        Effective Teaching of High Frequency Collocational Word-Combinations in The Lion King Animation

        In this study, the main aim is to investigate the general usage of lexical items and collocational word combinations used in The Lion King (1994) animation in accordance with the frequency level. In addition, there is an insightful exploration of how these collocational word-formations should be dealt with in order to maximize students' learning in second language teaching. To answer these research questions, the range and frequency corpus programme was adopted to show the total words occurring with high frequency verbs and collocational combinations in The Lion King. In comparing the level of word usage, there was a statistical comparison with the list of 736 recommended words for elementary school students suggested by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Korea (MEST, 2008). The study suggests that since the simple and low level of words are spoken throughout the text, it may be an appropriate material to achieve the pedagogical goals such as teaching basic vocabulary and collocational word usages useful for developing communicative competence. It is a crucial part of the study to present the appropriate level of teaching material containing recommended words and pedagogical implications of teaching collocational combinations using animations in ELT and EFL situations.

        프랜차이즈 브랜드 스토리텔링과 감각추구성향이 브랜드 이미지에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        최근 프랜차이즈 시장은 가맹점 창업이 지속적으로 증가함에 따라 포화상태가 되었고 무한 경쟁시대에 도달 하였다. 또한 여러 브랜드들은 서비스와 품질의 차별화가 어려워지고 있어 차별화된 커뮤니케이션 전략이 필 요한 실정이다. 최근 차별화에 성공한 기업은 그들만의 강력한 스토리를 가지고 있으며, 이러한 스토리를 통 해 소비자와 지속적으로 공감대를 형성해 나가고 있다. 하지만 프랜차이즈 브랜드에 관련한 연구들을 살펴보 면 스토리텔링을 활용한 연구는 찾아보기 힘든 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 프랜차이즈 브랜드 환경에서 스토리텔링을 활용한 방식과 기존에 많이 활용하고 있는 속성과 기능을 활용한 소구 방식을 소비자의 심리적 성향인 감각추구성향 이론을 도입하여 비교 분석하였다. 감각추구성향은 항상 새롭고 다양한 감정을 느끼고자 하는 소비자의 심리적 성향이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 성향이 높은 고감각추구자는 감성적 소구인 스토리텔링을 선호할 것이며, 반대로 저감각추구자는 속성과 기 능을 활용한 소구 방식에 선호할 것으로 보고 연구를 진행하였다. 연구결과 유의미한 상호작용 효과를 확인할 수 있었다. 저감각추구성향의 속성기능을 강조하였을 때 더욱 긍 정적인 이미지를 형성한 반면 고감각추구성향의 소비자의 경우 스토리텔링을 강조하였을 때 더욱 긍정적인 이미지를 형성하였다. 이처럼 심리적성향인 감각추구성향에 따라 소비자가 가지는 인식은 다르게 나타날 수 있다는 점을 확인한 본 연구는 기존의 이론을 확장하였으며, 다양한 커뮤니케이션 분야에 기여할 것이다. The competition of domestic franchise restaurants in Korea has been limitless and dominated its market. Since there is no big difference between their service and the quality of the food among brands, the strategy of how the restaurants communicate with its customers has been necessary for making a differentiation in this field. The companies that have been successful in making a differentiation have their own storytelling. They have inspired their customers and tried to communicate with them through its storytelling. Despite the storytelling marketing has been widely used in many other industries to date, there has been minimal research regarding it. This research has analyzed how customers reacted between storytelling appeal and functional attributes appeal which has been commonly used, using sensation seeking which reflects customers' psychological disposition. The research has been conducted based on the hypothesis about high sensation seekers will respond more to storytelling rather than low sensation seeker will since high sensation seekers need an ad which is stimulating and sensational rather than plain. On the other hand, low sensation seekers will respond more to functional attributes appeal rather than high sensation seekers will. The result has brought clarity between high sensation seekers and low sensation seekers after this research. Low sensation seekers responded more to functional attributes appeal, on the other hand, high sensation seekers responded more to storytelling. Based on the results of this research in which customers have responded differently according to sensation seeking, it has extended the previous studies and will make a contribution to various communication fields.

        전자 제어식 가솔린 엔진의 벽류 생성 요인에 관한 연구

        Mixture formation is one of the significant factors to improve combustion performance of an spark ignition engine. This is affected by spray and atomization characteristics of injector. In the case of EGI system, air-fuel mixing period is so short that a lot of fuel-film and liquid-fuel flow into cylinder. Since this fuel-film is not burnt perfectly in cylinder, it is exhausted in the form of HC emission. In this paper, three measurement techniques were utilized to measure spray characteristics and the amount of fuel-film in the cylinder. At first, PMAS was used to measure the spray characteristics such as size distributions, SMD, and spray angle. Secondly the amount and distribution of fuel-film which flow into through intake valve could be measured quantitatively using the fuel-film measuring device. And lastly, by optical fiber type spark plug used to detect the diffusion flame, the amount of unburned HC was measured. As the result of these experiments, the information of optimal spray characteristics and injection condition to minimize fuel-film could be built up.

        An Analysis of Videoconferencing Learning in Primary Schools

        This study investigated how teaching English through an interactive videoconferencing tool develops learners’ language performance and also supports their psychological efficacy in primary English language settings. Videoconferencing in the English class involved 201 primary school students for eight weeks in Jeonnam Province. The results indicated that students showed positive learning behavior and productive achievement in language learning using the videoconferencing tool. In addition, the study found that interacting online with distant native-speaking teachers enhanced students’ motivation and interest in learning. This seems to indicate that multimedia assisted language learning (MALL) can facilitate learners’ self-directed language learning and other learning strategies. Furthermore, implementing videoconferencing teaching methodology can be a way of providing significant pedagogical benefits to the geographically disadvantaged areas including the large number of islands located in Korea.

        정적 대변형에 중첩된 미소 동적 하중을 받는 고무재료의 점탄성 구성방식에 관한 연구

        A viscoelastic constitutive equation of rubber is proposed under small oscillatory load superimposed on large static deformation. The proposed model is derived through linearization of Simos nonlinear viscoelastic constitutive model and reference configuration transformation. Statically pre-deformed state is used as reference configuration. The model is extended to a generalized viscoelastic constitutive equation including widely-used Mormans model. Static deformation correction factor is introduced to consider the influence of pre-strain on the relaxation function. The model is tested for dynamic behavior of rubbers with different carbon black fractions. It is shown that the constitutive equation with static deformation correction factor agrees well with test results.

        관광호텔 종사원의 직무만족에 관한실증적 연구

        Unlike manufacturing industry, hotels as an service industry heavily rely on human resources which constitute main sources of asset in the industry. Along this line this paper would like to observe the factors affecting work satisfaction of the hotel employees that could lead to help an effective human resources management. Modeling intrinsic and extrinsic factors influencing job satisfaction author surveyed questionnaires distributed to workers in deluxe hotels at Seoul. Factor analysis and structural equation revealed that all the hypothesized factors such as work condition, leadership, personal development opportunity, wage and fringe benefits, work stability and peer group relationship affect the work satisfaction significantly in statistical sense.
