        발달 중인 생쥐 뇌에서의 Osteopontin 발현

        This study was undertaken to examine the developmental expression of osteopontin(OPN) in the mouse brain. In Western blotting analysis, the expression of OPN was noted initially at embryonic stage and increased gradually after birth and decreased at postnatal day 60(P60). In immunohistochemistry, OPN expression was found in the interstitial nucleus Cajal and the substantia nigra reticularis in anterior part of the brain and in the inferior olivary complex, the parabrachial nucleus, the facial nucleus, the gigantocellular reticular nucleus, the trigeminal nucleus and the anterior interposed nucleus in posterior part of the brain at P31 and P60. In addition, OPN expression in widespread neurons appeared during the period of neuronal differentiation, increased just after birth and decreased with maturation. These results suggest that OPN contributes to developmental processes, including the differentiation and maturation of specific neuronal populations.

        한반도 연안 해역에서 해저 지하수 유출의 환경 생태학적 중요성

        전통적으로 육지로부터 해양으로의 물질 수송은 눈에 보이는 강을 통해서 이루어 진다고 생각했었다. 하지만, 해저 열수 및 대기를 통한 물질 유입도 상당한 부분을 차지한다는 것이 지난 수십 년 동안 밝혀졌다. 최근에는 해저를 통한 지하수 유출이 물질 수송에 있어 강물 못지 않는 중요한 역할을 한다는 것이 밝혀지고 있다. 특히, 한반도 주변에서의 연구 결과, 해저 지하수 유출이 다른 지역에 비해 더 중요한 해양학적 역할을 한다는 것이 밝혀졌으며, 그 몇 가지 예는 다음과 같다. 남해의 여러 내만 해역에서는 연안의 오염된 지하수가 유출되면서, 과잉의 영양염류가 공급되어 적조 등의 생태계 변화에 큰 영향을 미친다. 암석의 공극률이 큰 제주도에서는 해저 지하수의 흐름이 전세계적으로 아주 높은 범주에 속해, 지하수의 오염이 적어도 연안 생태계 및 부영양화에 결정적 역할을 한다. 황해에서는 전 해양으로 유출되는 지하수 및 지하수에 의한 영양염류 유출량이 황해로 흐르는 양자강 등의 큰 강 못지않게 중요한 역할을 한다. 동해는 해양 퇴적물의 투수성이 높고 단층대가 발달해 있어, 여름철 지하수 유출량이 일반 대륙연안에 비해 아주 크다. 한편, 하구둑이 건설되어 있는 낙동강 하구역에서 댐 안쪽 담수와 바깥쪽 해수 사이의 수위차에 의해, 강물의 방류량이 적고 댐의 수위가 높은 경우 해저 지하수의 유출이 훨씬 더 높게 나타났다. 여태까지 밝혀진 자료를 토대로 볼 때, 해저 지하수 유출은 한반도 주변에서 육상 오염물질을 해양으로 수송하는 가장 중요한 통로 중의 하나이며, 갯벌 생태계, 적조, 산호 생태계, 및 연안 오염에 결정적으로 영향을 미칠 것으로 판단된다. 따라서, 해저 지하수 유출을 고려한 연안 오염 부하량 측정, 샨사댐의 영향 예측, 적조 및 부영양화 원인 규명 등의 연안 환경 정책 수립이 시급하다. Recognition has emerged that nutrient inputs from the submarine discharge of fresh, brackish, and marine groundwaters into the coastal ocean are comparable to the inputs via river discharge. The coastal areas of the Korea peninsula and adjacent seas exhibit particular importance in the role of submarine groundwater discharge (SGD), in terms of the magnitude of SGD and associated continental material fluxes. For example, in the southern sea of Korea, SGD transports excess nutrients into the coastal regions and thus appears to influence ecosystem changes such as the outbreak of red tides. Around volcanic island, Jeju, which is composed of high permeability rocks, the amount of SGD is higher by orders of magnitude relative to the eastern coast of North America where extensive SGD studies have been conducted. In particular, nutrient discharge through SGD exerts a significant control on coastal ecosystem changes and results in benthic eutrophication in semi-enclosed Bang-du bay, Jeju. In the entire area of the Yellow Sea, tile submarine discharge of brackish groundwater and associated nutrients are found to rival the river discharges into the Yellow Sea, including those through Yangtze River, Han River, etc. In the eastern coast of the Korea peninsula, SGD is significantly higher during summer than winter due to high hydraulic gradients and due to wide distribution of high permeability sandy zones, faults, and fractures. On the other hand, in the estuarine water, downstream construction of the dam in the Nakdong River, SGD was highest when the river discharge was lowest (but water level of the dam was highest). This suggests that even though there is no visible freshwater discharge into this estuary, the discharge of chemical species is significant through SGD. On the basis of the results obtained from the coastal areas of the Korea peninsula, SGD is considered to be an important pathway of continental contaminants influencing tidal-flat ecosystems, red tides, and coral ecology. Thus, future costal management should pay great attention to the impact of SGD on coastal pollution and eutrophication.

        Feasibility study of multiplexing method using digital signal encoding technique

        Radiation imaging systems consisting of a large number of channels greatly benefit from multiplexing methods to reduce the number of channels with minimizing the system complexity and development cost. In conventional pixelated radiation detector modules, such as anger logic, is used to reduce a large number of channels that transmit signals to a data acquisition system. However, these methods have limitations of electrical noise and distortion at the detector edge. To solve these problems, a multiplexing concept using a digital signal encoding technique based on a time delay method for signals from detectors was developed in this study. The digital encoding multiplexing (DEM) method was developed based on the time-over-threshold (ToT) method to provide more information including the activation time, position, and energy in one-bit line. This is the major advantage of the DEM method as compared with the traditional ToT method providing only energy information. The energy was measured and calibrated by the ToT method. The energy resolution and coincidence time resolution were observed as 16% and 2.4 ns, respectively, with DEM. The position was successfully distributed on each channel. This study demonstrated the feasibility that DEM was useful to reduce the number of detector channels

        스포츠 조정․중재제도의 활용방안 - K 선수 사례 중심으로 -

        An ADR arbitration system has a necessary value in the sports industry for settlement of disputes. Sports disputes should be resolved independently by enacting internal regulations within the basic principles of national law rather than treated as a civil action. If the dispute is not fair and transparent, it may cause distrust. Because an arbitration system has values such as speed, flexibility of economic decisions, professionalism of arbitrator and confidentiality of arbitration-related information, the efficiency of the arbitration system for conflict resolution has emerged recently. We have to assign sports experts to reactivate sports arbitration commission committees which existed from 2006 to 2009 in Korea. Many countries, such as the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, and Japan, which attain advancement of sports and the International Court of Arbitration establish and run their own sports arbitration agencies. However, Korea disbanded its sports arbitration commission committee for political and economic reasons. In 2012, after their disbanding, athlete Kim Yeon-kyoung came into conflict with Heungkuk Life over terms of free agent acquisition and international transfer certification. Finally they were able to settle those political conflicts. However if there had been related laws in Korea, they could have resolved those problems easily without international disputes. Practically, it would have been almost impossible for Kim Yeon-kyoung to win the dispute. But her problem became an issue after the London Olympics, so she could win. Although it is well for her to take an active role on the international stage, it left much to be desired on account of the intervention of political circles in order to resolve the conflict. If the sports arbitration commission committee in Korea had still been active, it could have come to a peaceful settlement domestically. Therefore we have to reestablish a Korean sports arbitration committee centered around experts of sports law. ADR 중재 제도는 분쟁해결에 있어 스포츠 산업에 꼭 필요한 가치를 가진 제도이다. 민사관계로 해결하기 보다는 국가법 질서의 기본원칙을 수용하는 범위 내에서 자체적으로 내부규정을 제정하여 독립적으로 스포츠 분쟁해결을 해야 할 것이다. 분쟁은 공정성, 투명성이 담보되지 않으면 쌍방의 감정과 불신이 생기게 돼있다. 최근 분쟁해결 수단인 중재제도의 효율성이 부각되고 있는데 이는 신속성, 경제성 판정의 융통성 중재인의 전문성 및 중재관련내용의 비밀보장성 등 중재제도의 가치가 있어서일 것이다. 스포츠 중재위원회의 활성화가 되기 위해서는 2006년부터 2009년까지 있었던 한국스포츠 중재위원회를 스포츠전문가 중심으로 설립해야 할 것이다. 이미 국제 중재 재판소를 비롯한 영국, 미국, 케나다, 뉴질랜드, 헝가리, 네덜란드, 폴란드, 독일, 일본 등 스포츠 선진화를 이룬 대부분의 국가를 포함한 많은 나라에서 스포츠 중재기구를 설립하여 운영하고 있다. 그러나 우리나라는 그동안 있었던 한국스포츠 중재위원회를 정치적 경제성논리로 해체 되었다. 해체이후 2012년 K 선수는 자유계약 취득 조건과 국제이적동의서를 놓고 인천 흥국생명과 갈등하게 되었다. 자유계약과 국제이적동의서 발급요청은 정치적으로 해결할 수 있었지만 법적 근거가 있었다면 국제적 분쟁까지 가지 않아도 해결할 수 있었던 일이었다. K 선수 사태가 런던 올림픽이 끝난 직후에 열린 국정감사기간에 불거지지 않았다면 K 선수 측에 유리하게 해결 될 가능성이 거의 없었다. K 선수의 바람대로 국제무대에서 마음껏 활약할 수 있는 것은 반갑지만 그런 결정이 내려지기 까지 정치권의 개입이 있었다는 것이 아쉬움으로 남아 있다. 국내 스포츠 중재위원회가 지속되었다면 국내에서 원만하게 해결할 수 있었을 것이다. 그러므로 스포츠 법 전문가 중심으로 한국스포츠 중재위원회를 독립된 법인으로 다시 설립해야 한다.

        Simulation of Residual Stress and Its Impact on a Poly-Silicon Channel for Three-Dimensional, Stacked, Vertical-NAND Flash Memories

        In this work, we present the results of an investigation of the impact of the stress on a poly-silicon channel induced by the neighboring layers in three-dimensional vertical NAND (3D V-NAND) flash memories. Using 3D process simulations, we confirmed the distributions of the residual stress after each process step in the cross-section of a NAND flash unit cell. To investigate the impact of the stress on the poly-silicon channel, we also studied the residual stress after changing the intrinsic stresses of the oxide-nitride-oxide (ONO) layer and the tungsten layer used as a gate. We found that the amplitude of the residual stress in the applied layer became larger as the intrinsic stress increased. In addition, the intrinsic tensile/compressive stresses in the outer layers affected the residual stresses of the previously deposited layers in an opposite nature of the stresses. The cylindrical poly-silicon channel was influenced by the intrinsic stresses of the oxide layers adjacent to the nitride and the tungsten films, with the intrinsic stress of the tunnel oxide having the greater effect on the residual stress in the channel. Because such stresses affect the electrical properties of the devices, optimized deposition conditions are required to control them. Such conditions would aid in improving the performances of 3D NAND flash memories.

        가시 비행거리 테스트를 통한 비가시비행 안전기준 제언

        Article 310 of the Enforcement Rule of the Aviation Safety Act applies the provision that "an unmanned aerial vehicle operator must operate an unmanned aerial vehicle within the range that can be confirmed with the pilot’s eye" to VLOS flight. However, there is an ambiguity that can cross the boundary between VLOS flight and BVLOS flight without a standard for physical distance. The purpose of this study was to establish physical visible flight distance data through various flight tests and to provide experimental standards for operational procedures for BVLOS flight. In addition, by utilizing fixed-wing and multicopter UAVs, identification data for each observer's eyesight and UAV's altitude were established. And, based on the results, suggestions were made on how to operate an observer for BVLOS flight.
