In electric motor coaches, the rolling stocks move by the adhesive effort between rail and driving wheel. Generally, the adhesive effort is defined by the function of both the weight of electric motor coach and the adhesive effort between rails and driving wheel. The characteristics of adhesive effort is strongly affected by the conditions between rails and driving wheel. When the adhesive effort decreases suddenly, the electric motor coach has slip phenomena. This paper proposes a re-adhesion control algorithm which uses the maximum adhesive effort by instantaneous estimation of adhesion force using load torque disturbance observer. Based on this estimated adhesive effort, the re-adhesion control is performed to obtain the maximum transfer of the tractive effort.

최근 철도 차량의 대부분은 인버터 제어에 의한 유도전동기를 채택하여, 많은 사용상의 이점을 내고 있다. 하지만 이 인버터 제어는 장치의 소형 경량화, 저비용화의 관점에서, 1대의 인버터로 복수의 유도 전동기를 구동하는 방식이 주류이다. 최근, 고성능화로 영구자석을 사용한 동기전동기는 산업용, 전기 자동차용과 모든 분야에서 주목을 받아, 소형 · 경량 · 고효율”의 특징을 살려서 유도전동기를 대신하여 고성능 모터의 주역이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 철도 차량용 주전동기로 이 영구자석 직접구동전동기를 개발하여 기존 유도 전동기와 비교하여 성능을 평가 하였다. 실험을 통해 영구자석 직접구동전동기는 기존 유도전동기에 비해 고 효율화, 유지보수성 향상 등의 효과가 있음을 알 수 있다.

In the braking process of rolling stocks, the equivalent braking force is applied to the all bogies. However, the load applied to the front and rear bogie are different in the actual commercial traveling. In the case, since the different slip situation is occurred in each bogie, it is essential to use the independent anti-slip control per bogie unit in order to reduce the loss of braking force. In this paper, the algorithm about bogie unit braking is proposed and verified.

Due to the demand for high-output motors in the limited space between the wheels in an electric train, self-ventilating traction motors have been used for many years. periodical disassembly maintenance is necessary to remove the small Quantities of dust that enter the motor from the open-air ventilation. Reducing this burden, as well as increasing efficiency and reducing noise, would benefit the next generation of motors To address these needs, KRRI is developing a fully enclosed type traction motor, a fully enclosed type traction motor with outer fans, a high-efficiency permanent-magnet synchronous motor and a direct-drive motor(DDM)as traction motors for the next generation of trams.

It is one of the most effective methods for improving the performance of electric railway vehicles to make better the wheel-rail adhesion characteristics. To study adhesion characteristic is to develop the equivalent reduction machine to experiment on the adhesion system. The experiment system makes it possible to change the wheel-rail adhesion force with various adhesion parameters, and therewith to test the adhesion control system with the reduction machine in a laboratory. In this paper, for improving adhesion performance shows actually control methods.

In this paper, we studies VVVF inverter for 1C4M propulsion system of urban rail traction. This inverter is consisted of inverter stack, DB unit, and control unit. To prove performance of inverter carry out main track test. From test for VVVF inverter verifies excellent performance.
