 거동에 관한 문제점들을 파악하고, 개선된 방법을 찾기 위한 것이다. 모형콘크리트에서 발견되는 큰 인장강도를 최소화하기 위해 배합비를 변화시켜서 원형콘크리트에 가장 가까운 모형콘크리트의 제작기법과 모형철근의 표면형태에 따른 거동의 차이를 단순보를 이용하여 연구하였다. When the behavior of a prototype concrete structure is studied through small-scale model experiments, it is necessary to reproduce all significant physical characteristics on either an one-to-one basis or a specific similitude relationship. Any distortion of similitude must be understood and its effect must be predictable. This paper focuses on improved physical modeling techniques for small-scale reinforced concrete structures. Particular emphasis is placed on the development of a model concrete mix to accurately model the important properties of full-scale prototype concrete. Four types of model reinforcement with different bond characteristics are also studied by testing twenty simple beams. The information obtained will be of immediate use to engineers contemplating small-scale modeling of reinforced concrete structures.
