The objective of this is to develop a practical software package to calculate annual energy consumption of HVAC (Heating Ventilating, and Air Conditioning) System in a building. It can quickly estimate loads and energy consumption, and have a function of economic analysis through the estimation of operating cost. Techniques of save energy consumption used in a building are necessary from the stage of design process to operation. The single most significant task is on HVAC Systems. Their installation costs, and related operating costs have enormous influence upon initial and maintenance costs. HVAC designers and engineers now have a wide variety of software choices available, but only a few of them have been developed in this country and no source program has been disclosed. Neither load culculation nor estimation of energy consumption is systematically made by the domestic HVAC design firms. Even though computer improved over the years with a trend of large scale load calculation and system selection through simulaion, the utilization of software nowadays does not make good progress due to lack of working environment. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a practical software package with which load calculation can be made with ease and kind manner. This study concerns the development of a software package which makes it possible to design HVAC system and save energy consumption in operation. The algorithm used in this program is a Modified Bin Method widely known as a simplified energy analysis means.

This study proposes a numerical model to explain the closely placed double modes in the vibration of a layered stone pagoda system. The friction surface between the stones is modelled as the Timoshenko finite element while each stone layer is modelled as a rigid body. It is assumed that the irregular asperity on the friction surface enables the stone to be excited. This results in the closely placed modes that are composed of natural modes and self-excited modes. To examine the validity of the proposed model, a set of modal testing and analysis for a layered stone pagoda mock-up model has been conducted and a set of closely placed double modes are extracted. Applying the extended sensitivity-based system identification technique, the various system parameters are identified so that the modal parameters of the proposed numerical model are the same with those of the experimental mock-up. For a horizontal impulse excitation, the simulated acceleration responses are compared with measurements.

본 연구에서는 고유진동수를 이용하여 승강기 와이어 로프의 장력을 추정하는 방법에 대하여 소개한다. 제안 방법은 와이어로프의 진동수를 가속도계를 이용하여 계측하고 현이론법과 선형회귀법를 이용하여 장력을 추정하는 것이다. 제안 방법의 유효성을 검증하기 위하여 실물 승강기에 대하여 다양한 하중상태에 대하여 실험을 수행 하였다. 실험결과로부터 현이론법 및 선형회귀법 모두 오차범위 <TEX>${\pm}10%$</TEX> 이내로 정확한 값을 추정할 수 있었으며, 제안 방법은 승강기 와이어로프 장력추정 실무에서의 적용이 가능성할 것으로 판단된다. This study introduces the estimation technique of tension force on elevator wire rope using measured frequencies. The proposed approach estimates tension force of elevator wire rope by appling the measured frequencies into the taut string theory or linear regression technique. Such frequencies are measured by accelerometers attached on elevator wire rope. To validate the proposed approach, the various experimental cases for real elevator wire ropes are conducted. The results reveal that both the taut string theory and the linear regression technique show an error bound of <TEX>${\pm}10%$</TEX>. Thus, in practice, the proposed approach could be used for the estimation of tension force on elevator wire rope.
비부착식 PSC 텐던의 도입응력이 응력파 속도에 미치는 영향

This study experimentally investigates the effects of applied stress level on the stress wave velocity of unbonded PSC tendon. A set of longitudinal impact-echo tests with respect to several applied prestress levels are conducted for both unbonded prestressed strand and steel wire. The comparison results show that the longitudinal stress wave velocity is linearly proportional to the applied stress level in the case both strand and steel wire. However, the sensitivity of the longitudinal stress wave velocity to the applied stress level is very low. Based on the result of nondimensional analysis, it is postulated that the stress wave velocity is also affected by the tensile strength level. 본 연구는 비부착식 PSC 텐던에 도입된 응력이 종진동 응력파 속도에 미치는 영향을 실험적으로 규명한다. 도입 긴장력이다른 강연선과 강선에 대하여 임팩트 해머를 이용한 종방향 가진이 수행되었고 종방향 응력파의 속도 계측이 수행되었다. 계측된 구조응답으로부터 종진동 응력파의 속도가 도입장력의 크기에 선형 비례하는 것이 강연선 및 강선 모두의 경우에서 확인되었다. 그러나 응력파속도의 도입장력에 대한 민감도가 매우 낮다. 또한 무차원 해석결과를 살펴보면, 긴장재의 인장강도에 따라서도 응력파속도가 변화하는 것으로 추론된다.
