Strong Absorption of Cations into a Cation Exchange Resin in Concentrated HClO$_4$

The absorptions of Fe(Ⅲ), Tb(Ⅲ), Tl(Ⅰ), Ce(Ⅲ), Th(Ⅳ), and $UO_2^{2+}$ ions into the Dowex 50W-X2, 100-200 mesh resin were investigated by spectrophotometry to understand the abnormal strong absorption behavior of cations to cation exchange resins in concentrated HClO4. The distribution coefficients increase in the order : Tl(Ⅰ) < Fe(Ⅲ) < Tb(Ⅲ)∼Ce(Ⅲ) < $UO_2^{2+}$< Th(Ⅳ) and the order is interpreted in terms of the ratio of charge-to-ionic radius. The mole ratios of increment of $ClO_4^-$ ion absorption to metal ion absorption showed the same order as the distribution coefficients, which indicates that the electrostatic association between $ClO_4^-$ ion and metal ion plays a major role in the strong absorption.

This study is the result of the analysis on the user interface of the Korean internet newspapers. To investigate the user interfaces, the home pages of the 6 internet newspaper were selected as the samples. Then, the information procedures, designs. information presentations, and searching routines of that samples were analyzed. For the home-page design of the internet newspaper and the education of the article search by the journalist-librarian with the press or the librarian in common. the results of the paper will be helpful. 인터넷 서비스에 있어서 뉴스이 이용이 가장 높은 것으로 나타남으로써. 인터넷 전자질문의 이용자 인터페이스에 관한 연구자들의 관심이 고조되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 6개 인터넷 전자신문의 이용자 인터페이스를 홈페이지를 중심으로 조사 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 인터넷 전자신문의 표준화된 웹디자인에 관심이 있는 신문사 조사기사와 전자신문 기사의 검색교육 및 활용에 관심이 있는 사서에게 인터넷 전자신문의 이용자 인터페이스에 대한 기본적인 지식을 제공할 것이다.

대도시 공공도서관의 '독서의 달' 프로그램의 주제 분석

본 연구에서는 7대도시 지역(서울, 부산, 대구, 인천, 대전, 광주, 울산)의 62개 공공도서관에서 '독서의 달' 프로그램으로 제공된 622개의 이벤트성 프로그램을 대상으로 그것의 주제를 내용 분석하였다. 그 결과 본 연구에서는 공공도서관은 '독서의 달' 프로그램의 주요 주제로 독서와 문화에 초점을 맞추고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. The purpose of this study is to identify the main subjects of the reading programs which are provided by the public libraries during september, "the reading month," in 7 metropolitan cities, Seoul, Pusan, Daegu, Incheon, Daejeon, Gwangju, and Ulsan. To achieve this purpose, the data are collected from 622 programs of the sixty-two libraries. The content analysis method was used to analyze data and find results from it. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Reading and culture are identified as the main subjects of the programs. 2. The preferred subjects among the public libraries in 7 metropolitan cities are identified as different.

유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅을 위한 이동 호스트의 서버 선택 알고리즘

According as computer hardware became smaller and its performing power became improved due to the developed computer technology, clients demand more powerful accessibility to various information through getting the information at every time and every place. These needs led to the Ubiquitous computing technology which makes it possible to have access to a specific information regardless of clients' physical location. In this paper, we propose an approach that mobile host can get data from proper contents server by applying Contents Distributing Network to wireless network. By simulation, this paper proves that this approach can Improve performance by using contents server selection in wireless network. This research will contribute to realizing the Ubiquitous computing technology. 컴퓨터 하드웨어의 크기가 작아지고 성능이 향상되어 노트북, PDA 등 개인용 휴대 컴퓨터의 사용이 늘어남에 따라 물리적 위치에 관계없이 어느 곳에서나 원하는 정보를 손쉽게 접근하고자 하는 사용자들의 요구는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 기술을 탄생시켰다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 유선환경에서 빠르고 안정적인 서비스를 위하여 사용한 콘텐츠 분산 네트워크 기술을 이동 환경에 적용하여 이동 호스트가 적절한 콘텐츠 서버를 선택하여 서비스 받음으로써 이동 중에도 단절 없이 콘텐츠를 서비스 받을 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다 이동 환경에 적합한 서버 선택 알고리즘을 제안함으로써 보다 효율적인 전송이 가능함을 실험을 통해 보였으며 이러한 연구는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅의 실현에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

웹 사용자와 대용량 콘텐츠의 급증으로 웹 서버와 네트워크의 부하가 가중되고 웹 서비스의 질이 떨어지는 문제가 발생하였으며 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 콘텐츠를 다수의 지역서버에 복사하고 가까운 지역서버로 하여금 클라이언트의 요청을 처리하도록 하여 웹 서버의 부하를 줄이고 트래픽을 분산하는 콘텐츠 분산 네트워크 기술이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 분산 네트워크의 지역서버를 이용하여 클라이언트 그룹의 콘텐츠 요청을 가까운 지역서버가 담당하도록 하며, 전송에 있어서는 MDC 코딩과 다중채널에 의한 전송으로 전송 중 오류를 줄이고 지연시간을 단축할 수 있는 전송 메커니즘을 제안한다. 이러한 연구는 멀티미디어 웹 서비스의 성능 개선에 기여할 수 있을 것이다. A rapid growth in the number of Internet users and in massive media contents tends to cause server overload and high network traffic. As a consequence, it can be safely assumed that the quality of service is on the brink of deterioration. A solution of this problem is the development of the Content Distribution Network. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a transmission model using CDN. This model uses regional media server which closes to client, and uses MDC coding and multi-channel to reduce packet loss and delay. In conclusion, this study improved performance of multimedia service by reducing packet loss and delay.

Ada 프로그램에서 패키지 활용의 국부화 모델에 관한 연구

Software system is a hierarchical structure with collection of program units. Software system can import external packages globally or locally depending on the usage within a system. If the imported package is used globally, the soft-ware system can be influenced globally by any change of package and programmer's debugging time for the program maintenance will be greater. To solve these problems, it is desirable to use the imported package locally right on the usage point within the system. The model presented in this paper analyzed entity usage of package in structure of program, identified the usage level to obtain localization and provided information for restructure of the program to localize package usage. To obtain localization, it identified declared entities inside the imported package and analyzed the specification and body part of program unit to identify entities referenced from the imported package. The proposed model can be used to improve the maintainability of software system and contributed to reduction of programmer's debugging time in program maintenance.
