Cooking quality of the rice is depended on the hardness distribution and amylose contents in the rice grain according to the starch cellular tissues. Author was attempted to find out rice quality for the cooking about newly bred rice varieties by employing the Sump method to the starch cellular tissues. The results obtained are as follows. The length to breadth ratios of Tongil lines ranged from 2.50 to 2.10 but those of ordinary varieties were 2.06-1.68. The breadth to thickness ratio, number of cells according to lateral and dorsiventral line of cross section in grains, dimension of starch cellular tissues showed no difference between Tongil and ordinary strains. Degree of hardness seemed to be as follows; Chosaeng Tongil and Tongil are Ⅰ_a.Milying 22 and 37, Yungnam Chosaeng and Yushin are Ⅰ_b.Milyang 23, 21, 15 and Karlous are Ⅱ_b.Milyang 26, Chugoku, Palkweng, Tongil and Glutinous are Ⅱ_d. Mankyung, Satominorhee, Norin No. 6, Akibare, Paltal, Milsung and Noring Glutinous No. 1 are Ⅱ_e.

We should keep well these remains following by ancestor, and further, metal Crafts should be found in direction of existance of nationality to spread be found in direction of existance of nationality to spread education in order to make students know how to Contrast harmoney well between old traditional metal Crafts and modern metal crafts. In this point of View, we will have to study metal inlay technique which is the typical technique of metal craft and master the technique, and then uphold and develop our metal craft.

Gib. Treatment stimulate in seeds dormancy but induce slender over growth in young seedlings. The writer carried the studies purpose of controling such slender over growth. (1) Mixtures 3-Indol Acetic Acid (5,000 and 10.00 times dilution) with Gib. 10 ppm effected a little in reduce slender over growth of young potato stems after sprout. (2) There is no defere is no deference in controling with mixture of Gib. and 3-1.A.A. or double treatment of Gib. and 3-1.A.A.

Four Quartets에 나타난 Eliot의 歷史觀

T.S. Eliot denies the cyclic view of history and the doctrine of progress which finds in history an upward development chiefly through the metaphor of the sea in 'The Dry Salvages'. In 'The Dry Salvages' the sea which is the time of history is a meaningless perpetual flux, a repetition without pattern. And also in 'East Coker' the doctrine of progress is denied through the symbol of the natural phenomena. But he finds a meaning in the sea. The sea is not only the time of history but the time beyond history. The history as a meaningless perpetual flux is conquered only through time. "Only through the time time is conquered." In 'Burnt Norton' and 'Little Gidding' which are the place in history, Eliot experiences the "sudden illumination", the moment beyond history, the moment of eternity. "Quick now, here, now, always-." To sum up, T.S. Eliot's view of history is that of eschatology.

Ezra Pound의 The Cantos에 나타난 시의 기법 연구 : 시의 리얼리티를 회복키 위한 기법을 중심으로

The major techniques Ezra Pound employs in his Cantos are metamorphosis (or metempsychsis), persona, and ideogrammic method, all of which are the devices he found during many years of study. The metamorphoses Pound puts to use in The Cantos as a poetic method are of two kinds: one is that which involves the transmission of an idea, an image, an archetypal figure or deity through various cultural situations, the other is the constant change of form which a creature experiences. Either kind of metamorphosis, however, is the expression of the allegory to the phenomena of the outer world as well as that of the projection of inner psychic drama. Whether it is change of the outer world or that of the inner world which the metamorphoses may manifest, it certainly reflects what Pound believes the world to be; that is, changeable reality in flux. Because metamorphic episodes are objective manifestations of the poet's outer and inner phenomena, they contribute much to expressing the poet's inner reality and outer phenomena as a more objective reality. The method of persona involves three kinds: that of literal translation, that in which the image of Odysseus as a narrator is stronger than that of Pound, and that in which the image of Pound is stronger than that of Odysseus. Translation is the most objective method, yet the other two methods tend to help chararacters and plots have archetypal meanings, for the characters and plots using these methods are likely to be identified with mythological characters and plots on the structure of The Odyssey. Accordingly narrators present everything on a more objective and firm basis, with the result that they can establish a more real and profound world. Ideogrammic method is a method of juxtaposing quotations and excerpts from various literatures without explanation, expecting readers to form their own opinions or conclusions on the fragments for themselves. This method results from the belief that poetry is ultimately related to the concrete, individual details, not the generalized ideas of them. As George Dekker says, Pound's view of reality is opposed to the view that the visible phenomenal world is subject to or belongs to the prime mover. What matters and is certain to Pound is this changeable physical world, not that of "cogito ergo sum" in which one incessantly speculates on the universe on the basis of his own mental activity, nor the world of Platonic ideas. The corollary is that the world of The Cantos is not his creation, but only his "constatation" of important facts among the records of human experiences. His methods are devices with which to contain such facts and things, not those with which to deduce or infer, so that his poetry is in a way one fragment of reality itself.

小兒 急性 絲球體 腎炎에 對한 臨床的 觀察

We observed 84 cases of actue glomerulonephritis that were admitted to the department of pediatrics, Kyungpook National Univrsity Hospital during the 7 years peroiod from Aug. 1966 to July, 1973. 1) The incidence was 3.7% of the total inpatients. A peak incidence was in 1972 and gradually increasing tendency was seen year after year. The prevalent month was four months (Oct. to Jan) and slightly peak in June. 2) The sex incidence was higher in male than in female and the ratio was Ⅰ. 8 : Ⅰ. The age incidence was highest in the 4-9 age group, which was gradually tend to decrease recently. 3) Among the predisposing factors, upper respiratory tract infections were the highest (64.7%) and the others were impetigo, scarlet fever, and mumps. The remaining 24.0% was unknown. 4) The most common clinical symptom was edema (83.3%), followed by hematuria (66.7%) and oliguria (25.0%). Only 57.6% of the cases was admitted within 10 days after the onset of the disease. 5) On admission, proteinuria and hematuria were found in most of thecases, and was found cast in 38.5% I urine, increased E.S.R. in 66.7%, mild anemia in 30.9% Ieucocytosis in 52.4%. We also observed more than 40mg of N. P. N. in 36.8% of thes cases and serum cholesterol was within normal limit. 6) The group A beta-hemolytic streptococci were cultured in only 3 cases (3.6%) from throat swab culture. 7) Hypertension (diastolic pressure was more than 90mmHg) was seen in 53.75. 8) In chest X-ray findings, the increased pulmonary marking was seen in 34.1%, pulmonary edema in 2.4%, cardiomegaly in 12.2% and pleural effusion in 7.3%. 9) The complications were observed in 8 cases (9.5%), in which hypertensive encephalopathy was seen in 7 cases. We could not see uremia in any of cases. 10) The improved rate was 78.6% and most of which caess were recovered within 3 weeks after admission and 2 cases wetentransfered to the chronic cases and no fatal case during observation period.
