This paper desri an analytieal method for wheel wear prediction. The outputs from vehicle dynamic software are used to caculate the wheel wear. Two calculation examples are shown for a high-speed line and a conventional line. Through the comparison of two cases, we can see the wheel wear characteristics on the conventional line and the high-speed line. The conventional line has many curved tracks that cause severe wheel flange wear. The influences of curve radius on wheel wear are also described considering the operational perpormance of the high speed trainset. A method of calculation using contact patch work model is presented for determination of the evolution by wear of railway wheels.
KTX차량의 편성차량수가 후미 불안정 진동에 미치는 영향

The acceptance of KTX has been performed on Korea. During the test, lateral vibration of earboby over the accepted yalua calld sway was founf, KTX has 20 formtion whose trailer cars are linked by artieulate bogies. So this study is performed to see to effectes of long trainset formation on vehiale dynamics. and the train stability by 20 car vehivle model. Firstly the reliable madel which shows well the tendencies appeared in the tests on the high speed test line is required to find to find the cause of lateral vibration and the countermeasure. Vehicle model was made for the analysis with VAMPRE. Theanalysis results show that seeondary air spring lateral stiffness is most significant parameter to cause catbody lateral vibration Mode analysis results show that the least damped mode shape is similar to the vibration pattern shown in the tests that the amplitude of the motion increases along the train set 물 decreases in the tail part. For the case of short train formation with 7 or 10cars, sway does not happen. But in the ease of longer train formation with 16 or 20 cars,sway was found.

The acceptance test of KTX has been performed in Korea. During the test, lateral vibration of carbody over the accepted value called sway was found. Many activities have been taken to find the cause of the vibration and the counter-measure. KTX has 20 car trainset formation whose trailer cars are linked by articulate bogies. So this study is performed to see the effects of long trainset formation on vehicle dynamics and the train stability by 16 car vehicle model. Firstly the reliable vehicle model which shows well the tendencies appeared in the tests on the high speed test line is required to find the cause of lateral vibration and the countermeasure. Vehicle model was made for the analysis with VAMPIRE. The analysis results show that secondary air spring lateral stiffness is the most significant parameter to cause carbody lateral vibration. Mode analysis results show that the least damped mode shape is similar to the vibration pattern shown in the tests that the amplitude of the motion increases along the train set and decreases in the tail part. The lateral vibration was appeared at the speed range between 100km/h and 200km/h and disappeared at the low speed and the high speed.

This paper describes a characteristics of wheel wear of high speed train running on the conventional line. Conventional line has many curved tracks that cause severe wheel flange wear. The influences of lubrication, cant deficiency, curve radius on wheel wear are also described considering the operation performance of the highspeed trainset. A method of calculation using contact patch work model is presented for determination of the evolution by wear of railway wheels.

Infrared thermography has been used widely for the fault detection of the mechanical systems and electrical systems. The high-speed performance of the IR camera and a reliable thermal image analysis method are necessary for the condition monitoring of the moving bodies such as rotating parts and rotors. The effective fault detection method using a thermal image analysis could make a real time monitoring of the high speed train possible. Therefore. the investigation of the performance of the thermal image analysis method was performed to find the effective analysis method. The results suggested that a continuous temperature subtraction method and the comparison of the characteristics of the image histogram obtained at different conditions could be used as a useful analysis method for detecting abnormalities related to temperature condition.
궤도상 국부적인 위치에서의 차륜레일 마찰계수 변화가 차량 주행안전성에 미치는 영향 해석

철도차량 차륜과 레일 사이의 마찰계수는 철도차량 주행안전성에 영향을 미치는 중요한 인자중의 하나이다. 이 마찰계수는 인터페이스의 상태 또는 오일, 물, 낙엽 등 개재물에 따라서 선로의 일정구간에서 변화 될 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 평탄선과 곡선부의 특정 위치에서 마찰계수가 변동될 때에 철도차량 주행안전성에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검토하였다. The adhesion coefficient of railway wheel, which is also called as friction coefficient between wheel and rail is an important factor for obtaining a running safety of railway vehicle. The adhesion coefficient can be changed locally at a specific position along the track by the conditions of the interface and the materials existing between the wheel and the rail such as oil, water and leaves. Therefore the influence of the local change of the friction coefficient of wheel at a given position along the track on the running safety of the vehicle was investigated.
