밝기 정보와 곡선전개 기반의 활성 모델

In this paper, we propose a geometric active contour model based on intensity information and curve evolution for detecting region boundaries. We put boundary extraction problem as the minimization of the difference between the average intensity of the region and the intensity of the expanding closed curves. We used level set theory to implement the curve evolution for optimal solution. It offered much more freedom in the initial curve position than a general active contour model. Our methods could detect regions whose boundaries are not necessarily defiened by gradient compared to general edge based methods and detect multiple boundaries at the same time. We could improve the result by using anisotropic diffusion filter in image preprocessing. The performance of our model was demonstrated on several data sets like CT and MRI medical images. 본 논문에서는 영역의 경계를 추출하기 위해 영상의 밝기 정보와 곡선전개 방식을 이용한 기하 활성 모델을 제안한다. 영역의 경계를 추출하는 문제를 추출한 영역의 평균 밝기 값과 전개중인 폐곡선 영역의 밝기 값의 차론 최소화시키는 것으로 설정한다. 최적의 해를 구하는 방법으로 레벨세트 이론을 적용한 곡선전개 방법을 이용한다. 이 방식은 일반적인 활성 모델에 비해 초기 곡선 설정에 제약이 없고 동시에 여러 영역의 경계 추출이 가능하다. 제안 모델은 에지 정보가 충분치 못한 영상의 경우에도 일반적인 에지 기반 방식에 비해 추출 결과가 양호하였다. 비등방성 확산 필터를 사용하여 영상을 전처리 함으로써 보다 나은 추출이 수행되었다. CT나 MRI 영상을 이용하여 모델의 성능을 확인하였다.

For the applications which need a micro-power supply such as thin and flat displays, micro-robot, and micro-system, it is especially necessary to integrate the passive components because they typically need more than 2/3 of the space of the conventional circuit. Therefore, we have designed and fabricated a novel piezoelectric micro transformer using the PZT thin film and MEMS technologies for application to the energy supply device of the micro-systems. The dimensions of the micro-transformer is 1000 ㎛ × 400 ㎛ × 4.8 ㎛ (length × width × thickness). The dynamic displacement of around 9.2 ± 0.064 ㎛ was observed at 10 V. The dynamic displacement varied almost linearly with applied voltage. The average voltage gain (step-up ratio) was approximately 2.13 at the resonant frequency (Fr=8.006 ㎑) and load resistance (RL) of 1 MΩ.

Level se and active contour(snakes) models are extensively used for image segmentation or shape extraction in computer vision. Snakes utilize the energy minimization concepts. and level set is based or. the curve evolution in order to extract contours from image data. In general, these two models have their own drawbacks. for instance. Snake acts pooly unless it is placed close in the wanted shape boundary, and it has difficult problem when image has multiple objects to be extracted. But, level set method is free of initial curve position problem, and has ability to handle topology of multiple objects. Nevertheless, level set method requires much more calculation time compared to snake model. In this paper, we use good points of two described models and also apply multi resolution algorithm in order to speed up the process without decreasing the performance of the shape extraction.

Piezoelectric transformers based on lead zirconate titanate(PZT) have been received considerable interest because of their wide potential applications in transformer, oscillator, resonance sensor, actuator, acoustic transducer, as well as active slider for hard disk drives. However, for the applications which need a small power supply such as thin and flat displays, microrobot, micro-system, it is especially necessary to integrate the passive components because they typically need more than 2/3 of the space of the conventional circuit. So, we have fabricated the piezoelectric micro-transformer to supply energy for micro-systems using PZT thin films and MEMS technologies.

Established in higher education as a dominant discourse, literary study has exercised a powerful hegemony in the academy since the early twentieth century. It proclaimed that it could provide the score for a modern education in the humanities by practicing the old ideal of humanist education, the aim of which is to produce a gentleman and scholar in a Christian society. In the meantime, the institution of literary study has rested on an relatively secure and unchallenged foundation of literary canon and highbrow culture of the elite. Recently, however, literary study as a canon was challenged, fell into crisis, and finally collapsed. It is now being transformed into the so-called broader Cultural Studies which incorporates both canonical literary texts and non-canonical cultural texts. Cultural studies suggests that literary study now embrace popular culture, such as film, television, video, advertising, pop songs, comics, and popular novels, all of which as a cultural text and a social document faithfully resisters the Zeitgeist of the times and permeates everyday experienced and life. As a result, the distinction between canonical texts and non-canonical ones became eroded. As the binary opposition between high and popular culture on which literary study was founded became under attack, Cultural Studied steps aside from elite literature and includes the texts of everyday life in its object of study, considerably broadening the horizon of the field of literary study. In the past, literary study dismissed popular texts as something that seriously lacks imagination and unity. Cultural Studies argues, however, that is also possible to apply a system of `deep` or `close` reading previously practiced only on canonical texts to popular non-canonical texts. Cultural Studies thus opens up a whole new possibility for studying and teaching literature and culture, even through it entails some unsolved methodological in practice. Opening up the canon by Cultural Studies seems to be inevitable in this age of popular culture and so does the collapse of the old paradigm of literary study based on the privileged center of canonical texts and highbrow literature. Cultural Studies, then, could be a new paradigm for the future, which would significantly enlarge the scope of literary study.

한국문학의 세계화를 위한 논의와 제안

This paper explores the problems and possibilities of introducing Korean literature to the world in the age of globalizaton. Today South Korea has become a proud member of the G20 summit, and an affluent, dynamic society which has achieved astonishing economic success in a short span of time. As South Korea emerges in the international community as an exemplary model of economic success, Korean movies and television dramas enjoy enormous popularity in Asia and even in Middle East as well. Meanwhile, the country has produced a number of internationally-acclaimed musicians, painters and pop artists. Notwithstanding such remarkable achievements, however, Korea literature is still relatively unknown. This paper discusses the ways in which Korean literature can become world literature, drawing attention from the world: how to overcome ultra-nationalism and provinciality; how to transcend the boundaries and get out of a global backwater; how to be free from militant political ideologies; and how to promote Korean literature overseas.
