As environmental pollution continues, attention on renewable energy is on the constant rise in recent days. Although various kinds of renewable energy such as solar, wind power and biomass energy have been generated in Jeju, opening and analyzing cases on related data seem insufficient. Therefore, this study is being conducted to deduce the variables which have high relation with solar panel&s output and to understand machine learning methods that can be applied to solar power generation data by utilizing Kaggle platform, which is actively used by a number of scientists. Then, it is planned to propose a form of solar power generation dataset by researching machine learning methods that could be applied to the data. To be specific, analyzing solar power generation data with the Kaggle platform, this study will provide complements on gathering solar power data in Jeju. This study is anticipated to be utilized on data analysis for developing the solar power industry in Jeju. That is, this study is expected to reveal the room for improvement inherent in existing open datasets in Jeju, so that they could be constructed in a suitable form for machine learning for AI analytics. Through this process, a method to increase efficiency of solar power generation is anticipated to be prepared.

As new types of travel are created due to the corona pandemic and preferred travel methods are also changing, the importance of research on changes in travel trends before and after the pandemic is increasing. Therefore, this study aims to verify whether the hypothesis that ‘after the pandemic recovery, the preference for Jeju travel will increase and the number of tourists will increase’ is correct through analysis of social data. By verifying these hypotheses, it is possible to identify changes in their travel preferences and tastes along with changes in travel destinations before and after the pandemic. As a result, practical suggestions such as marketing and policy direction for Jeju Islands tourism industry can be provided.
New Wearable Exoskeleton for Gait Rehabilitation Assistance Integrated with Mobility System
2016 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.17 No.7
Gait and mobility in patients with gait impairment are important in maintaining and improving their physical and psychological health and to return to society. Thus, the aims of the current study were to develop and evaluate a new wearable exoskeleton for gait rehabilitation assistance integrated with a mobility system (RehabWheel) for patients with gait impairment. A wearable exoskeleton was controlled by artificial pneumatic muscles to mimic joint movement; appropriate gait training was then undertaken. In total, 13 healthy males participated in evaluating RehabWheel by comparing joint angle kinematics and muscle activation patterns during walking over ground with RehabWheel and normal gaits. The joint angle kinematics of the hip and knee joints with RehabWheel were similar to those of normal gait despite differences in their magnitude. Additionally, muscle activations in the hip and knee joints were less during RehabWheel gait than normal gait and were associated with joint kinematics. These findings indicate that RehabWheel may have potential for incorporation into gait rehabilitative training assistance combined with a wheelchair platform for movement. This study is valuable for the initial identification of the practical feasibility of this new mobility system with both mobility and gait rehabilitation functions.
