자동차 Instrument Panel PSM 성형 개선을 위한 TPO/TPU Power 물성 향상 연구

The PSM (powder Slush Molding) which is applied to the PVC in automobile has environmental problems and molding problems. such as disappearance of embo and occurrance of deep drawing. Because of the problems, TPO/TPU is applied to improve the environment in the advanced company. In nation, the materials are on development. In this study, separating of the size of TPO/TPU, and used compatibilizer is enhanced the interface adhesion to improve the molding and durability. It confirms the best molding condition including the data through TPO/TPU Powder analyzer(Thennal analysis, IR, SEM etc). The first step of the study is a selection of the powder size and the second is the mixing with compatibilizer. Finally, the molding is achieved as PSM in the lab. The mixing which is well achieved by raw material and compatibilizer, the molding condition confirms the improved material properties (heat-resistance, light-resistance etc.).<br/> Even though there are still lots of problems to be solved to develop TPO/TPU Powder, it will make the expansion of applications due to the environmental properties of TPO/TPU.

In the field of automobile interior industry, the coloring and lightening of the instrument panel(I/P) has been focused on for the purposed of value added styling and upgrading. In this application, the powder type electroluminescence(EL) system has a great possibility to be applied in the integrated instrument panel. The EL film is composed of the inorganic phosphor and dielectric layer printed on the top of Indium Tin Oxide(ITO) and Silver paste layer. Thus EL film was made of a printed on silk screen method. Thermoplastic olefins(TPO) sheet was developed to satisfy the applied for EL back lighting system. And I/P skin was developed to satisfy the required mechanical properties and reliability. I/P Polyurethane(PU) foaming was developed to satisfy the applied for EL film. The mechanical and processing properties of materials to satisfy the required of I/P assembly at reliability. In this study, automobile interior was developed the first time applied the EL back lighting system for instrument panel.
폐타이어 분말과 고밀도 플리에틸렌 복합재료의 기계적 물성

For a purpose of recycling of waste tires, composites of 10-60wt% recycled tire crumb blended with high density polyethylene(HDPE) were prepared, and their mechanical properties such as tensile strength, elongation at break, tensile modulus and impact strength were investigated as a function of tire crumb content. Ethylene-acrylic acid(EAA) copolymer was introduced by 10phr as a compatibilizer and the mechanical properties of the composites were measured. For the blend composition of 40wt% tire crumb content showing improved impact strength, the mechanical properties were measured by varying the EAA content of 5-15phr. All blends, whether modified or unmodified, showed a gradual improvement in impact strength as the tire crumb content increased, but the other properties decreased compared with the pure HDPE. In particular, the addition of EAA copolymer to the tire crumb content over 30wt% showed substantial improvement in impact strength. There was no significant effect of tire crumb size on impact strength of the composites.

Thermoplastic foams are materials that are composed of a cellular core structure created by the expansion of a blowing agents of volatile gases or liquids, which can be economically used in insulating, packaging, and automobile industries. It due to the optimized properties of stiffness, strength, and energy absorption. Thermoplastic olefins(TPO) are currently evaluated as a potential replacement of PVC or ABS blends in automotive interior skins such as Door Trim(DT) and Instrument Panel(IP) skins. Some of the advantages of TPO over PVC or ABS skins are improved UV and heat aging, reduced fogging due to absence of plasticizer exudation, and recyclability. In this study, the nucleation and volume expansion behaviors of ethylene-octene copolymer were investigated at when different types of PP with different Melting Index(MI) values were incorporated in the foaming process. The effects of polypropylene and its melt flow characteristics on the cell density, final expansion ratio, and foam morphology were examined.

The ultimate goal of developing body is revealed the "lightweight" at latest EuroCarBody conference 2012 and the most core technology is joining process to make lightweight car body design. Accordingly, in this study, the car body assembly line for the assembly process applies to any introduction, particularly in the assembly of aluminum alloy and composite materials applied by the process for the introductory approached. Process were largely classified by welding (laser, arc, resistance, and friction stir welding), bonding (epoxy bonding) and mechanical fastening (FDS, SPR, Bolting and clinching). Applications for each process issues in the case and the applicable award was presented, based on the absolute strength of the test specimens and joining characteristics for comparative analysis were summarized. Finally, through this paper, we would tried to establish the characteristics of the joint for lightweight structure.
