The purpose of this paper is to analyze and develop stage costumes that are used in Operas, and to provide general data on costumes based on Goguryeo dynasty times for further development in stage outfits. The historical background, characters, and costumes used in each act were analyzed using video material, photographs of the performance, pamphlets, costume supervisor interview. After script analysis, I came to a conclusion that Damdeok should be wearing daily clothes rather than armor in chapters 2 and 3 of act 2. Daju should wear regular military clothes rather than an outfit worn by general officers in chapter 1 and 2 in act 3. Wicheol should appear with ordinary clothes on rather than armor because he is a head of a family 'Indongmun' appearing in 'Jinpiri 1hobun' was used to emphasize womanly beauty of Daju, 'Samjogoh' appearing in the 'Pyongnam Jinpiri 7hobun gilt bronze hat ornament was used for Damduk, corresponding to the scenario, and the saw pattern on the ceiling of 'Anak 1hobun' was used to emphasize the sharp image of Wichul. Considering the active movement of the characters, costumes were designed so that they would not become unkempt and maintain their shape. A special inner lining was used to preserve the shape of the collar, gusset, and trimming in the costume. Also, a Suspender belt was used to decrease the pressure given to the abdomen.

The pattern of choice among respondents appeared to be InMyunMunWonWaDang. They preferred HanBok design to be the combination of traditional patterns and typical HanBok design. They considered practical utility, design, and comfortableness as factors that they pay attention to when purchasing HanBok. The survey results of household items found that respondents purpose of purchase was for souvenir and gift. They suggested the increased number of item models and representation of locality for market success of household items. They wished to apply geometric patterns for household item design. The color preference for household items included colorless transparent-tone, followed by pastel-tone and blue-tone. They preferred such household items as dolls for decoration, bags, wallets, and sofa/chair pillows. Based on the survey results, we designed and created products of HanBok and household items. We transformed patterns of PoRyuSuGeumMun and BoSangWhaMun for daily outfits (HanBok) and KyiMyunMun and InMyonMunWonWaDang for household items.

This research is aimed at presenting the fundamental information for designing functional patterns through grasping the characteristics of each figure. In order to do this, direct measurement was conducted for the object of 110 male high school students who are 19 years old and live in Daegu. Then all the information about their figure was indicated with numbers, and figures were derived from them.
The consequence of this research is as follows.
Figures were divided into 4 distinctive types on the basis of analysis of the crowd. The type 1, which is of small stature and small weight, is 33%. The type 2, which is of small stature and large body with no difference in breast circumference, waist circumference and hip circumference, is 17.5%. The type 3, which is of great stature and small weight, is 45.6%. The type 4, which is overweight with small stature and large body, is 3.9%.
