This study deals with the case study on the pallet quantity determination problem for the flexible manufacturing system producing 32 different types of aircraft wing ribs which are major structures of an aircraft wings. A Korean company has constructed the WFMS (wing rib flexible manufacturing system) that is composed of several automated equipments such as the 5-axis machining centers, the RGV (rail guided vehicles)s, the AS/RS (automated storage and retrieval system), the loading/unloading stations, and so on. Pallets play a critical role in the WFMS to maintain high system utilization and continuous work flow between 5-axis machining machines and automated material handling devices. The discrete event simulation method is used to evaluate the performance of the WFMS under various pallet mix alternatives for wing rib manufacturing processes. Four performance measures including system utilization, throughput, lead-time and work in process inventory level are investigated to determine the best pallet mix alternative. The best pallet mix identified by the simulation study is adopted in setting up and operating a real Korean aircraft parts manufacturing shop. By comparing the real WFMS’s performances with those of the simulation study, we discussed the cause of performance difference observed and the necessity of developing the CPS (cyber physical system).
도시이미지의 구조모형과 도시 간 비교분석 (p.517-536)

도시계획 및 도시마케팅을 성공적으로 수행하기 위해 우선적으로 요구되는 것은 시민들의 자발적인 참여와 협조이며, 따라서 이를 위한 기본적 출발점은 시민 입장에서 특정 도시의 이미지를 평가하는 것이다. 이렇게 평가된 도시이미지는 진단과 도시계획의 기초로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 도시이미지의 결정요인으로 성장잠재력, 도시서비스수준, 친환경성, 및 문화수준으로 대별하고, 이들 결정요인과 도시이미지 및 정주만족도간의 관계를 구조모형으로 제시하고, 안동시와 비교도시인 서울특별시를 대상으로 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과와 함의는 도시이미지를 개선하기 위한 방안들을 도출하는데 사용될 수 있을 것이다. To succeed in both city planning and city marketing, the fundamental point is to evaluate the city image from a citizen's perspective since the citizen's voluntary participation and cooperation is needed. This study includes the level of city's potential growth, services, environment-friendly and culture as the determinants of city image. The baseline model is presented with these four elements and their relationship to city image and the latter to the degree of resident's satisfaction. Data from Seoul and Andong were collected and used to analyze the baseline model and compare two groups. Results and implications of this study can be used to implement plans to improve each city's image.

임의의 단면과 임의의 경계조건을 갖는 구조요소에 대한 진동해석 방법은 1974년 D.H.Kim에 의해 제시되었다. 이 방법은 복합적층판을 포함한 2차원 문제의 1차모드 진동해석으로 확장하였다. passive와 active 제어 장치를 가지는 빌딩슬래브는 탄성지지된 것과 같이 거동한다. 이 논문에서는 표제의 문제를 해결하기 위하여 이 방법을 사용하였으며, 진동해석에 필요한 처짐 영향면을 유한 차분법을 사용하여 구하였다. 고유 진동수에 대한 슬래브 강성-기초탄성계수의 상대적인 값의 영향을 고찰하였다. A method of calculating the natural frequency corresponding to the first mode of vibration of beams and tower structures, with irregular cross-sections and with arbitrary boundary conditions was developed and reported by D. H. Kim in 1974. This method has been developed for two-dimensional problems including the laminated composite plates and was proved to be very effective for the plates with arbitrary boundary conditions and irregular sections. In this paper, the result of application of this method to the building slabs with passive and active control devices is presented. Finite difference method is used to obtain the deflection influence surfaces needed for this vibration analysis in this paper. The influence of the modulus of the foundation on the natural frequency is thoroughly studied.

A 200W pulsed Nd: YAG laser for fine welding was developed. The important laser parameters such as laser peak power, average power, pulse width, and pulse energy for welding were studied. In order to obtain the sufficient laser power density for welding, thermal lensing effects were analyzed and a laser resonator with laser beam divergence was designed. The power supply unit was designed to support up to 7kW input. The pulse control unit was developed using a GTO thyristor and could control over 100kW input power to obtain 3.5kW peak power laser. Also due to the GTO thyristor the pulse width could be varied continuously from 0.1 to 20 msec and maximum repetition rate was as high as 300pps.
