The flow around a rotating circular cylinder near a plane wall is investigated by the measurement of the lift acting on the cylinder and by the flow visualization using the hydrogen bubble technique in the circulating water tank. The experimental parameters are the rotating direction of the cylinder. the space ratios $H/D(H/D=0.05{\sim}0.5)$ between cylinder and plane wall and the velocity ratios ${\alpha}({\alpha}=0{\sim}{\pm}2.0)$. In the case of clockwise, the lift on the rotating circular cylinder was increased with the reduction of the space ratios and with the velocity ratios, the upper separation point was more shifted in the rotating direction with them. In the case of anticlockwise, the absolute value of the lift on the rotating circular cylinder was increased with increasing the space ratios and the velocity ratios. the lower separation point was more shifted in the rotating direction with them.

We consider introducing an optical thin film to the light guiding wall of a pixel in order to enhance the light guiding efficiency of a CMOS image sensor. Simulating the reflectance as a function of the incidence angle using the Essential Macleod program, we find that the range of total internal reflection is greatly increased for several materials. Particularly when air is chosen as the thin film material, the critical angle of total internal reflection could be shifted to about 50 degrees. CMOS 이미지 센서의 수광 효율을 높이기 위해서 픽셀의 광 통로 벽에 광학 박막의 도입을 제안하고자 한다. Essential Macleod를 이용하여 시뮬레이션해 본 결과, 전반사가 일어나는 범위가 현저히 증가하였다. 특히 공기 박막을 도입할 경우에, 그 효과가 가장 현저하여, 광 통로 벽에서의 전반사 임계각이 50도로까지 확대되었다.

본 연구는 지문 인식 시스템 중에서 프리즘을 이용한 광학계의 설계에 대한 것이다. 이는 프리즘, 렌즈, 그리고 CMOS 이미지 센서(혹은 CCD) 등으로 구성되어 있는 광학계이다. 종래의 프리즘을 이용한 지문인식 광학계에서는 지문에 물이 묻어 있는 경우에 영상의 품질이 현저히 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 이 경우에 프리즘의 굴절률을 높임으로써 영상의 품질을 충분히 높일 수 있었다. 또한 프리즘과 렌즈를 사용함으로 인하여 발생하는 비대칭 축소 왜곡(anamorphic distortion)과 상면의 지를 최소화되는 프리즘 꼭지각 $\alpha$를 제안한다. We propose a design and analysis of an optical system using a prism with a high enough refractive index for wet fingerprint identification. Important parameters including the tilting angle($\beta$) of the $1^{st}$ image plane, an anamorphic distortion, and a tilt of image plane are considered in terms of the apex angle of the prism($\alpha$) and refractive index of the prism material. Our suggestion on refractive index and apex angle of the prism corroborates well with experimental results.

When the aspect ratio of a magnet varies, the magnetic field in the magnet also varies. The critical current of a tape-shaped HTS wire varies with the direction and magnitude of applied magnetic field. Consequently when the aspect ration of a HTS magnet varies, the critical current of a HTS magnet varies. This paper shows the relation between the aspect ratio of a magnet and the energy and inductance of a HTS magnet. The critical current is also shown at various aspect ratio of the magnet. The length of the HTS wire, inner diameter of the magnet, and number of pancake are chosen to be variables which varies the shape of the magnet. For a HTS magnet consisting of pancake windings, calculation results show the number of pancake windings are the prime factor which varied the energy and inductance of the magnet. The inner diameter of the magnet varies the energy and inductance of the magnet a little.
전계를 이용한 팬케이크 권선으로 제작되는 마그넷의 임계전류 산정

The method to determine the operating current of HTS magnets needs to be different from that of LTS magnets. This paper presented estimation of the critical current of pancake windings. The pancake windings can be excited by a single power source or by multiple power sources. Critical currents were determined by using field dependent E-J relation. For the better estimation of the critical current, a new method to define the magnetic field of the HTS wire has been proposed. Calculated critical currents of pancake windings were compared with measured ones of the HTS BSCCO magnet consisting of 10 pancake windings. According to the test results, the estimated critical currents of pancake windings agreed well with that of measured ones. Effects of the single and multiple power source excitation on the critical currents have been also examined.
시뮬레이션을 이용한 자동차 부품 공급 시스템 도입 방안 분석: R자동차 사례

본 논문은 R자동차 공장 사례를 통해 공장 내 물류 개선 방안을 연구하고자 한다. 즉, 유인 견인차로 공급되던 도어 조립체, 후드 조립체, 트렁크 조립체를 AGV를 이용하여 공급하기 위해 무인공급시스템으로의 전환 타당성을 검토한다. 검토 수단으로는 Witness 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 기법을 적용한다. 본 실험에서는 우선 AGV의 적정 필요 대수를 산출한다. 또한 AGV 전용 도로를 왕복 1차선으로 적용하는 가능성을 확인한다. 마지막으로 무인공급시스템의 투자타당성 분석을 통해 무인공급시스템으로의 전환이 타당함을 보인다. This research studies an alternative plan to improve the material flow between two production lines through a case of R motors. That is, this paper investigates the effectiveness of changing manned tow trucks into an unmanned logistics system based on AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles) to move door, hood, and trunk assemblies. Witness is adopted for this simulation study. The experiment first determines the optimal number of AGVs. In addition, the use of a single line is tested for AGVs. Finally, this research shows that the investment on the unmanned logistics system is effective.
