만보계를 이용하여 수업중 이동거리와 촉진법 및 herat telermeter법에 의한 심박수의 측정결과로부터 대학의 일반 체육수업중의 운동의 양과 질에 관하여 검토했다. 보다 운동강도를 높이기 위하여 용구의 능률적 준비, 간단한 설명, 연습회수를 많게 하기위한 지도법의 연구, 비활동적인 학생을 개별 지도 및 동기부여 등에 의하여 수업에 적극적으로 참여시키는 방법등에 관한 연구가 필요하다고 생각된다. 심박수나 최대 산소섭취량 등의 생리적 부하강도와 주관적 운동강도와의 관련성을 정확히 파악하여, 지도하고자 하는 종목의 운동이 어느정도의 운동강도인가를 지도자가 이해하는 것과, 수업중의 발한, 안색, 호흡상태 등의 주관적 운동강도를 파악하여 운동량을 조절하는 것이 필요하다고 생각된다. 학교현장에서 요구되는 것은 수업 전개중에 운동량을 확보하기 위한 지도자의 지도법의 개발이 요구되며, 이를 위하여 심박수의 특성을 유효하게 응용할 필요가 있다고 생각된다.

안정적인 제동력을 제공함으로 운행 중에 제동 할 수 있는 휠체어 제동장치의 설계 및 제작을 목적으로 하며, 장치를 설계·제작함에 있어 설계 단계에서부터 가공기술자가 참가함으로서 아이디어 → 조럽도 → 부품도 → 도면 검토 및 가 공가능성 판정, 설계변경 → 제작 → 설계변경의 순서를 통한 공정변화를 유도하였다. 또한 외측 라체트 휠을 이용한 제동장치를 제작함으로서 기존의 설계제작에 따른 시행착오를 줄였다. This paper is aim to the design and manufacture for wheelchair ABS using the rachet wheel. Quick and logical evaluations on the design and manufacture of wheelchair ABS can be judged from design to manufacture process. In generally, design change is occur to change of process order. Also, this paper is object to reduced process error.

Background : One of the major concerns with biobanking is the absence of standard operating procedures to eliminate pre-analytical variation arising from sample collection, preparation, and storage. Currently, there is a lack of tools to carry out quality control procedures for stored blood samples. The aim of this study is to assess the quality of stored blood samples in our biobank and to suggest appropriate indicators for their quality control. Methods : The stored blood samples that we tested have been registered into our biobank since 2003. These were transferred to our biobank after carrying out routine requested tests, because the samples would have otherwise been discarded. For the purpose of quality control, we analyzed the concentrations and the integrity of DNA and RNA extracted from the stored samples and tested the levels of several serum proteins; the results were compared with the corresponding pre-storage levels. Results : A total of 19 samples were stored from 2006 to 2009. Of the 22 samples stored between 2003 and 2005, 50% showed complete DNA integrity. However, sufficient RNA integrity was noted in only 1 sample stored as recently as 2009. High blood urea nitrogen levels were also noted in the stored sera, but the increase did not correlate to the duration of storage. Conclusions : The amount and integrity of nucleic acids extracted from stored blood samples are potential indicators that can be used for quality control. A guideline for the quality assessment of stored blood samples in a biobank is urgently needed. (Korean J Lab Med 2010;30:718-25)
척수 내 종양으로 의심된 경추 척수 내 유육종증 −증례 보고−

Sarcoidosis is an idiopathic multisystem disorder that usually develops in the respiratory system, but rarely in spinal cord. A 54-year-old female patient was presented with progressive right side weakness and paresthesia below C4 level dermatome which began 3 months ago. Cervical MRI findings showed T2 weighted high signal nodular lesion with surrounding edema at the C4 and C5 vertebra level, suggestive of intramedullary spinal cord tumor. She went through the resection of the part of the mass. The result of biopsy revelaed chronic granulomatous inflammation without caseous necrosis. Despite of tuberculosis medication and proper rehabilitation program for 2 weeks, there was no improvement of symptoms with exacerbated findings on cervical MRI and increased serum angiotensin converting enzyme level. We concerned about the cervical intramedullary sarcoidosis at this point, we treated her with steroid. After 3 months, her MRI findings were improved without improvement in her symptoms. Beneficial Effects of Silibinin Against Kainic Acidinduced Neurotoxicity in the Hippocampus in vivo

Silibinin, an active constituent of silymarin extracted from milk thistle, has been previously reported to confer protection to the adult brain against neurodegeneration. However, its effects against epileptic seizures have not been examined yet. In order to investigate the effects of silibinin against epileptic seizures, we used a relevant mouse model in which seizures are manifested as status epilepticus, induced by kainic acid (KA) treatment. Silibinin was injected intraperitoneally, starting 1 day before an intrahippocampal KA injection and continued daily until analysis of each experiment. Our results indicated that silibinin-treatment could reduce seizure susceptibility and frequency of spontaneous recurrent seizures (SRS) induced by KA administration, and attenuate granule cell dispersion (GCD), a morphological alteration characteristic of the dentate gyrus (DG) in temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). Moreover, its treatment significantly reduced the aberrant levels of apoptotic, autophagic and pro-inflammatory molecules induced by KA administration, resulting in neuroprotection in the hippocampus. Thus, these results suggest that silibinin may be a beneficial natural compound for preventing epileptic events.
