        In 1926, Ernest Hemingway wrote The Sun Also Rises, a semiautobiography based on his adventures in France and Spain in 1924-25. Focusing on the events that took place between a group of American and English expatriates traveling from Paris to Pamplona, The Sun Also Rises was an immediate success and almost instantly became a bible for many disillusioned individuals after it was published. Because it was the first novel that had fully captured the feelings of moral decay and secial alienation shared by the Lost Generation. The Sun Also Rises became essential to the expatriates because it was the first to deal with the generations' alienation and detachment from the rest of society. Feelings of disillusionment, loneliness, inadequacy, and alienation were commonplace. The characters in The Sun Also Rises struggled with this, particularly Jake Barnes. Two of the novel's leading characters, Lady Brett Ashley and Jake Barnes, represent Lost Generation. Brett drifts through a series of romance in spite of her attachment for Jake, who has been depicted impotent by a war wound. Friendship, stoicism, and affirmation under severe pressure are suggested as the values in an amoral and senseless world.

      • 적응모델을 이용한 단일채널 능동 소음제어

        Active noise control is an approach to noise reduction in which a secondary noise source that destructively interferes with the unwanted noise. In general, active noise control systems rely on multiple sensors to measure the unwanted noise field and the effect of the cancellation. This paper develops an approach that utilizes a single sensor. The noise field is modeled as a stochastic process, and a time-adaptive algorithm is used to adaptively estimate the parameters of the process. Based on these parameter estimates, a canceling signal is generated. Opppenheim model assumed that transfer function characteristics from the canceling source to the error sensor is only propagation delay. But this paper proposes a modified Oppenheim model by considering transfer characteristics of acoustic device and noise path. This transfer characteristics is adaptively cancelled by adaptive model. This is proved by computer simulation with artifically generated random noise and sine wave noise. The details of the proposed architecture, and theoretical simulation and experimental results of the noise cancellation system for three dimension enclosure are presented in the paper.

        수용가의 단상부하에 의한 전력계통 불평형 개선 연구

        Electricity companies supply high-quality three-phase equilibrium power to capacity. However, a single phase load of the acceptor results in an amorphous power system. In design and construction, the single-phase load is distributed equally to each phase to minimize the inequality, but inequality is inevitable due to the different time zones of use of many unspecified loads. In the acceptance area, a separate single-phase transformer is installed to supply single-phase power to minimize three-phase inequality, but installation costs and installation spaces such as single-phase transformers and special high-pressure breakers are required. To improve this irrationality, this paper aims to supply single-phase power by introducing an open△ inverse connection method to the transformer tertiary side. The second side of the three-wheel transformer supplies three-phase equilibrium power, and the third side supplies single-phase power by open△reverse connections. Compared to the single-phase power supply method by a single-phase transformer, the quantity and loss of cables on the high-pressure and low-pressure sides are the same, and special high-pressure breakers and single-phase transformers are not required. This is in accordance with the government's energy saving policy and is expected to contribute to the development of the electricity industry by reorganizing related laws and regulations so that it can be applied to the site through active review and verification.

        6도체 무볼트형 Spacer Damper의 진동현상에 관한 연구

        Sparer damper는 다도체 송전선로에서 각 소도체 간의 간격을 유지시켜 주며, 전기적 및 기계적인 외부 요인들에 의해 발생되어진 진동에너지로부터 파생되어지는 각종 피해로부터 전선을 보호하기 위해 적절한 간격을 두고 설치된다. 송전선로에서 발생되어진 진동현상의 결과에 의해 전선의 소손 또는 단선 등의 사고를 방지 및 유지 보수시 어려움을 충분히 감안하여 최적의 요소기술을 구현하는 것이 가장 중요하다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 Spacer damper에 대한 진동특성 해석은 도선 운동의 지배방정식, Spacer damper의 운동방정식, Spacer damper가 체결된 전선의 경간 내 운동, 정적 처짐 해석 및 유한 차분법에 의한 수치해석 등의 해석적인 방법을 이용하여 정립하였다. 또한 실제 상황에 따라 수시로 변화되는 각종 진동현상을 시뮬레이션하여 Spacer damper의 설치 간격을 검토 하였으며, 새로이 얻어진 해석적인 방법을 토대로 향 후 765kV 송전선로용 6도체 무볼트형 Spacer damper의 각종 진동현상을 해석 할 수 있을 것이다. Spacer dampers maintain the constant gaps between each conductor in a bundle conductor-transmission line, and are installed at proper intervals to keep a line from all sorts of damages derived from the vibration energy caused by mechanical or electrical external factors. It is most important to embody a technology which considers difficulties of maintenance and repair, and has optimum elements in order to prevent accidents such as destruction by fire or the snapping of a wire by the effect of vibration phenomenon coming from transmission lint In the resent thesis, therefore, the analysis of vibratory characteristics of spacer damper is set up by analytical methods such as the analysis of conductor motion's governing equation, the equation of spacer damper's motion, spacer damper-fastened wire's motion in a span and the numerical analysis of finite difference method. Furthermore, the installation distance between spacer dampers was scrutinized by simulations of various vibration phenomena which change at any time as actual conditions do, and hereafter difference method.         가스 감지 기능을 구비한 배전반용 기반 화재예방관리시스템

        Inside the distribution panel, various power devices such as transformers, VCB, and OCR are installed. The internal temperature under normal operation is approximately 40°C, and when it exceeds this temperature, the air is discharged to the outside by the ventilation fan to maintain a constant temperature. The insulating wire for wiring mainly used inside the distribution panel is HIV or KIV, and most of the insulating materials are PVC Compound, and to ensure flexibility, a thermal stabilizer and an antioxidant are mixed and used to prevent PVC from being decomposed by plasticizer and heat. The softening temperature of PVC is 65~80°C and the ignition temperature is 454°C. However, when a partial discharge occurs in a region inside the distribution panel, heat is generated at that point. When partial discharge occurs continuously, the temperature continues to rise, and the additives are gradually volatilized into gas in the insulating material from usually 100°C, thereby increasing in a large amount as the temperature increases. At this time, the gas smell, "burnt smell(phthalate and carboxylate series gas smell)", can be seen as the beginning of the deterioration phenomenon. A "fire prevention management system" was developed to prevent the occurrence of a fire in advance by detecting gas generated in such a deterioration phenomenon and determining it as a fire sign. By applying the developed system to the distribution panel, it is expected that it will not only reduce human and material damage, but also be able to cope with disaster safety accidents in advance when operating as an unmanned system.

        가스절연지상개폐기 PD 자동진단기법 연구

        Partial discharge diagnosis is being carried out to prevent failure of ground switch of distribution facilities. However, the reliability of partial discharge diagnosis is insufficient because the results are different depending on how the experts classify the partial discharge and noise signals. Therefore, in this paper, a method to automatically classify partial discharge and noise signals was studied in order to improve the reliability of the partial discharge diagnosis results of ground switch. Partial discharge and noise signal are obtained through the High Frequency Current Transformer(HFCT). And the features were extracted based on the pulse shape analysis, the standard deviation and gravity center of signal. The features are used as input to neural networks and learned using back-propagation. In addition, the structure of neural networks was optimized through genetic algorithm.
