In the curving detection method by using an accelerometer the ride comfort in the first car is worse than one in the others due to spend the time to calculate the tilting command and drive the tilting mechanism after entering in the curve. In order to enhance the ride comfort in the first car the preditive curve detection method which predicts the distance from a train to the starting point of curve by using the GPS Tachometer Ground balise and position DB for track. In this study we predicted and evaluated the ride comfort for predictive curve detection method in transient curves according to the shape and dimension of transient curve and the various driving speed. Also we predicted the improvement of the ride comfort for predictive curve detection method by comparing with the result of the ride comfort for predictive curve detection method and for curve detection method using an accelerometer in the short transient curve.

As the evaluation of loading characteristic on tilting mechanism is the most important one of the function test of tilting mechanism the changing characteristic of load must be investigated on tilting of carbody for both the static and running condition of train. In this study we reduced the load of tilting mechanism by adjusting the interface of carbody and bogie such as the weight balance level of underframe height of leveling valve height of axle box and center position of tilting actuator with the characteristic curve of load for optimal condition of the tilting mechanism obtained in the previous study. Furthermore the factor and effect of the interfacial structures respecting the load of tilting mechanism was evaluated by analyzing the changing characteristic of load obtained in the process of adjustment of interfaces. From these data we will propose the maintenance standards for interfacial structures and tilting mechanism in order to minimize the load of tilting mechanism by analyzing in detail the characteristic of load for the main factors of the interfacial structure effecting on the load of tilting mechanism.

This paper presents a framework design of a digital twin system for a vertical smart farm. In this paper, a framework of digital twin systems establishes the three factors: 1) Client 2) IoT gateway, and 3) Server. Especially, IoT gateway has developed using the Eclipse Ditto, which has commonly used to the standard open hardware platform for digital twin. In particular, each factor is communicating with the client, IoT gateway, and server by defining the message sequence such as initialization and data transmission. The proposed design has been tested in a testbed of the lab-scale tomato greenhouse.

The development of tilting train has been required for speed-up on the conventional electric railroad due to the characteristic of Korean railroad with a lot of curve track. The study and development of a tilting system and a tilting bogie which have a different mechanism with high speed train will play a important role for enhancement of technology for Korean railway. The study for tilting pantograph mechanism to decrease the displacement between a catenary and a center of pantograph happened when the carbody is tilted in order to maintain the ride comfort and stability on a curving track is proceeding with the development of tilting train. In this paper, we introduce the design concept for the tilting mechanism of pantograph and the role and characteristics for several devices adopted in the tilting mechanism of pantograph. Through the kinematic analysis of tilting mechanism, we will obtain and calculate the optimal tilting angular velocity and acceleration in order to keep the contact behavior of a pantograph and a catenary according to tilting of a carbody.

For the speed-up test of the first proto-type Tilting Train in Korea, the running safety must be analyzed at every 10㎞/h speed-up with the data obtained through the measurement system in train. In this study, we present the evaluation method and standard used to evaluate the safety of driving, infrastructure and catenary system for the speed-up test of Korea tilting train on both straight and curve tracks. The result of safety evaluation and the data obtained from the measurement and analysis will be used for predicting the running safety for additional speed-up.

In this study, the cross-wind stability of the G7 train and TTX running under the high speed was investigated by using 2-dimensional Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations. It is very important to analysis the aerodynamic characteristic of bluff body located near a ground at the field of the aeronautical, wind engineering, ground vehicle system. To the point of running stability, it is meaningful to analysis the cross-wind effect to the G7 train and TTX developed by domestic technology. The aerodynamic characteristics of the G7 train equipped by bogie-cover is more superior to the case without bogie-cover. Also 2nd model of TTX has stream-shape body has the more good performance than 1st model of TTX.
