In this paper, control algorithms of electric power steering (EPS) system is investigated to improve vehicle lateral stability. EPS system has been growing rapidly and then enables to apply variable additional functions as well as steering torque assist – basic EPS function. Commonly used lateral stability control method is based on brake control. Integrated chassis control system between EPS and ESC (brake control) is well known system for lateral stability control. The proposed control algorithms is dependent on only EPS system. The control algorithm enables to help and a driver control more safely by adjusting driver steering torque. The control algorithms consist of two parts. The one is vehicle state detection algorithm and the other is to generate additional EPS output torque to adjust driver steering torque. The proposed algorithms are expected to improve lateral stability of small car without active brake control system and can be also helpful trailer hitched vehicle by preventing more severe handling by a driver. The test results showed that driver steering torque is adjusted appropriately in severe situations and a driver controls a vehicle more safely by the proposed algorithms.

현대 사회에서 외모가 자신을 표현하는 중요한 가치로 부상함에 따라 날씬함이 아름다움의 상징으로 여겨지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 여대생들의 신체상, 외모관련 사회문화적 태도, 비만 스트레스와 다이어트 행동이 체중감량 제품 복용에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 시도되었다. 자료수집은 2017년 6월과 7월에 온라인 설문조사 프로그램을 이용하여 220명의 여대생을 대상으로 신체상, 외모관련 사회문화적 태도, 비만 스트레스와 다이어트 행동에 대해 조사하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS WIN 프로그램을 이용하여 χ<SUP>2</SUP>–test, 피어슨 상관관계 분석, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 이용하였다. 연구결과, 체중감량 제품의 복용군과 비복용군 사이에는 신체상, 외모관련 사회문화적 태도, 비만스트레스와 다이어트 행동에 유의한 차이가 있었으며, 모든 변수는 서로 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 체중감량 제품 복용에 영향을 미치는 요인은 외모관련 사회문화적 태도(OR=1.15, CI=1.03∼1.29), 비만 스트레스(OR=1.13, CI=1.06∼1.20), 다이어트 행동(OR=1.21, CI=1.10∼1.33)과 체중감량 제품에 대한 부작용 지식(OR=3.86, CI=1.62∼9.20)으로 나타났다. 따라서 여대생을 대상으로 건강한 체중에 대한 올바른 지식과 체중감량 제품 복용이 필요한 경우, 제품의 성분, 부작용에 대한 적절한 정보전달이 이루어져야 한다. Appearance has become an important means of expressing oneself in modern society, and women often desire to lose weight. Therefore, this study examined the diets of female college students with high weight loss needs and analyzed the effects of their body image, sociocultural attitude, body stress and diet behavior on intake weight loss products. Data were collected from 220 Korean female college students from June to July using an online survey program. The questionnaires included body image scale, Sociocultural Attitude Towards Appearance Questionnaire (SATAQ), Body Attitudes Questionnaire (BAQ) and diet behaviors scale. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, the χ<SUP>2</SUP>–test, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and logistic regression analysis using the SPSS 22.0 program. There were significant differences in body image, SATAQ, obesity stress and diet behavior between groups. All variables were significantly correlated with each other. Factors influencing weight loss products intake by female university students were SATAQ (OR=1.15, CI=1.03–1.29), obesity stress (OR=1.13, CI=1.06–1.20), diet behaviors (OR=1.21, CI=1.10–1.33), and knowledge regarding the side effects of weight loss products (OR=3.86, CI=1.62–9.20). Thus, it is necessary to teach female college students to recognize healthy weight control methods. Moreover, if weight loss products are needed, appropriate information should be provided regarding the ingredients and side effects of the product.
차량 조종 안정성 향상을 위한 MDPS 제어 알고리즘 개발

In this paper, we suggest new control algorithms of motor driven power steering (MDPS) system to improve steering maneuverability. Conventional MDPS system supports a driver to steer easily through an electric motor. Therefore, it is possible to stabilize vehicle movement by applying additional control algorithms to conventional MDPS system without any other equipment. Proposed control algorithms allow MDPS system to distinguish vehicle state independently without other systems, such as electronic stability control (ESC) system and stabilize vehicle movement through additional torque. Proposed algorithms consist of three algorithms - road surface detection algorithm, handling compensation algorithm and yaw compensation algorithm. First, road surface detection algorithm is to distinguish road surface through estimated alignment torque and to calculate surface index (SI) as a new vehicle state. SI is obtained by difference between of reference alignment torque on high-μroad and on driving road. Handling compensation algorithm and yaw compensation algorithm generate additional torque, which make vehicle movement more stable, using SI. Handling compensation algorithm functions to improve steering maneuver in a nonlinear region where the alignment torque is saturated and prevent over and under steering. yaw compensation algorithm enables to return a steering wheel more rapidly and improve yaw stability. We have implemented this algorithm in ECU of MDPS system and conducted an actual vehicle test to verify performances of proposed control algorithms. Test results were compared with test results of conventional MDPS system and it proves vehicle stability improvement of proposed control algorithms.
