2pipe system and household substation is a method to reduce the heat loss of the pipe lines and manage efficiently. In this study, the proper conditions of circulation flow to adopt household substation was suggested. The experiment was conducted to investigate the characteristics of the household substation. And then annual operation of the 2pipe system with the household substation was simulated and evaluated. To keep the hot water temperature of final users, secondary supply temperature was decided by the result of the experiment and the simulation. Under the conditions which the secondary supply temperature is 50℃ and the temperature drop is less then 3℃, the circulation flow was derived. By using 2pipe system and household substation, annual heat loss was evaluated by approximately 25% reduction against present 4 pipe system.

N/A Acute cholecystitis is a common disease in surgical field. The management of this disease has been steadily improved over the years, but its treatment has been controversial (early or delayed operation). Acute cholecystitis is mainly caused by cystic duct obstruction by gallstone. The incidence of biliary stone is increased with aging, and old age group is highly likely to have local complications such as GB empyema, GB gangrene, generalized peritonitis by perforation, and pericholecystic abscess. We have analyzed 1156 patients (male 532, female 624; l:l.17) who hve undergone operations due to biliary stone during June 1989 to December 1991 in the general surgery department of Asan Medical Center. Amone those cases, we were more concentrated on analyzing two major categories. The first involved in the acute cholecystitis were 75 cases and the other involving their local complications were in the followings; 60 cases of GB empyema, 5 cases of GB gantrene, 2 cases of GB perforation and 2 cases of pericholecystic abscess. (Total 114 cases) Our results show that most of the delayed operations in mostly older male group tend to have postoperative complications when especially DM is accompanied with. In addition, the postoperative complications also appear to increase in GB empyema, GB gangrene, GB perforation, and pericholecystiic abscess. Therefore, we conclude from our study to recommend these patients to have a rather prompt operation.
중랑천 유역에서의 Vflo™ 모형이 매개변수 민감도 분석

물 순환과정을 평가하기 위한 도구로 사용되는 수문모형은 크게 분포형 모형과 집중형 모형으로 구분할 수 있다. 지형 특성 자료의 제공과 활용을 위한 시스템이 등장하고 컴퓨터 계산 능력이 발달하면서 과거 집중형 모형에서 분포형 모형을 이용한 연구와 적용이 진행되고 있다. 개념적 경험적 의미가 큰 집중형 모형과는 달리 분포형 모형의 경우, 격자 기반의 유역 특성 및 강우 자료로부터 초기 매개변수 값(first-guess value)을 추정하기 때문에 모형 보정 시 미세한 매개변수 조정이 요구된다. 따라서 모형 내 구성된 매개변수별 특성과 민감도를 정확하게 파악할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 물리적 기반의 분포형 모형인 Vflo™모형의 매개변수별 민감도를 분석하기 위하여 중랑천 유역을 대상유역으로 선정하고 적용하였다. 이를 위하여 중랑천 수계 하천정비기본계획(경기도, 1996)을 참고하여 재현기간 100년에 지속시간 6시간 설계강우를 작성하고, 이로부터 각 매개변수 변화에 따른 유출량 변화를 모의하였다. 그 결과, 수리전도도는 유역 전체의 유출고에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고 지표면 조도계수는 첨두 발생시간의 변화없이 첨두유량값 즉, 수문곡선의 형태에 민감하게 반응하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 반면, 하도 구간의 조도계수는 비슷한 유출고에 대하여 첨두유량값과 도달시간에 매우 큰 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. Watershed models, which are a tool for water cycle mechanism, are classified as the distributed model and the lumped model. Currently, the distributed models have been more widely used than lumped model for many researches and applications. The lumped model estimates the parameters in the conceptual and empirical sense, on the other hand, in the case of distributed model the first-guess value is estimated from the grid-based watershed characteristics and rainfall data. Therefore, the distributed model needs more detailed parameter adjustment in its calibration and also one should precisely understand the model parameters' characteristics and sensitivity. This study uses Jungnang basin as a study area and Vtlo™ model, which is a physics-based distributed hydrologic model, is used to analyze its parameters' sensitivity. To begin with, 100 years frequency-design rainfall is derived from Huff's method for rainfall duration of 6 hours, then the discharge is simulated using the calibrated parameters of Vtlo™ model. As a result, hydraulic conductivity and overland's roughness have an effect on runoff depth and peak discharge, respectively, while channel's roughness have influence on travel time and peak discharge.

In this study, the concept of safety impact assessment to achieve `Design-for-Safety` in design phase is introduced. For this purpose, safety impact assessment model was devised and a methodology using the risk-based safety impact assessment approach for NATM of tunnel projects is suggested. The suggested methodology includes safety information survey, classification of safety impact factors caused by design and construction, and quantitative estimation of magnitude and frequency of safety impact factors. A real-world case study on the safety impact assessment of a tunnel construction project is also provided in the paper.
