In this paper, we studied of the non-contact bill counter by using optical fiber sensor The non-contact measurement type by using optical fiber sensor has the advantage of high speed and automated measurement. The optical fiber sensor counts the number of sheets between bill surface and sensor by non-contact type. A prototype counter was composed of a jig part, a optical fiber sensor part and a signal processing circuit. Herein, we found out possibility to counts the number of sheets by non-contact bill counter using optical fiber sensor.

In this paper, we studied the possibility of non-contact bill counting method using optical fiber sensor instead of traditionally used friction counting method. To implement non-contact counting, we designed and made optical fiber sensor and related parts. optical fiber sensor is made of optical fiber of 1mm diameter , photo diode and laser diode. Based on the conclusion which derived from preliminary experiment, instrument part is designed to make unevenness on the surface of bill paper and to stay parallel with optical fiber section. By analyzing the signal of optical sensor, we made counting program. Experimental instrument is composed of sensor part, instrument part, signal handling part. We checked the possibility of non-contact counting method after implementing experiment by using optical fiber sensor and instrument part.
광섬유 센서를 이용한 50,000원 지폐 위조 판별에 관한 연구

The authenticity of bank note is threatened by increasing a counterfeit note with development of the information industry, recently. The importance of counterfeit discrimination is stressed, but there is a limits to popularization. Because usually, the existing counterfeit discriminator uses invisible ray zone like UV, IR, etc. The purpose of this paper is the construction of counterfeit discrimination system for ₩50,000 bills. This system is used optical fiber sensor with excellent confidence as well as easy way of using in wave length of a visible ray zone. The light was altered by lightening optical fiber sensor to particular part of bank notes in order displacing response of optical fiber sensor. The experiment was processed with data of 100 bank notes on manufacture optical fiber, probe, jig. As a result, the discrimination conuterfeit was verified when the experiment was processing with hologram or CSI on the bank notes with three kinds of color printer.

In this study, we developed a counting method for non-contact ID cards using an optical fiber displacement sensor instead of the traditionally used friction counting method. The proposed method has the advantage of high speed and automated measurement. For counting non-contact ID cards, an H-type optical fiber sensor, jig part, and counting program are developed separately to build the system and adjust it. Through the experimental test results, it was confirmed that counting is possible with one type of international ID card and one type of financial security cardbased on ISO7810. Furthermore, by applying the proposed method to 100 ID cards 100 times repeatedly, it was confirmed that it has high accuracy and an error ratio of 0%. We experimentally demonstrated that the proposed counting method for non-contact ID cards using an optical fiber displacement sensor can perform measurements with high accuracy and high speed.
