        디지털 네트워크 분석을 활용한 셉테드(CPTED) 국제 연구 동향 분석

        The concept of CPTED (crime prevention through environment design) focuses on the proactive response of controlling and preventing urban crimes based on the relationship between urban design and crime prevention. There is a lack of studies on CPTED from an international aspect that identifies the trends of different countries as well as research subjects. For this reason, this study aimed to identify the international trends of CPTED research through a digital network analysis. To this end, 110 researches from 2000 to 2020 registered in SCOPUS were used to analyze the current status of countries that published reviews about CPTED. Also, a keyword analysis through digital network analysis was conducted. The research findings about the international trends, in each countries that issued the most literature about CPTED, showed that the research was most actively conducted in South Korea, USA, and United Kingdom. However, the citation score and number of times was relatively lower in South Korea compared to the other top-ranking countries. The keyword analysis result showed that most of the CPTED studies have been conducted with different fields of academics like humanities, sociology, engineering, and design. This research is meaningful in that it provides analysis of international research trends and related research subjects on CPTED using a scientific methods such as Bibliometrics.

        리모델링과 재건축 공동주택의 거주 후 평가(POE) 연구

        The purpose of this study is to compare and evaluate the aspects of remodeled and reconstructed apartment housing units with which usersare satisfied or dissatisfied. Five apartment housing units with an area of 85 m² more or less remodeled between 2007 and 2013 in Seouland five reconstructed apartment housing units also in Seoul with a similar size and reconstruction completion time were selected. Acomparative analysis was conducted of characteristics appearing in unit household floor plans. Post-occupancy evaluation (POE) was conductedon occupants over the age of 19 who had lived in each housing unit for more than a year. The floor-plan analysis revealed that the numberof bays was higher in the reconstructed apartment housing units; the remodeled apartment building having a longer vertical shape, and thereconstructed apartment building had a slightly longer horizontal shape. The area of the private space was larger for the reconstructed housingunits, and the area of the public space was larger for the remodeled housing units. The POE revealed that the overall satisfaction averagewas higher for the reconstructed apartment housing units. As for the eight items pertaining to natural lighting, air quality in general, naturalventilation, temperature in summer, temperature in general, layout and size of personal space, interaction between family members, and overallsatisfaction, satisfaction was relatively high for reconstructed apartment housing units. For the visual privacy item, the satisfaction of theremodeled apartment building was relatively high. There was a significant difference between remodeled housing units and restructuredhousing units, particularly in satisfaction related to natural ventilation and natural lighting. The regression analysis indicated that naturallighting had the most significant influence of any factor on overall satisfaction. These results could improve the remodeling of apartmenthousing in the future. 본 연구의 목적은 노후 공동주택의 재정비 사업으로 진행된 리모델링 공동주택과 재건축 공동주택에서 사용자가 만족·불만족하는 요소를 비교평가하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 2007~2013년 사이 리모델링이 완료된 서울 지역의 전용면적 85㎡ 전후 공동주택 5곳을 선정하고 동일 규모, 재건축 완료 시기가 유사한 서울 지역의 재건축 공동주택 5곳을 선정하여 단위세대 평면계획에서 나타나는 특징을 비교분석하고, 해당 주택에서 1년 이상 거주한 만 19세 이상 거주자를 대상으로 거주 후 평가(POE)를 진행하였다. 평면 분석 결과, 리모델링 공동주택은 세로로 긴 형태, 재건축 공동주택은 가로가 조금 더 긴 형태로 베이 수가 재건축 공동주택에서 더 많이 나타났다. 개인공간의 면적은 재건축에서, 공용공간의 면적은 리모델링에서 더 넓게 나타났다. 거주 후 평가 분석 결과, 리모델링보다 재건축 공동주택에서 많은 항목의 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 세부 항목별로는 ‘자연채광’, ‘전반적인 공기질’, ‘자연환기’, ‘여름철 실내온도’, ‘전반적인 실내온도’, ‘개인공간의 배치 및 면적’, ‘가족 구성원 간의 상호작용’, 그리고 ‘전반적인 만족도’의 8개 항목에서 재건축 공동주택 거주자의 만족도가 통계적으로 유의미한 수준으로 높게 나타났다. 리모델링 공동주택에서는 ‘시각적 프라이버시’ 1개 항목에서 재건축 대비 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 특히 ‘자연채광’, ‘전반적인 공기질’, ‘자연환기’에서 만족도 차이가 컸으며, 회귀분석을 통해 알아본 결과 ‘자연채광’이 ‘전반적인 만족도’에 가장 크게 영향을 미친 요소임을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 추후 리모델링 공동주택 설계시 개선 방안을 모색할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

        범죄로부터 안전한 초등학교 환경디자인에 관한 연구

        그동안 교육시설의 범죄안전성 향상을 위한 연구가 다수 진행되었지만 초등학교를 특정한 연구는 상대적으로 부족했다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 초등학교의 범죄안전환경을 조성하기 위하여 안전환경 계획요인을 제시하는 것이다. 본 연구는 다음과 같은 결론을 내릴 수 있다. 첫째, 초등학생들은 교내실내공간(교육공간, 이동공간, 지원공간, 건물 출입구)보다 교내실외공간(보행 및 활동공간, 사이공간, 쓰레기 처리공간, 주차공간, 교문, 담장)에서 범죄불안감을 더 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사와 학부모는 교내 공간 중에서 ‘지원공간’, ‘사이공간’, ‘건물출입구’, ‘주차공간’순으로 범죄안전 환경계획의 필요성을 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 범죄안전을 위한 초등학교 환경을 구성하기 위해 중요한 환경계획요소는 설비시설을 활용한 안전성 확보가 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 초등학교 교육환경에서 범죄안전성을 향상시키기 위한 환경계획요인은 ‘감시요인’, ‘교내출입통제요인’, ‘지원요인’, ‘가시요인’, ‘실내출입통제요인’, ‘경계요인’으로 나타났다. A considerable number of studies related to environmental design for crime prevention for educational facilities have been carried out. However, many of them are less focused on elementary schools. In this regard, this study aims to present directions in designing safe elementary schools. First, the survey on spaces where elementary school students feel fear of crime shows that they feel on-campus outdoor spaces such as paths, spaces between buildings, and parking areas more unsafe than indoor spaces such as classrooms, activity halls, and corridors. Second, the result of the survey of teachers and parents indicates that they share an idea that toilets, dressing rooms, entrances to the building, and parking areas are the spaces that need to be designed more safely. Third, this study shows that the most important design element is mechanical surveillance. And finally, the result of the factor analysis shows that access control to the campus, access control to the building, and surveillance are the important factors in designing safe elementary schools.

      • 시민의 안전을 증진시키는 스마트시티 사례 분석

        A new paradigm of sustainable urban development, known as Smart City, has emerged through the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to efficiently address urban issues. The ultimate goal of Smart City is enhancing the quality of life for citizens. Among various urban challenges, crime is a critical issue because it directly affects the safety and well-being of individuals. This research aims to examine how efforts to combat crime and create safer cities are being carried out in the context of Smart Cities by analyzing advanced international cases. Barcelona, a European Smart City success story, has become pedestrian-friendly through “Super Blocks.” These enhance traffic safety and provide secure public spaces, contributing to crime prevention. Singapore, Asia’s top Smart City and seventh globally in the 2023 Smart City Index, actively pursues the Smart Nation Program. A notable initiative within it is the “Child-Friendly Bus Stop Project,” creating a secure environment for vulnerable children and adolescents.

      • 가시성이 도서관 자리 선호에 미치는 영향 연구

        Due to increased digital media use in the reading room, it is necessary to rethink the physical layout of libraries in light of new user habits. Therefore, we analyzed space-choice behavior and check in data logs at an academic library rather than subjective self-report surveys, to investigate actual student seat selections through a reservation process. We investigated the number of times a seat was reserved, the number of times a seat was extended, etc. in two different types of reading rooms; a laptop room with study carrels and a regular reading room with study carrels. Also, we conducted VGA(Visibility Graph Analysis) on the two types of reading rooms. We found out that seats with low visibility were highly preferred in a regular reading room and this tendency is less significant in a laptop room.

      • 공동주택 리모델링 및 재건축 사례 연구 - 평면계획 및 환기성능을 중심으로 -

        This study conducted a comparative analysis on floor plans and natural ventilation performance of remodeled and reconstructed apartment housing. The purpose of this study is to provide a reference for further research on remodeled and reconstructed apartment housing. The study areas are three different sized units of remodeled apartment housing and of reconstructed apartment housing, a total of six apartment units. We conducted a comparative analysis on the characteristics that appear in the floor plans between remodeling and reconstruction. The result showed that 1) the remodeled apartment units are extended vertically length-wise and relatively have fewer bays, while the reconstructed apartment units are longer horizontally and have more bays; 2) the reconstructed apartments tend to have more balconies than the remodeled apartments and remodeled apartments tend to have larger common space such as living room, kitchen, and entrance; 3) the depth of the rooms measured using space syntax is deeper at the reconstructed apartments compared to the remodeled apartments; and 4) natural ventilation performance was relatively better at the reconstructed apartment housing.
