코로나19로 인한 쌍방향 원격수업에 관한 연구 : 세종시 초등학교 교사들과 FGI 질적연구방법을 중심으로

코로나19의 발생으로 대한민국 전체 초·중등학교들이 전면적인 원격수업이 실시되었다. 원격수업으로 전환된 학교들은 정보기기부터 학습자료, 교사들의 수업준비 등의 준비 부족문제뿐만 아니라 학교와 교사, 학생, 학부모들 모두 혼란스러워했다. 교육당국은 과제제시형, 콘텐츠형, 쌍방향형 등으로 원격수업의 형태를 제시하며, 학교의 상황에 따라 학습방법을 선택하고 실행하도록 하였다. 이에 본 연구자는 쌍방향 위주의 원격수업 방법을 운영하고 있는 세종시 관내 초등학교를 선택하여 FGI 질적연구 방법을 사용해 원격수업에 대한 운영 현황을 살펴보았다. 선정된 학교는 세종시교육청의 원격수업 선도학교로 지정된 H초등학교, 원격수업 우수학교로 소개된 Y초등학교, 본 연구자가 근무하고 있는 D초등학교 등 초등학교 3곳, 17명의 교사들과 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 그 결과 원격수업의 형태, 교사들의 원격수업 대응 방법, 포스트코로나 시대의 교육방향이라는 세 분류로 구분되었다. 교사들은 원격수업을 운영하며 교육과정에 대한 재구성을 통해 전문성 신장에 노력하였고, 학생 맞춤형 수업설계로 학습자 중심 수업으로의 방향 전환이 이루어졌다. 또한, 학생들의 원격학습 능력을 신장시키기 위해서 자기주도적 학습력을 신장시키기 위한 교육방안의 필요성이 대두되었으며, 교육당국은 적극적인 정보인프라 구축 및 정보활용에 관한 교사연수 운영, 급당 학생수 감소 등에 대한 장기적인 대안도 필요한 것으로 나타났다. Due to the outbreak of COVID19, remote classes of all elementary and secondary schools in Korea were held in full scale. However, teachers, students and parents were confused due to lack of information devices, learning materials, and teachers lack of preparation for remote classes. Educational authorities presented the form of remote classes such as assignment type, content type, and interactive type, to implement remote learning methods according to the situation of the school. Therefore, this researcher selected three elementary schools in Sejong City, which operates an interactive remote class method, and examined the status of remote class operation using the FGI qualitative research method. The selected schools interviewed 17 teachers in three elementary schools, including H Elementary School, which was designated as the leading school for remote classes by the Sejong City Office of Education, Y Elementary School, which was introduced as an excellent school for it’s remote classes, and D Elementary School, where this researcher works. The result was divided into three categories: the form of remote classes, how teachers respond to remote classes, and the direction of education in the Postcorona era. Teachers tried to improve their skills by reorganizing the curriculum for remote classes. They changed into a learner-centered class structure by focusing on student-customized classes. In addition, the necessity of education plans to improve self-directed learning skill to improve students remote learning ability has emerged. Also long-term alternatives to the establishment of active information infrastructure, the operation of teacher training on information utilization, and the decrease of the number of students per class are also needed.
