We propose a novel monitoring system for a recycling piggery slurry treatment system through neural networks. Here we tried to model treatment process for each tank(influent, fermentation, aeration, first sedimentation and fourth sedimentation tanks) in the system based on population densities of heterotrophic and lactic acid bacteria. Principle component analysis(PCA) was first applied to identify a relation between input(microbial densities and parameters for the treatment) and output, and then multilayer neural networks were employed to model the treatment process for each tank. PCA filtration of input data as microbial densities was found to facilitate the modeling procedure for the system monitoring even with a relatively lower number of input. Neural networks independently trained for each treatment tank and their subsequent combinatorial data analysis allowed a successful prediction of the treatment system for at least two days.

Experimental studies were done to research the clinical effects of Biahwan and Sutodan on the Anti-allergic Effect in Rats and Mice. The results were summerized as follows; 1. In the 48hours homologous passive cutaneous anaphylaxis in rats provoked by the IgE-like antibody against egg white albumin, Biahwan and Sutodan revealed significant effects. 2. In the effects of Biahwan and Sutodan on vascular permeability responses to intradermal histamine and serotonin in rats, Biahwan revealed significant effect, but Sutodan revealed none significant effect. 3. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to Picryl Chloride in mice, Biahwan and Sutodan revealed none significant effects. 4. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to SRBC (Sheep Red Blood Cell) in mice, Biahwan and Sutodan revealed significant effects.

This study analyzed the effect of the coordination system of local public finance on the operation of local public finance by utilizing a pooled regression analysis (TSCSREG: time series cross section regression analysis) using data collected during a 7-year period(1996-2002). To accomplish the objective, the figures for the variables of the coordination system of local public finance--Local Allocation Tax, Local Transfer Fund, National Subsidy and for the four variables on the aspects of self-reliance and soundness among different operational types of local public finance--the ratio of non-earmarked fund source, the ratio of own revenues, the ratio of investment, the ratio of systematic operation of local public finance were collected and analyzed. The results of the new analyses are as follows: (1) The ratio of non-earmarked financial source is likely affected negatively by the Local Allocation Tax of the coordination system of local public finance, while the Local Transfer Fund and the National Subsidy seem to have a positive effect; (2) In terms of the effect of the coordination system of local public finance on the ratio of own revenues, the results showed that the Local Allocation Tax and the National Subsidy affected negatively, whereas the Local Transfer Fund had a positive effect; (3) The effect of the coordination system of local public finance on the investment ratio of local public finance showed that the Local Allocation Tax, the Local Transfer Fund, and the National Subsidy all had positive effects; (4) Its effect on the ratio of systematic operation of local public finance indicated a positive sign with the Local Transfer Fund, a negative sign with the Local Allocation Tax and the National Subsidy.

본 연구의 목적은 다이아지논(Diazinon; O, O-diethyl O-[6-methyl-2 (1-methylethyl)-4-pyrimidinyl] phosphorothioate)에 노출된 모델 생물체(송사리)의 행동변화와 관련된 분자생물학적 기전 규명을 통하여 비정상적 행동의 모니터링을 위한 생물지표(biomarker)를 개발하는데 있다. 이를 위해 우선 suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) 및 DNA microarray 기법을 활용하여 다양한 유전자를 스크리닝하였다. 다이아지논에 노출시킨 송사리에서 발현의 차이가 나는 상향 조절된 유전자 97개 (알려지지 않은 유전자 27개 포함)와 하향 조절된 유전자 99개 (알려지지 않은 유전자 60개 포함)를 동정 하였고 이들 중 이상행동과 관련되는 것으로 보이는 유전자 10개 (상향조절 5개, 하향조절 5개)를 선발하였다. 이들 중에서 primer 제작이 잘된 beta-1, Orla C3-1, parvalbumin 및 apolipoprotein E을 선발하여 그 유전자 발현을 real-time PCR 기법을 사용하여 정량적으로 모니터링 하였다. Orla C3-1, parvalbumin 및 apolipoprotein E는 고농도의 다이아지논 처리 (1000 ppb; 24 h)에서 그 발현이 억제됨이 관찰되었다. 다이아지논 처리 시 신경질환 (알츠하이머 병 및 다운 신드롬)에 관련된 apolipoprotein E와 근육세포의 유연화에 작용하는 parvalbumin 등의 발현억제는 송사리의 인지능력 교란 및 근육세포의 경직 등을 각각 유도하여 송사리의 비정상적 행동을 야기하는 것으로 판단되었다. 따라서 이들 생물지표는 신경독성물질에 의한 송사리 및 기타 어류의 이상행동의 변화의 감지에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Arisaema thunbergii supsp. geomundoense, a new taxon in Arisaema sect. Tortuosa subsect. Flagellarisaema (Araceae), from Isl. Geomun-do, Dadohae National Park, Korea is described. It is distinct from subsp. thunbergii in having bright purple enlargement at the base of spadix appendage, and in having wrinkled enlargement at the base of spadix appendage from subsp. urashima. 다도해해상국립공원에 속한 거문도에서 천남성속, 두루미천남성절, 무늬천남성아절에 해당되는 1 신아종인 거문천남성(Arisaema thunbergii subsp. geomundoense S.C. Ko)을 기재 및 도해하였다, 화수부속체 기부의 비후부의 색깔이 진한 자색 또는 적자색인 것이 기본종인 무늬천남성(A. thunbergii supsp. thunbergii)과 다르고, 비후부에 주름이 있는 것이 일본에 자생하고 있는 비후부가 평활한 A. thunbergii supsp. urashima)와 다르다.

Objectives : We investigated whether bee venom(BV) inhibit cell growth through enhancement of death receptor expressions in the human cervix cancer C33A cells. Methods : BV(1~5 ㎍/㎖) inhibited the growth of cervix cancer C33A cells by the induction of apoptotic cell death in a dose dependent manner. Results : Consistent with apoptotic cell death, expression of Fas, death receptor(DR) 3, 4, 5 and 6 was increased concentration dependently in the cells. Moreover, Fas, DR3 and DR6 revealed more sensitivity to BV. Thus, We reconfirmed whether they actually play a critical role in anti-proliferation of cervix cancer C33A cells. Consecutively, expression of DR downstream pro-apoptotic proteins including caspase-8, -3, -9 was upregulated and Bax was concomitantly overwhelmed the expression of Bcl-2. NF-κB were also inhibited by treatment with BV in C33A cells. Conclusions : These results suggest that BV could exert anti-tumor effect through induction of apoptotic cell death in human cervix cancer C33A cells via enhancement of death receptor expression, and that BV could be a promising agent for preventing and treating cervix cancer.

경상남도 밀양시의 천황산 지역에 자생하는 관속식물상 조사를 위하여 2009년 3월부터 2011년 9월까지 총 16회에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 그 결과, 천황산 지역의 관속식물은 90과 252속 387종 3아종 43변종 9품종의 총 442분류군이 조사되었다. 이 중 14분류군은 한국특산식물이었고, 11분류군은 희귀 및 멸종위기식물이었다. 식물구계학적특정종은 5등급 2분류군, 4등급 5분류군, 3등급 15분류군, 2등급 16분류군 그리고 1등급 21분류군 등 59분류군이 발견되었다. 귀화식물은 21분류군이었다. 또한, 조사된 식물들을 용도별로 구분하면 식용식물 163분류군, 섬유용식물 6분류군, 약용식물 125분류군, 관상용식물 76분류군, 목초용식물 163분류군, 공업용식물 4분류군, 염료용식물 9분류군, 목재용식물 21분류군 등이 자원식물로 나타났다. The flora of vascular plants in the Mt. Cheonhwang, located at Miryang-si, Gyeongsangnam-do Province, was surveyed 16 times from March, 2009 to September, 2011. The result of this survey revealed 442 taxa in total, comprising 90 families, 252 genera, 387 species, 3 subspecies, 43 varieties, and 9 forms. Among the flora of this area, 14 taxa were plants endemic to Korea and 11 taxa were rare and endangered plants of Korea. The floristic regional indicator plants found in this area were 59 taxa: 2 taxa of grade V, 5 taxa of grade IV, 15 taxa of grade III, 16 taxa of grade II and 21 taxa of grade I. Alien plants in Korea numbered 21 taxa. In addition, 442 taxa were categorized by usage into 8 groups, as follows: 163 edible, 6 fiber, 125 medical, 76 ornamental, 163 pasturing, 4 industrial, 9 dyeing and 21 timber plants.
