The National Beauty Design Competition is greatly conducive to developing technology and creativity in beauty artists, and brings about mental, physical and creative skills as well as emotional satisfaction. It is a point of time necessary for motivation through this competition in order to enhance beauty artists’ pride and to make the image of beauty artist respected by society. Also, the creation of this artistry will lead to being previously announced the unified harmony in the whole of beauty industry and the emergence of new trend. Accordingly, the Beauty Design Competition allows beauty artists' skill to be possibly exerted by having themes as new technique, color, theme, design, and originality by beauty artists. The trend, which is newly created through beauty contest, comes to create new style. Amid this change, the Beauty Design Competition for Hair World initiated diverse changes of Hair Fashion. This had great influence upon the whole of beauty and fashion industry. Especially this competition led to the development in beauty tools and implements, and the great contribution to development in beauty industry and cosmetics industry. The biggest performances include the positive change in people's awareness of beauty industry, and in image and stature of beauty artists, and what beauty came to be positioned as artistic field grandly in the middle of the world. The Beauty Design Competition is helpful for promotion of creativity, thereby allowing academic technique to be accelerated, which pursues beauty culture according to globalization as well as the strengthening of competitive edge in practical affairs. Accordingly, this researcher analyzes women’s fashion items out of beauty competition items, thereby making it become guideline for being used as basic data available for acquiring skill and knowledge, and desiring it to become analytical data available for predicting a flow and fashion in the global beauty.

Fundamentally, beauty care is a stimulus of human sensibility. Based on artistry and craftsmanship, it evolves into an industry that encompasses various personal experiences and consumptions combined with esthetic design, impression, experiences and refinement. In timely response to such a change of consumers, it will be required that beauty care personnel try to co-develop and change with one another. It is expected that self-complacent beauty care workers will fail to keep up with and lag behind rapidly changing society and ever-diversified consumer needs in near future. That is why they will have to lead the way in the mastery of their own hair styling skills, the acquisition of relevant expertise, the creation of new fashions and the presentation of personality. In addition, it is important that they will have to take open-minded attitudes and ideas enough to embrace something new all the time. As a part of such efforts, many beauty care skill competitions or championships mean opportunities for beauty care workers to develop themselves. Beauty care championships is significant in a sense that it helps enhance creativity, strengthens competitive edges for practical works, and accelerates academic specialization in pursuit of beauty care culture under the influence of globalization. Thus, this study analyzes trend cutting as one of beauty care competition events in order to provide a guideline as a useful basic material for acquiring skills and knowledge. Hopefully, it is expected that the findings hereof will be useful as a reference material for analysis to estimate the mainstream and fashion of world beauty care.

Accordingly, the Beauty Contest Festival allows beauty artists to possibly display a skill, by which new technique or color, theme, design and originality become theme. The newly-created trend through beauty contest comes to create a new style. Amid this change, the O.M.C Hair World initiated diverse changes in hair fashion. This had great influence upon the whole of beauty and fashion industry. Especially, this contest led to being developed many hair tools and to greatly contributing to development in the hair beauty industry and the cosmetics industry. The biggest performance is what people’s recognition on beauty industry, the image and stature of beauty artist are changing positively and what beauty came to emerge fairly as the art field amid the world. There are several international hair design competitions and many national beauty contests now, centering on the Hair World Championship. Many beauty artists are desired to join with having interest in Beauty Contest, to exert artist’s creativity, and to be conducive to development in the beauty circles. This researcher hopes this study to be helpful even if being a little to the creative work activity in many hair artists, who are performing the work activity. More researches are desired to be progressed by being reinforced enough materials on this in addition to theoretical accumulation on the whole items of Hair World after this.

As beauty is what fundamentally stimulates a person’s sensitivity, it is being expanded into the industry of including all in diverse experiences and consumption, to which aesthetic design, impression, experience, refinement were added in the middle of the origin called artistry and artisanship. In line with this change, even beauticians will require an effort for development and for a change together. Through many Beauty Design Competitions as one of such efforts, the beauticians themselves will need to show the image of developing. The Beauty Design Competition can be said to be a place of displaying beauty artists' talents by having theme as new technique, color, theme, design, or originality by beauty artists. The Hair World Championship, which is the most typical contest, led diverse changes in hair and fashion. And, this had many effects on the whole of beauty & fashion industry. Accordingly, this study analyzes the items for creative style and for hair by night centering on technical items that can exert beauticians’ artistry and high technique among items of Hair World Championship. Thus, the aim is to allow the domestically beauty technique to be sublimed artistically, to be conducive to creative activity,and to be helpful for the development in Korean beauty art.

This research is about The hair style, distinctive feature and variety in Edo Period. The hair style in Edo Period has been adopted for modern life and also has a japanese classical character. The Hair style showed a position and status. In addition, The Ma-Gae (japanese topknot) Showed Their wealth. It had been succeeded from generation to generation without changing a lot. As women's social consciousness was changed, The hair style showed that position, status and wealth was directly connected with not only a social also cultual position of that period. There wasn’a big difference with Action for making beauty, Even the symbolism had been changed a little through periods. This research regards it as consideration of hair style and hair accessory in Edo period. The purpose of this research is to understand the character of hair style and Uniqueness of hair accessory in Edo period.

고전머리 장신구에 관한 연구

Hair accessories positioned adjacently to facial region have been used as an important means for anyone to meet her decorative needs. Over all the history of mankind, hair and adornment have changed significantly in aspect of shape or material for more beautiful and prominent decorations. Thus, the purport of this study was to outline the types, characteristics and historical transition of Korean traditional hair accessories and re-highlight and examine their usage. This study was based on old books like Goryeosa and Saejong Silok, recent studies on Korean traditional hairstyles, prior literatures and papers on historical ornaments, Goryeo dynasty’s wall painting, and books about Korean cultural history. As a result, it was found that symbolism or incantatory nature vested in certain pattern and one's standard for color selection were reflected on her outer appearance and figure. And it was found that the order of living norm (courtesy) was reflected on hairdo and hair accessories that were recognized as esthete values by ancestors. These traditional hair accessories represent Korean formal and elegant dignity based on mental values, and it is important that the traditional mental values should be more spotlighted in our contemporary era to inherit fine esthetic senses of our ancestors even to this generation.

민화 화훼도를 모티브로 한 헤어아트 작품 연구

Folk paintings symbolize the noble spirit, religion, myths, emotions, ideologies, and leisure of life and reveal the world view and aesthetics of our ancestors. Among folk paintings that express cultural tradition, flower paintings are used as a resource for various creative designs as they provide eternal inspiration and wonder of the nature’s beauty. Therefore, I believe studying characteristics of folk flower paintings can be established as a new field of research for visual design. This study aimed to investigate the symbolism and formal characteristics of folk flower paintings based on discussion of literature and incorporate various techniques and methods into hair art, by using disposed hair, thus, improving the artistic value of creative hair art. The research methods included literature such as previous papers, books, publications, and information available on the internet and empirical study. For the empirical study, cut off human hair was used to create four visual artworks by re-interpreting folk flower paintings from the perspective of visual art. This study helped understand the implicit symbolic images of the folk flower paintings and develop creative artistic design by recycling hair and using it for hair art. Also, the artworks created in this study can be used for hair art or other art exhibition in different fields and spread the intrinsic beauty and traditional aesthetics to the rest of the world.

미적 범주에 관한 고찰 - 숭고미를 중심으로 -

The sublime beauty is one of aesthetic categories, which has a long history in western esthetics, and it may be dealt with also in the context of aesthetic senses or art history on the level of its similarity and difference. Thus, a historical approach is needed to the sublime beauty, in line with the aesthetic categories, the eastern and western worlds, and the flows of ancient, modern or contemporary times. In spite of the differences found in aesthetic senses between eastern and western worlds, the aesthetic senses by themselves and the sublime beauty can be considered as the aesthetic category common to human beings. The sublime beauty of ancient philosophy represented the ideal state of classical beauty in the western cultural history, by mediating between the basic motives of Plato's aesthetic ideas and the sublime and the beautiful. In modern philosophy, the thoughts of the sublime revived and approached close to the territory of philosophy. The sublime beauty in contemporary philosophy experiences a downturn and collapse with the beginning of 14th century. The phenomenon is considered to originate, above all, from the lack of metaphysics which characterizes modern mental situations, and from the scientific and technological advancements which have dominated western cultures. The extension of aesthetic categories is called one of most significant achievements made in 18th century. It was the concept of the sublime that played the central role in this respect. The sublime, as a concept against the beautiful, caused the fragmentation and contraction of the concept of the beautiful. But it has eventually produced the extension of the category of aesthetic values, by accommodating to its own category many values left outside the beautiful of traditional standards.

해체적 특성을 지닌 포스트모더니즘의 현대적 헤어스타일 연구

Modern hairstyles are expressed individually without fixed trend, and this is regarded as a phenomenon as deconstructional characteristics of post modernism has begun to affect hair styles. Therefore, this study is conducted to help suggest future trend by analyzing how post modernism with deconstructionism is expressed in modern hair styles. With a focus on the literary study, it investigated the concept and characteristics of post modernism, understood deconstructional characteristics through paintings, architectures, and sculptures, and through the theoretical background it analyzed images that deconstructional characteristics of post modernism are expressed by in modern style. According to the result, men shows deconstructional styles with dichotomous characteristics of obscure distinction between men and women such as big long wave, ponytail style, and short hair with the artificial piece. Women show uncertainty of form &meaning from geometrical styles of short hair as well as epicene deconstructional styles with obscure distinction between men and women.
