EGI system has severe problem that heavy HC emission is generated due to large fuel droplet and fuel film attachment. Therefore. for the purpose of reducing HC emission. various atomization techniques is being developed. The one among those techniques is air shrouded injector. which has better atomization ability and demand less power loss than other atomizers.<br/> In this study, using Malvern system and fuel film measurement device, the atomization and fuel film characteristics of an air shrouded injector was analyzed, and design factors to develop air shrouded injector was established.

In a gasoline engine with port injection system, the fuel behavior in the intake port has significant influence on the HC emission and the precise A/F control. That is to say, it is inevitable that the injection direction and behavior of fuel injected in the intake port have an effect on the generation of unbumed HC within a cylinder.<br/> In this paper, we visualize fuel behavior in the intake port using micro CCD camera synchronized with the stroboscope and investigate the fuel-film characteristics formed at the wall of intake port by processing image captured with VCR in the transparent intake port made of acryl.<br/> With these measuring methods, it was found that the fuel behavior and the formation of fuel-film in the intake port could be evaluated qualitatively. These results show that 2spray injector has a good response and minimizes the fuel-film in a DOHC gasoline engine.<br/>

With advances in olfactory sensor technologies, the number of reports on various intelligent applications using multiple sensors (sensor arrays) are continuously increasing for fields such as medicine, environment, security, etc. For intelligent and point-of-care applications, it is not only important for the sensor technology to perform chemical or physical measurements rapidly and accurately, but it is also important for artificial intelligence technology to recognize and quantify specific chemicals or diagnose diseases such as lung cancer and diabetes. In particular, great advances in pattern recognition technologies, including deep learning algorithms, as well as sensor array technologies, are expected to enhance the potential of various types of olfactory intelligence applications, including early cancer diagnosis, drug seeking, military operations, and air pollution monitoring.

The government have been tightening EM regulation gradually but the effect is not good because of rapid increase of vehicles. And medium & heavy duty diesel vehicles, even though the number is small, exhaust very large pollutants(about over 50%). Especially it is more severe about old trucks and buses. Accordingly, CNG vehicle and the retrofit of diesel to CNG must be an alternative in order to protect the atmospheric environment and improve the air quality in the metropolitan area. The main object of this study is to secure the retrofit technology of diesel to CNG vehicle and the management system of CNG engine. we passed the government emission certification test. In addition to this, the mass production for retrofit is also studied. Results of emission and durability test for certification are as follows; there was no problem during 30,000㎞ vehicle durability test and good emission levels satisfying the regulation.

We present results of a test-study of the large-scale survey using the multi-beam receiver system recently installed on the 14 m telescope at Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory (TRAO). We have tested several modes of mapping, and found suitable (time-saving) mapping parameters of 'ON-SOURCE' = 8, 'OFF-SOURCE' = 1 when using 'RPT' = 3 as a position-switching mode. We observed 504 spectra towards the NGC 7538, a star forming molecular cloud in the transition of J = 1 - 0 of $^{12}CO$. From the Outer Galaxy Survey database (Heyer et al., 1998) we obtained 504 spectra for the same region. We compared integrated intensities, line profiles of two databases, and found that they are consistent to each other. From the intensity ratio of these two databases we also found that the value of forward spillover scattering of the TRAO telescope system is 0.58.
