저자 의도성(Authorial Intention)과 맥락화(Contextualization)의 관점에서 본 John Calvin의 갈라디아서 설교 연구

Despite John Calvin’s self-perception as preacher, studies of Calvin as a preacher and his sermons are relatively scarce compared to those of Calvin as a theologian. This paper analyzes Calvin’s 43 sermons on the book of Galatians and presents implications for Reformed preaching. To do so, the paper first synthesizes the general assessments of various scholars on Calvin’s preaching and the sermonic elements. Specifically, the analysis of Calvin’s Galatians sermons is evaluated through the lens of authorial intention and audience contextualization, which are essential criteria for contemporary biblical preaching. To this end, the paper provides an overview of comtemproary homiletics scholars' accounts of authorial intent and contextualization, as well as Calvin’s understandings of these concepts. Most of all, this paper analyzes each of Calvin’s 43 sermons in terms of of authorial intention and contextualization, and finds that they are sermons that faithfully reflect the intentions of the biblical author, appropriately contextualize the truth of the text for the life of the Geneva congregation, offering specific applications of warning and encouragement. The characteristics of Calvin’s sermon on Galatians-fidelity to the author’s intent in the biblical text as the Word of God, preaching with canonical context and clear doctrinal affirmation, a balance of legitimate contextualization based on the author’s intent, and a pastorally oriented passion through it all-provides important implications for Reformed preaching.

Purpose: A maximum P-wave duration (Pmax) of ≥110msec and a P-wave dispersion (PWD) ≥40msec are accepted indicators of a disturbance in interatrial conduction and an inhomogeneous propagation of the sinus impulse, respectively. The left atrial (LA) volume has been reported to be strongly associated with a systolic and diastolic dysfunction and is considered to be an index of atrial remodeling. We aimed to investigate the relationship between LA volume and Pmax or PWD in patients with congestive heart failure (CHF). Patients and Methods: Sixty-one patients with CHF were enrolled in this study. The study population was classified into four groups: two groups were divided according to the Pmax (≥110msec or <110ms), and the other two groups were formed based on the PWD (≥40msec or<40msec). The left atrial volume index (LAVi) was measured by three-dimensional (3-D) transthoracic echocardiography. The Pmax and PWD were measured from a 12-lead electrocardiogram. Results: There were significant differences in the ejection fraction (EF), diastolic function, and LAVi between patients with a Pmax ≥110ms or a PWD≥40ms and those with a Pmax<110ms or a PWD<40ms. The LAVi was independently associated with a disturbance in interatrial conduction and an inhomogeneous propagation of the sinus impulse. The LAVi can be used to identify patients with a disturbance in interatrial conduction and an inhomogeneous propagation of the sinus impulse with reasonably good accuracy. Conclusion: We concluded that a disturbance in interatrial conduction and an inhomogenous propagation of the sinus impulse in patients with CHF is associated with an increase in the LA volume and a deleterious systolic and diastolic dysfunction.

An auto weather-vaning system for a Dynamic Positioning (DP) vessel is proposed. When a DP vessel is operating, its position keeping is hindered by ocean environmental disturbances which include the ocean current, wave and wind. Generally, most ocean vessels have a longitudinal length that is larger than the transverse width. The largest load acts on the DP vessel by ocean disturbances, when the disturbances are incoming in the transverse direction. Weather- vaning is the concept of making the heading angle of the DP vessel head toward (or sway from) the disturbance direc-tion. This enables the DP vessel to not only perform marine operations stably and safely, but also to maintain its posi-tion with minimum control forces (surge & sway components). To implement auto weather-vaning, a nonlinear control¬ler and a disturbance observer are used. The disturbance observer transforms a real plant to the nominal model without disturbance to enhance the control performance. And the nonlinear controller deals with the kinematic nonlinearity. The auto weather-vaning system is completed by adding a weather-vaning algorithm to disturbance based controller. Numerical simulations of a semi-submersible type vessel were performed for the validation. The results show that the proposed method enables a DP vessel to maintain its position with minimum control force.

오늘날 한국교회가 심각한 위기에 봉착했다는 진단은 교회 안팎의 다양한 영역에서 들려온다. 설교가 기독교 신앙과 교회의 생명력에 핵 심 역할을 하기에, 교회의 위기 현상의 근본 원인으로 설교가 지목되는 것은 전혀 이상하지 않다. 특히 디지털 매체와 과학 기술이 주도하는 4 차 산업혁명이 목회환경에 급격한 변화를 일으키던 가운데, 코로나19 로 인한 비대면 예배와 온라인 영상 설교의 대중화는 현대 설교의 위기 를 더 가속화되고 있다. 여기에 대해 다양한 대처 방안들이 제시되고 있지만, 주로 디지털 환경을 고려한 설교 행위와 방법에 관한 대안들이 주를 이루는 것과는 달리, 복음으로 오늘날 청중을 사로잡을 수 있는 설교 내용의 갱신에 관한 대안 제시는 드물다. 이런 맥락에서 이 논문은 그리스도와 복음을 전하는 설교 내용의 갱 신 방향에 주안점은 둔다. 특별히 이 논문은 설교에서 그리스도와 복음 을 강조했던 20세기 중후반의 구속사적 혹은 그리스도 중심적 설교에 관한 이론들의 내용과 한계를 확인한다. 또한 21세기 접어들면서 목회 자들에게 많이 주목받고 있는 Timothy Keller의 그리스도 중심적 복음 설교와 최근 Abraham Kuruvilla의 그리스도 형상적 설교에 관한 이론 들을 평가해 보고자 한다. 이를 통해 이 논문은 그동안 그리스도 중심 적 설교에 관한 이론들의 발전이 가져다주는 설교학적 함의들을 정리 하고, 오늘날 그리스도 중심적 복음 설교를 활성화할 수 있는 이론적 방안을 제시해 보고자 한다. The diagnosis that the Korean church is facing serious crises today is heard from various fields inside and outside the church. Since preaching plays a key role in the Christian faith and the vitality of the church, it is not at all strange that preaching is pointed out as the fundamental cause of the crises in the church. In particular, while the 4th industrial revolution led by digital media and science and technology is causing rapid changes in the pastoral environment, the popularization of non-face-to-face worship and online video sermons due to COVID-19 is accelerating the crisis of contemporary preaching. Various countermeasures have been proposed to deal with this issue, but unlike alternatives to preaching behavior and methods considering the digital environment, there are few alternatives to the renewal of preaching contents that can captivate today’s audience with the gospel. In this context, this study focuses on the directions of renewal of sermon message that preach Christ and the Gospel. To this end, the writher first examines the content and limitations of theories on the Redemptive-Historical Preaching and Christ-centered sermons in the mid to late 20th century. In addition, the writer evaluates Timothy Keller’s Christ-centered gospel sermons, which are receiving a lot of attention from pastors as the 21st century begins and Abraham Kuruvilla’s recent theories about Christ-iconic Preaching. Finally, this study attempts to summarize the homiletical implications of the development of Christ-centered preaching theories, and to suggest a theoretical way to revitalize Christ-centered gospel preaching today.

The cultural characteristics of the fungus Cladosporium phlei were assessed in order to develop an improved method for the production of the fungal pigment, phleichrome, which is an intermediate in the production of a photodynamic therapeutic agent. The growth of C. phlei, as measured by the hyphal growth rate and increase in biomass, varies significantly depending on the culture media utilized (V8 juice-based medium proved optimal for both growth rate and biomass increase). However, even on a V8 juice plate, the growth of C. phlei occurred slowly and in a limited fashion, in that the colony covered only 75% of the agar surface after more than 4 weeks of cultivation at 20℃. Supplementations of glucose, fructose, galactose, and sucrose increased both hyphal expansion and mass production, whereas supplementations of other carbon sources, including glycerol and sorbitol, exerted no detectable effects. The effect of inorganic nitrogen supplementation was negligible, whereas organic nitrogen evidenced significant effects, with enhanced growth with malt extract and growth inhibition with yeast extract and tryptone. Sporulation was enhanced under conditions of continuous light, and a minimum of 103 spores per mL of liquid media was found to be necessary for the optimal mass increase. A simple extraction procedure was established in order to isolate the deep red pigment which was subsequently identified as phleichrome via NMR analysis. When C. phlei was cultured on V8 medium containing 5% glucose and 2% malt extract, the quantity of mycelial mass was estimated as 20.6 g (dry weight) per liter of culture. The expected phleichrome yields from the mycelia and culture filtrates were estimated to be 43 and 2 mg/L, respectively.
Effects of Vertical Alignment of Leg on the Knee Trajectory and Pedal Force during Pedaling

Objective: This study evaluated the vertical and horizontal forces in the frontal plane acting on a pedal due to the vertical alignment of the lower limbs. Method: Seven male subjects (age: 25.3 ± 0.8 years, height: 175.4 ± 4.7 cm, weight: 74.7 ± 14.2 kg, foot size: 262.9 ± 7.6 mm) participated in two 2-minute cycle pedaling tests, with the same load and cadence (60 revolutions per minute) across all subjects. The subject's saddle height was determined by the height when the knee was at 25° flexion when the pedal crank was at the 6 o'clock position (knee angle method). The horizontal force acting on the pedal, vertical force acting on the pedal in the frontal plane, ratio of the two forces, and knee range of motion in the frontal plane were calculated for four pedaling phases (phase 1: 330~30°, phase 2: 30~150°, phase 3: 150~210°, phase 4: 210~330°) and the complete pedaling cycle. Results: The range of motion of the knee in the frontal plane was decreased, and the ratio of vertical force to horizontal force and overall pedal force in the complete cycle were increased after vertical alignment. Conclusion: The ratio of vertical force to horizontal force in the frontal plane may be used as an injury prevention index of the lower limb. It is same such as the provision of shear buckling strength of steel composite box girder web panel and plate girder web panel in Korea Highway Bridge Design Standards(2012). But the web panel of steel composite box girder is different from the web of plate girder in that the upper slab and lower flange are connected to the web. So a different shear behavior of the girders is expected. In this study, To calculate a reasonable elastic shear buckling strength of steel composite box girder web panel, ABAQUS program was used. The results from F.E.A and previous studies are compared.

In this study, we study the behavior of CFT subjected to pure bending moment considering the interface character between the materials. We assume that the interface between the materials has 2 cases, one is full-composite the other is non-composite. Through the analysis of the FEM results, we find that CFT’s flexure behavior is unique compared to other composite structures. There is almost similar CFT’s flexure behavior in the pure moment regardless of interface character between steel and concrete. This is because there is no difference in the neutral axis of the full-composite and non-composite in the CFT scetion.
