Vol.65 No.-

Chuanqi Novel(傳奇小說) Liwazhuan(李娃傳) is a short story by Bai Xing jian(白行簡) in the Tang dynasty. The story involves a tribute student Mousheng(某生), trying to get the affections of Li Wa, a female prostitute in Chang'an. Mousheng spends his money on Li Wa and neglects his studying for the imperial examinations. He lives with Li Wa and spends all of his money, which is ultimately exhausted. After Mousheng can no longer pay the prostitution costs, Li Wa and her madam abandon him. Mousheng begins working at a funeral parlor as a dirge singer and at one point is the winner of a singing competition. His father discovers him while visiting Chang'an and severely beats him, and leaves him for dead. Later Li Wa encounters this young man, who is now a beggar. She helps him recover health, and study for the examinations. Mousheng passed the state examinations over and over. He and his father restore a father-son relationship. Mousheng remains devoted to Li Wa and the two marry. Liwazhuan weaves together the various strands of Li Wa’s life. Feminism is relatively difficult to define, However, if one looks closely enough, Li Wa has an outstanding career as a prostitute, she is enormously rich in prostitution. Most of all, she's got Mousheng in her back pocket and under her thumb. Obviously she has corrupted him, but she coached Mousheng for the state examination, carried him to a successful conclusion. Woman takes the leadership of man, this novel claims to support female consciousness in many respects. So, This paper considered true meaning and values of female consciousness factors in Tang Chuanqi Liwazhuan.

Vol.8 No.-

Vol.45 No.1

Forensic gait analysis is the identification of individuals by their gait style and walking characteristics. This study aimed to examine the prevalence of gait patterns in healthy adolescents and adults. Five hundred healthy participants (mean age, 36.9 years) were enrolled and divided into four age groups: 13-20, 21-35, 36-50, and ≥51 years. The gait of the participants was recorded in a gait analysis laboratory. Five specialists experienced in gait analysis selected several gait features. The prevalence of out-toe, in-toe, planovalgus, and turtleneck was 25.0%, 1.6%, 6.8%, and 4.2%, respectively. The prevalence of genu varum (10.4%) was higher than that of genu valgum (5.6%). Genu valgum and hindfoot valgus were more common in younger than in older subjects (P=0.018 and P=0.029, respectively). Genu varum was more prevalent in older subjects (P<0.001). The prevalence of out-toe was higher in males (P<0.001), whereas the in-toe and genu valgum were more common in females than in males (P=0.027 and P=0.038, respectively). We have documented the prevalence of several gait features in healthy adolescents and adults. These gait features can be used to enhance evidentiary competence in forensic gait analysis and thereby help improve the arrest rate of offenders.

Vol.0 No.85

In Chinese literature, Tang Chuanqi(唐傳奇) was a form of short story in the classical language which developed in the Tang dynasty. A hero is a main character of a literary work who, in the face of danger, combats adversity through feats of ingenuity, bravery or strength, often sacrificing their own personal concerns for a greater good. No one can deny the recognition of respect for men and discrimination against women contained in the Tang dynasty. Women were often not individualized, but praised as a group for heroic deeds. People say that women can not do this job, of course there are some exceptions. Anyway, the cultural repertoire of heroic stories requires different qualities for each gender. Tang Chuanqi’s writers took to finding their own problems, naturally leading to a connection with modified subject. They shall be called ‘Heroine Novels’. Heroine novels of Tang Chuanqi can be categorized according to the female features of realizing heroines into the four types. This paper considered true meaning and values of heroine novels in Tang Chuanqi.

Vol.1 No.30

A Study on Chinese myth and Genesis--focus on 'Nüwa, Yehehua, Noah' Kim, Nak-Cheol In Chinese myth, Nüwa(女媧) is the creation deity and the heaven-repairing heroine. It was said that there was no creature in the world at the beginning of the genesis. Pangu(盤古) created the world. Soon after that, there was collapse of the northwest sky followed by gales, heavy rain, snow and hail, and the world was suffering from flood. Seeing this, Nüwa began to repair the sky with stones of five colors and then adjusted the four sky poles in places. and then she made humans with clay. In the Bible, God, seeing the wickedness of man, is grieved by his creation and resolves to send a great flood. He sees that Noah is a man 'righteous in his generation', and gives him detailed instructions for the Ark. When the animals are safe on board God sends the Flood, which rises until all the mountains are covered and all life is destroyed. At the height of the flood the Ark rests on the mountains, the waters abate, and the dry land reappears, Noah, his family, and the animals leave the Ark, and the God vows to never again send a flood to destroy the Earth. Thus, The flood myths are also popular in the world. So some people say that Nüwa is Yehehua(Jehovah), Yehehua is Noah. Further more, they assist that Bible is an echo of myths. So, this article intends to prove the origin of ‘Nüwa, Yehehua, Noah'.
