과학활동에서의 프로젝트 접근이 유아의 과학적 문제해결력에 미치는 효과

본 연구는 과학활동에 대한 프로젝트 접근이 유아의 과학적 문제해결력에 어떠한 효과가 있는지를 알아보기 위해 J도에 소재한 병설유치원 유아 20명을 대상으로 연구하였다. 실험집단은 과학적 주제로 ‘자전거’ 에 대한 프로젝트 활동을 실시하였고 비교 집단은 단원중심 과학활동을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 프로젝트 활동을 한 실험집단이 단원중심 과학활동을 한 비교집단보다 문제해결력에서 유아들의 점수가 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 과학활동에 대한 프로젝트 접근이 유아들의 과학적 문제해결력을 신장시키는데 효과적이라고 결론지을 수 있다. The purpose of this research is to recognize what effects of using project approach on children's scientific problem-solving ability. The 20 subjects for this study were selected from kindergarten students in elementary school. The 10 students were placed in the experimental group and the 10 students were positioned in the control group. The study process was as follows: training the subjects, testing the project preparatorily, pre-testing, experimenting, post-testing and processing data. The experiment was conducted with the project on bicycles on the experimental group doing the project practice and on the control group doing a unit-oriented science practice 14 times for 7 weeks. In order to recognize whether the ability to scientifically solve problems was improved, I took the pretest and post-test using t-test. While both the groups proved to be the same group through the pretest, through the post-test the experimental group doing the project practice was proved to get higher scores than the control group doing a unit-oriented science practice. According to the findings, I got the following conclusion: the project approach method which enables children to find problems for themselves, to operate them, to think about them is suitable for improving the ability to solve problems scientifically. And I came to get the thought that researches to find new teaching-learning methods to improve the ability to solve problems scientifically should be performed continually.

Froeble 이론에 나타난 유아수학교육에 대한 이론적 고찰

본 연구는 Froebel이 인간교육을 위해 유치원 교육과정에 적용하였던 수학적 활동에 대한 이론적 근거를 알아보기 위해 수행되었다. 연속체적 발달을 통해 인간발달의 목표인 통일을 원했던 Froebel은 수학교육을 통해 통일에 도달할 수 있다고 보았다. 따라서 Froebel의 수학교육은 단지 유치원 수준의 활동뿐만 아니라 그 속에는 인간의 연속적 발달을 위한 단계적 활동들이 포함되어 있다. Froebel 이론에서는 수학교육을 인간교육의 발달적 과정과 같은 맥락으로 연관성을 제시하고 있다. 따라서 수학교육을 통해 인간교육의 목표인 통일에 도달할 수 있다는 Froebel의 수학교육은 현대적 관점에서도 유아수학교육의 이론적 근거와 더불어 실제적 활동의 근거를 제시하고 있기 때문에 재조명 될 필요가 있다. The aim of this study is to describe and to analyze of Froebelian mathematical concepts which were expressed in the education of man. Froebel wanted to teach mathematics to young childrenan by using concrete materials and activities. This study are on focus as follows; to review the Froebelian mathematics educational principles for young children and to find out the historical meaning of Froebel's mathematical education program. Froebel devised the gifts(Spielgabe), the occupations, and activities for young children's mathematics. Included among his works ate mathematical concepts of the same kind unity, whole and parts, thing-points, lines, planes, and solid geometries. Froebel tried to teach such arithemetic and geometric attributes as symmetry, transformations, and combinations. Froebel's mathematics educational theories and practices had an influence on young children mathematics education. So, Froebel's mathematical concept in his works has been reexamined for young children curriculum. Froebel's mathematical indications make a discovery in child study movement, Montessori program, Piaget tasks, Peak and Nuffield mathmatics. The results of this study shows that Froebel's mathematics activities could be modified and applied the settlement for young children curriculum.
