        Effects of fuel composition and exhaust gas recirculation on ignition delay characteristics of n-heptane/hydrogen blended fuel

        The autoignition characteristics of n-heptane/hydrogen were investigated numerically. The effects of the temperature, fuel compositions and Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) on the autoignition characteristics were evaluated. The numerical study on the ignition delay time was performed using the CHEMKIN-PRO software to calculate ignition delay time and predict the chemical species in the combustion process. The results revealed that ignition delay time decreased with an increase in the hydrogen fraction in the mixture in low temperature regime, but the opposite behavior observed in high temperature regime. The oxidation reaction of n-heptane in low temperature regime is limited with increasing mole fraction of hydrogen in blended fuel. Thus, cool flame which is characteristics of n-heptane is weakened. As consumption rate of n-heptane and temperature are decreased, total reactivity is decreased. The ignition delay time sharply decrease with EGR due to intermediate species in the exhaust gas.

        The autoignition characteristics of n-heptane/n-butanol were investigated both experimentally and numerically. The effects of oxygen concentration and exhaust gas recirculation rate on the autoignition characteristics were evaluated. A rapid compression machine was employed to measure ignition delay times of blended fuels. A numerical study on the ignition delay time was performed using the CHEMKIN-PRO software to calculate ignition delay time and predict the chemical species in the combustion process. The results revealed that the ignition delay time increased with decreasing oxygen concentration due to the thermal load effect of nitrogen. The oxidation reaction of n-heptane in a low temperature regime was limited with decreasing oxygen concentration. The ignition delay time sharply decreased with exhaust gas recirculation because of theintermediate species in the exhaust gas. Exhaust gas recirculation reduced first ignition delay dramatically. However, the time interval between the first and main ignition increased with increased exhaust gas recirculation.

        A Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of a High Velocity Impinging Inverse Diffusion Flames

        Experimental measurements of flame shape and heat transfer characteristics were performed for impinged inverse diffusion flame(IDF) using propane as a fuel. The purpose of this study is to identify the favorable co-axial inverse diffusion flame structure for impingement heating. The flame consisted of an entrainment zone and mixing and combustion zone. The heat flux which represents heat transfer rate is measured by using a heat flux sensor that is located at the center of the impingement plate. The inverse diffusion flame structure has been classified into six modes. In these modes, several favorable flames for impingement heating were identified. In this study, the parameters are overall equivalent ratio(Φ), nozzle to impingement plate distance(h/d), vertical distance from the stagnation point and Reynolds number(Re) of combustion air.

        In the case of fraud, deception is an objective component, but its content and scope are not easily predictable. Jurisprudence expands the scope of deception by stating that all acts that are contrary to the good faith and sincerity are included in its scope. In discussing the establishment of the fraud by omission, precedents and theories that seek the basis for the duty to act in the principle of good faith are being criticized a lot. It is understandable that it is a realistic limitation that it is impossible to make all the circumstances and contents of the obligation to act as a component. Article 18 of the Criminal Law needs to be specified as a provision corresponding to the fulfillment of the elements of omission and the need for legislation to add a provision for arbitrarily reducing the penalty according to the degree of illegality of the omission. The jurisprudence suggests as a criterion for judging whether the duty to inform is violated or not. The principle of good faith and sincerity is abstract and ambiguous regulation. There have been many changes in the real estate transaction situation these days compared to the past. In consideration of the changed real estate transaction, whether the party acknowledges the violation of the duty to inform must be applied and interpreted differently. In this regard, this paper presents the opinion that a limited determination of fraud by omission should be made in consideration of the duty to inform and the duty of confirmation of the other party as well. Eventually, fraud by omission must be limitedly convicted.

        With increasing ship's speed turnround and port time becomes a large percentage of total roundtrip time and this causes to accelerate the introduction of the various kind of modern handling equipment, the standardization of cargoes, and the improvement of the ship. However, it is still a drag on efficient operation of ship. Similarly, the turnround time at the container port is very important as a measure for the decision of the efficiency of port. To decrease operating coasts, the minimization of the time need to cargo handling at the ports of call must be achieved. Thus the optimization of the time need to cargo handling at the ports of call must be achieved. Thus the optimized Container Loading Plan is necessary, especially under the rapid speed of container operations. For the container loading plan, in this thesis, we use the hungarian method and the branch and bound method to get the initial disposition of both maximization of ship's GM and minimization of shift number to the obstructive container in a yard area. We apply the dynamic programming algorithm to get the final disposition for minimizing total turnroudn time and finally we analyzed the results to check whether the initial disposition is proper or not.

        An Experimental Study on the Flame Appearance and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Acoustically Excited Impinging Inverse Diffusion Flames

        본 오디오 스피커로 음향 가진과 비가진 된 충돌 역 확산화염에서 화염의 형상과 열전달 특성에 관한 실험 적 연구를 수행하였다. 가진에 의해 화염은 반응대가 넓어지고 화염 길이는 좀 더 짧아지는 경향을 보이며 충돌판의 정체점에서 열전달 성능인 열유속은 가진에 의해 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 가진 효과는 당량비가 높은 과농 한 상태 보다 상대적으로 낮은 혼합 상태에서 효과적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되는데 이는 가진에 의해 주위 산화제가 연료 분류로의 유입이 향상되어 나타나는 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 현상으로 본 연구에서는 당량비가 0.8인 경우 정체점에서 총 열유속이 최대 57% 증가되는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 가진 연소가 충돌 분류 화염에서 열전달 성능을 향상시키는데 효과적인 방법임을 확인하게 되었다. An experimental investigation of the flame appearance and heat transfer characteristics in both unexcited and excited impinging inverse diffusion flames with a loud speaker has been performed. The flame is found to become broader and shorter (in length) with acoustic excitation. The heat flux at the stagnation point is increased with the acoustic excitation. The acoustic excitation is more effective in lean conditions than in rich conditions. The reasons for these behaviors are that acoustic excitation improves the entrainment of surrounding air into the jet. From this study, it is found that the maximum increase of 57% in the total heat flux is obtained at the stagnation point of Φ=0.8. Therefore, it is ascertained that the excitation combustion can be adopted with effective instruments as a method for improving heat transfer in impinging jet flames.
