Strong Absorption of Cations into a Cation Exchange Resin in Concentrated HClO$_4$

The absorptions of Fe(Ⅲ), Tb(Ⅲ), Tl(Ⅰ), Ce(Ⅲ), Th(Ⅳ), and $UO_2^{2+}$ ions into the Dowex 50W-X2, 100-200 mesh resin were investigated by spectrophotometry to understand the abnormal strong absorption behavior of cations to cation exchange resins in concentrated HClO4. The distribution coefficients increase in the order : Tl(Ⅰ) < Fe(Ⅲ) < Tb(Ⅲ)∼Ce(Ⅲ) < $UO_2^{2+}$< Th(Ⅳ) and the order is interpreted in terms of the ratio of charge-to-ionic radius. The mole ratios of increment of $ClO_4^-$ ion absorption to metal ion absorption showed the same order as the distribution coefficients, which indicates that the electrostatic association between $ClO_4^-$ ion and metal ion plays a major role in the strong absorption.

Recently, contents distribution technologies have been used to cope with the explosive demand for Web services. In this paper, we addressed the issue of the optimal placement of replicas in the environment where Web contents are replicated. We placed replicas so that clients can have access to replicas with the proper delay and bandwidth. We attempted to solve the problem via dynamic programming considering cost of delay and traffic We have come up with time complexity that is less than $O(n^2)$. We defined the threshold and proved that our algorithm guarantees the reliable services.

소음이 존재하고, 신호의 전달 시스템이 가변적인 환경에서 신호처리는 일반적으로 적응 알고리즘에 의해 이뤄진다. 다양한 적응 알고리즘들 중에서 LMS 알고리즘은 연산량이 적고, 구현이 쉬우며, 성능이 훌륭해 가장 널리 쓰이는 알고리즘이 되었다. LMS 알고리즘의 성능에 영향을 미치는 가장 중요한 요소 중 하나가 Step Size이다. 일반적으로, Step Size가 크면, 알고리즘 수렴 속도는 빨라지지만, 수렴 오차는 커지게 되고, Step Size가 작으면 수렴 오차는 작아지지만, 수렴 속도는 느려진다. Step Size의 이러한 특성을 상호 보완하고자 많은 방법들이 제안되어 오고 있다. 본 논문에서는 오차 제곱 변화 곡선의 기울기로부터 현재 상태에 대한 카테고리를 분류하여, Step Size를 매 단계마다 적절하게 가변시킴으로써, 결과적으로 수렴 속도와 정확도, 연산량을 향상시킨 새로운 개념의 Categorized 가변 스텝 사이즈 LMS 알고리즘을 제시하고, 그 성능은 실험을 통하여 수렴 속도와 Excessive Mean Square Error (EMSE), 연산량의 관점에서 향상되었음을 검증하였다. Information processing in variable and noisy environments is usually accomplished by means of adaptive filters. Among various adaptive algorithms, Least Mean Square (LMS) has become the most popular for its robustness, good tracking capabilities and simplicity, both in terms of computational load and easiness of implementation. In practical application of the LMS algorithm, the most important key parameter is the Step Size. As is well known, if the Step Size is large, the convergence rate of the algorithm will be rapid, but the steady state mean square error (MSE) will increase. On the other hand, if the Step Size is small, the steady state MSE will be small, but the convergence rate will be slow. Many researches have been proposed to alleviate this drawback by using a variable Step Size. In this paper, a new variable Step Size LMS(VSSLMS) called Categorized VSSLMS (CVSSLMS) is proposed. CVSSLMS updates the Step Size by categorizing the current status of the gradient, hence significantly improves the convergence rate. The performance of the proposed algorithm was verified from the view point of convergence rate, Excessive Mean Square Error(EMSE), and complexity through experiments.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 위한 이동 호스트의 서버 선택 알고리즘

According as computer hardware became smaller and its performing power became improved due to the developed computer technology, clients demand more powerful accessibility to various information through getting the information at every time and every place. These needs led to the Ubiquitous computing technology which makes it possible to have access to a specific information regardless of clients' physical location. In this paper, we propose an approach that mobile host can get data from proper contents server by applying Contents Distributing Network to wireless network. By simulation, this paper proves that this approach can Improve performance by using contents server selection in wireless network. This research will contribute to realizing the Ubiquitous computing technology. 컴퓨터 하드웨어의 크기가 작아지고 성능이 향상되어 노트북, PDA 등 개인용 휴대 컴퓨터의 사용이 늘어남에 따라 물리적 위치에 관계없이 어느 곳에서나 원하는 정보를 손쉽게 접근하고자 하는 사용자들의 요구는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술을 탄생시켰다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 유선환경에서 빠르고 안정적인 서비스를 위하여 사용한 콘텐츠 분산 네트워크 기술을 이동 환경에 적용하여 이동 호스트가 적절한 콘텐츠 서버를 선택하여 서비스 받음으로써 이동 중에도 단절 없이 콘텐츠를 서비스 받을 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다 이동 환경에 적합한 서버 선택 알고리즘을 제안함으로써 보다 효율적인 전송이 가능함을 실험을 통해 보였으며 이러한 연구는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 실현에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

Ada 프로그램에서 패키지 활용의 국부화 모델에 관한 연구

Software system is a hierarchical structure with collection of program units. Software system can import external packages globally or locally depending on the usage within a system. If the imported package is used globally, the soft-ware system can be influenced globally by any change of package and programmer's debugging time for the program maintenance will be greater. To solve these problems, it is desirable to use the imported package locally right on the usage point within the system. The model presented in this paper analyzed entity usage of package in structure of program, identified the usage level to obtain localization and provided information for restructure of the program to localize package usage. To obtain localization, it identified declared entities inside the imported package and analyzed the specification and body part of program unit to identify entities referenced from the imported package. The proposed model can be used to improve the maintainability of software system and contributed to reduction of programmer's debugging time in program maintenance.

At present there is a increasing interest on dyslexia, not only medical science, psychology and linguistics but also special education studies in Korea. Unfortunately that is not yet in library and information sciences. This study is intended to develop the service model of the public libraries for dylexics in Korea. In order to accomplish the intention, the service models of the public libraries are benchmarked in the northern European countries, namely, Sweden, Denmark, and Finland. The service model developed in the study is applicable in school and university libraries as well. 현재 공공도서관의 장애인 정보봉사는 주로 신체적 장애인에 초점을 맞추어 이루어지기 때문에, 정신적 장애인에 대한 정보봉사는 아직 매우 부족한 실정이며, 더욱이 학습장애인의 일종인 난독증 이용자에 대한 정보봉사는 거의 이루어지지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 난독인을 위한 국내 공공도서관의 정보봉사 모델을 개발하기 위하여, 국내 공공도서관의 정보봉사 현황을 조사 분석하고, 또한 현재 이들에 대한 정보봉사가 활성화되어있는 북유럽 3개국 즉, 스웨덴, 덴마크, 그리고 핀란드의 공공도서관 실태를 벤치마킹하여, 우리나라 공공도서관의 실정에 맞는 정보봉사 모델을 제시한다.
