김영준사장은 작년 6월 동신화학 사장으로 취임한 직후부터 최근까지 6차례에 걸쳐 미국시장을 찾아 한국「타이어」수출을 위한 획기적인 성과를 안고 돌아왔다. 농림부장관을 퇴임한 후 부실기업인 흥한화섬을 맡아 일약 성장기업으로 키워놓고 다시 부실화된 동신화학을 재건중에 있는 그는 취임 11개월만인 지난 5월부터는 흑자기업으로 일으켜 세웠다. 해외시장 개척부진과 출혈수출로 작년도 「타이어」업계의 수출은 5백만달러선에 머무르고 있는데 김사장은 연 2천만달러의 장기계약을 미국의 「시어스ㆍ로박」과 체결함으로써 「타이어」대미수출의 전기를 마련하고 귀국 했다.<편집자주>

Copolyesters containing sodium sulfonate group and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) were synthesized with various molecular weight of PEG. The selected molecular weights of PEG were 1000, 2000, 4000, 6000, and 16000. The thermal properties and the crystallization behaviors of the copolyesters were investigated by using differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). Alkaline hydrolysis of the copolyesters was studied as a function of the treatment time. The melting temperatures and the heats of fusion of the copolyesters increased with an increase in the PEG molecular weight, while the weight reduction rate of copolyesters in an alkaline solution decreased with an increase in the PEG molecular weight. At the same PEG content in copolyesters, hard segment length increases with the PEG molecular weight, which was thought to be the most important factor that determines the thermal properties and the alkaline hydrolysis behavior.

完全混合式 반응조와 充塡塔 반응조를 수직으로 연결한 새로운 형태의 폐수처리 장치를 고안하였다. 4.16ℓ의 完全混合 반응조는 內部에 원통형의 流路를 설치함으로써 自動的으로 혼합이 되도록 하였고, 둘째단으로 가기 전에 슬러지가 재순환되도록 하였다. 充塡塔의 부피는 1.84ℓ였으며 Raschig ring으로 充塡하였다. 4,7,10,15 時間의 네가지 체류시간과 292, 674, 1300㎎/ℓ COD의 세가지 유기물 농도에 대하여 각각 실험하였다. 유기물 負荷 1.6-1.9㎏ COD/㎥·day에서 90%이상의 處理效率을 보여주었는데 充塡塔의 마무리효과는 一段 瀑氣槽의 배출류를 기준으로 約 70%를 나타내었다. 슬러지 發生率은 gCOD 當 0.21∼0.31g으로 다른 공정에 비하여 낮았으며, 廢슬러지의 SVI는 최적 負荷에서 26.2-36.6이었다. A new dual biological reactor system for wastewater treatment was developed by combining CSTR and PBR. A circular tank of 4.16 liters with a concentric draft tube was used for the first stage and a column of 1.84 liters packed with Raschig rings was vertically attached. By arranging two reactors in one column, it is unnecessary to install a separate sludge settler for recycle. The process was operated with various combinations of four retention times (4, 7, 10, 15 hours) and three organic concentrations (292, 675, 1300 ㎎/liter COD) with synthetic sewage. It was found that the process was capable of removing more than 90% of COD under organic loadings of 1.6 to 1.9 ㎏ COD/㎥·day. Results for polishing in PBR showed that about 70% of the influent COD from CSTR was removed and the effluent SS was maintained less than 30 ㎎/liter. The sludge yield was 0.21 to 0.31 g SS/g COD removed, and the SVI for an optimumorganic loading was in the range 26.2 to 36.6.

The objective of this study is to formulate the function of the demand for money through reviewing and inspecting monetary theories using regression model. The literature on monetary theory contains rich discussion of both the theoretical and empirical level regarding the features of the demand for money. But the demand for money has not been a favorite topic of research in L.D.D.s. However in the 70's a new theoretical approach emphasized the importance of financial deepening in L.D.C.s, has emerged as one of the prescriptions fro development oriented policies in contrast with the traditional monetary theories which were mainly applicable to the fully monetized economy of developed countries. The approach has focused on the relationship between the demand for money and physical capital as complementary opposed to the orthodox substitution relationship of the traditional theories. For the last forty years Korea has achieved rapid economic growth, and it's financial structure has also been deepened considerably. However high rate of inflation and foreign deficit have been the hardest problems to solve in the process of economic development in korea. The current economic situation in Korea which is specified S IMF system, could be fundamentally attributed to the high dependence on foreign saving from scant domestic saving. In this context this study emphasize the relationship between the demand for money and physical capital. For our purpose two competing hypotheses are set up regarding the relationships between the demand for money and physical capital and the model for each of them is specified with different definitions of money.
