중적외선 광원 기술동향

중적외선 파장 영역대는 환경, 산업, 안전, 군수, 의료 등 다양한 분야에 걸쳐 넓은 응용성을 가지고 있다. 하지만, 중적외선 영역대의 광원은 기술개발의 어려움으로 인해 관련 산업이 크게 발달하지 못한 측면이 있다. 최근 들어 광원기술의 급속한 발전은 새로운 산업군 형성에 대한 기대를 증폭시키고 있다. 특히 중적외선 광원 중 가장 비약적인 발전을 이루고 있는 중적외선 QCL(Quantum Cascade Laser)은 미국의 Bell 연구소에서 1994년 처음으로 레이저 펄스 발진을 시현한 이후, 현재는 100mW 정도의 높은 광 세기를 갖는 소자가 제작되어 발표된 바 있고, 상온 연속 발진으로 20%의 WPE(Wall Plug Efficiency)를 갖는 소자가 제작되었다는 보고 또한 이루어지기도 하였다. 본고에서는 이처럼 급속하게 진행되고 있는 중적외선 레이저를 포함한 중적외선 광원의 기술동향과 아울러 태동하고 있는 중적외선 광원의 시장동향과 향후 전망에 대해 기술한다.

The Role of Similarity in the Metaphor and Simile Preference

The purpose of this article is to examine the role of similarity in the metaphor and simile preference and offer empirical evidence against the equivalence view of simile and metaphor. This evidence was obtained from two experiments to examine the correlation between the similarity ratings and the preference ratings. The results suggest that Korean people choose the metaphor form when the similarity of a target and a source increases, whereas they choose the simile form when the similarity of a target and a source decreases. The results from these experiments are consistent with Chiappe and Kennedy's (1999, 2001) findings. Moreover, the experiments found that Korean people were more likely to express particular comparisons as similes over metaphors than American people.

Distributed Coordination of Project Schedule Changes: An Agent-Based Compensatory Negotiation Approach

최근 건설 프로젝트가 대형화 및 복잡화됨에 따라 다수의 하도급업체들이 참여하는 형태로 진행되고 있다. 특히 하도급업체들이 자체 자원을 운용하여 공사를 수행함에 따라, 기존의 원 도급업체가 주도하는 중앙집중식 조정방식은 실효성이 저하되고 있다. 하도급업체의 자원수급이 건설공사의 공정과 일치하지 않을 경우 해당업체의 공사가 지연될 뿐만 아니라, 다른 하도급업체의 공사들과 더 나아가 건설공사의 지연을 초래한다. 이에 따라, 관련 하도급 업체들이 해당공사에 공정변경이 생길 경우에 이에 맞추어 건설공사공정을 조정하는 새로운 건설공사공정변경의 분산조정에 관한 연구가 필요하다. 연구자는 건설공사 공정변경의 분산조정방식 및 이를 위한 소프트웨어 에이전트를 이용한 보상협의방법을 정의하였다. 본 연구는, (1) 타이밍 유틸리티의 새로운 정의, (2) 공정계획에 근거한 소프트웨어 에이전트간 중첩 협의를 위한 새로운 프로토콜, 그리고 (3) CPM (Critical Path Method) 에 근거한 소프트웨어 에이전트간 새로운 메시지 처리 알고리즘을 제시한다 위와 같은 연구결과를 검증하기 위해, 연구자는 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 랭귀지인 자바$(^{TM})$를 이용하여 다중 소프트웨어 에이전트 시스템의 프로토타입을 개발하여, 중앙집중식 조정방식과 비교하고, 실제 사용자를 대상으로 테스트를 수행하고, 시스템 성능검사를 마침으로서 공정변경 분산조정방식을 검증하였다. 이로서 본 연구는 현재의 건설공사 주체인 하도급업체의 자원수급의 효율성을 향상시키는데 필요한 방법을 정의하고, 구현하고, 검증함으로서 하도급업체의 이윤추구 및 건설공사의 성공적인 수행을 함께 달성할 수 있도록 한다. In the construction industry, projects are becoming increasingly large and complex, involving multiple subcontractors. Traditional centralized coordination techniques used by the general contractors become less effective as subcontractors perform most wok and provide their own resources. When subcontractors cannot provide enough resources, they hinder their own performance as well as that of other subconractors and ultimately the entire project Thus, construction projects need a new distributed coordination approach wherein all of the concerned subcontractors can reschedule a project dynamically. To enable the distributed coordination framework of project schedule changes, the author developed an agent-based compensatory negotiation methodology, which allows intelligent software agents to simulate negotiations on behalf of their human subcontractors. In addition to this theoretical work, 1 designed and implemented a prototype to demonstrate the effectiveness of the framework. Thus, this research formalizes the necessary steps that would help construction project participants to increase the efficiency of their resource use, which in turn will enhance successful completions of whole projects.

연안어업의 어업피해율 추정 및 어업처분결정 모형 연구

The study tries to extend the Kang and Kim`s model(1997) for evaluating fisheries damages caused by a large scale coastal reclamation. The paper tries to suggest a more generalized model by adopting new applicable variables such as the decreasing rate of production quantity amount and decreasing numbers of variables for simplification and derivation of quantative results. The paper also tries to suggest the decision model for fisheries administrative measures on the basis of the degree of damages.

월슨병 환아에서 D-penicillamine 사용 중 조기 발병한 미세변화형 신증후군 1례

월슨병은 구리 대사 이상으로 간, 뇌, 각막, 신 및 건혈구에 구리가 침착되어 생기는 상염색체 열성 유전성 질환이다. D-penicillamine이 주된 치료로서 10% 정도의 환자에서 가역적인 부작용이 발생 할 수 있다 저자는 3세된 여아에서 D-penicillamine치료 3주만에 미세변화형 신증후군이 발생하였고 투약 중단만으로 완전 관해된 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Wilson's disease is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by degenerative changes in the brain, liver, and cornea. Treatment includes D-penicillamine, trientine, and zinc sulfate. D-penicillamine has been used frequently as first line therapy for Wilson's disease. However, nephrotoxicity can occur after D-penlcillamlne treatment. Among them membranous glomerulopathy is the most common histological abnormality but minimal change lesions have also been reported. Nephrotic syndrome is a late complication of D-penicillamine treatment but very rarely can occur within 2 months after treatment of D-penicillamine. We report the early development of minimal change nephrotic syn,frome in a 3-year-old'girl with Wilson's disease 3 weeks after initiation of D-penicillamine.

저자장 자기공명영상 시스템 내에서 초상자성 나노입자 온열치료를 위한 발열 평가

For the combination of MRI and magnetic particle hyperthermia(MPH), we investigated the relative heating efficiency with respect to the strength of the static magnetic field under which the magnetic nanoparticles are to be heated by RF magnetic field. We performed nanoparticle heating experiments at the fringe field of 3T MRI magnet with applying the RF magnetic field perpendicularly to the static magnetic field. The static field strengths were 0T, 0.1T, 0.2T, and 0.3T. To prevent the coil heat from conducting to the nanoparticle suspension, we cooled the heating solenoid coil with temperature-controlled water with applying heat insulators between the solenoid coil and the nanoparticle container. We observed significant decrease of heat generation, up to 6% at 0.3T(100% at 0T), due to the magnetic saturation of the nanoparticles of 15 nm diameter under the static field. We think MPH is still feasible at low magnetic field lower than 0.3T if stronger RF magnetic field generation is permitted.

MOCVD에 의한 Al 박막 증착 중의 표면 반사도 측정을 통한 박막 성장 메커니즘 분석

Al thin films were deposited on TiN/Si(100) via metal-organic chemical vapor deposition using N-methylpyrrolidine alane as a precursor. Characterization of the deposited films were investigated with SEM, XRD, ${\alpha}$-step, AFM, 4-point probe. The early stage of Al thin film deposition was analyzed by in-situ surface reflectance measurement with laser and photometer apparatus. The surface reflectance were changed greatly during the initial 30~40 seconds. There were two increases and two decreases in the surface reflectance, thus the sequence of Al films were deposited at 8 significant points of the surface reflectance change. Surface topograph and cross-sectional view of each film were analyzed with SEM. Al films were grown in the complex mechanism of Volmer-Weber and Stranski-Krastanov process.
