김호영엘리자베스조 산문 서사 문학에 대한 문학사가들의 평가는 대체적으로 부정적이다. 그 중요한 이유 중의 하나는 이 서사 문학에 대해서 그것 자체의 특성과 예술적 발전이라는 관점에서 보기보다는 19세기에 확립된 사실주의적 소설의 관점에서 이 문학 작품들을 평가하는 데 기인한다. 따라서 프라이의 역사적 시기와 문학적 양식 사이에 존재하는 연관성에 대한 이론은 엘리자베스조 산문 서사 문학의 독특한 양식적 다양성을 음미하게 해주는데 있어서 매우 효과적인 연구의 틀을 제공하고 있다. 더군다나 시드니의 아르카디아나 개스코인의 F. J.씨의 모험 그리고 내쉬의 불행한 여행자와 같은 작품들은 엘리자베스조 산문 서사 문학의 전반적인 양식적 다양성뿐만 아니라 그 다양성이 한 작품 속에도 존재할 수 있음을 보여준다. 한 걸음 더 나아가 숄러스와 켈로그의 서사 장르에 대한 이론은 엘지자베스조 산문 서사 문학에서 보여지는 다양한 장르와 그 장르들의 혼합에 대해서 보다 체계적인 연구를 할 수 있는 발판을 마련해준다. 이들의 이론을 릴리의 유피어스와 롯지의 로살린드 딜로니의 리딩의 토마스에 적용시켜보면 이들 작품들이 점차적으로 예시와 심미적 만족감 그리고 사실적 묘사라고 하는 서사 문학의 다양한 요구들을 통합시키는 방향으로 발전하고 있음을 볼 수 있다. 비록 엘리자베스조 산문 서사 문학이 후대의 영국 근대 소설의 직접적인 모태라고 말할 수는 없겠지만 이 서사 문학이 근대 소설이 지향하는 목표를 나름대로 추구하고 있었다는 점만은 인정해야 할 것이다.

Korea has strategic storage capacity of approximately 116 million barrels equivalent to national consumption of sixty days based on previous year's statistics, and about eighty percent of total strategic storage utilizes underground facilities. Stored products include crude oil, product oil and LPG, and they are mainly stored in un-lined rock cavern with water curtain system under high pressure and at atmospheric temperature. The core technology of underground storage construction is in excavation of large caverns and ensuring hydro-geological stability of the structure. This technology has been developed for the last thirty years through numbers of projects, and new technology of cryogenic storing of LNG in lined rock cavern is currently under development. It is expected that such underground storage technology will be of practical application in construction and development of strategic storage facilities in East Asia. 우리나라는 현재 전년도 수입량 대비 60일분에 해당하는 약 1억 1천 6백만 배럴 규모의 국가 전략 비축 시설을 보유하고 있고, 이 중에서 80%가 지하 저장 시설이다. 저장되고 있는 석유류는 원유, 제품유 및 LPG이며, 저장 방식은 무복공 암반 공동에 수벽 시스템을 이용한 상온고압 방식을 사용하고 있다. 지하저장 시설의 주요 기술은 대규모 저장 공동을 건설하는 기술과, 저장물의 안전한 보존을 위한 수리 지질적 안정성 확보 기술이다. 이러한 기술은 지난 30여 년간 다수의 프로젝트를 통하여 꾸준히 기술 축적이 이루어져 왔으며, 지금은 극저온 물질인 LNG 지하 저장 기술의 개발이 진행되고 있다. 지하저장 시설에 대한 축적된 국내 기술은 향후 동아시아 지역의 석유류 전략 비축 시설 건설에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

복공식 지하암반 Cavern에 LNG를 저장하고자 하는 새로운 개념이 수년 동안 연구되어 왔으며 검증 프로그램을 통해 저장 개념에 대한 효용성이 입증된 바 있다. 기본 개념은 열충격으로부터 암반을 보호하고 LNG를 안전하게 저장하기 위한 내조시스템과 주변암반이 동결되기 전에 지하수를 배수하고, 내조시스템에 정수압이 작용하는 것을 방지하기 위한 배수시스템으로 구성된다. SK건설은 프랑스의 Geostock사 및 SN Technigaz사와 기술제휴 협약을 체결하고 동굴식 LNG 지하저장 파일럿 프로젝트를 진행중에 있다. 각 협력사들은 본 프로젝트로부터 이러한 신기술의 시공, 시운전 그리고 운전에 있어 발생할 수 있는 중요한 문제점들을 파악하고 실제 프로젝트를 다루는데 필요한 내조시스템과 주변 암반의 거동에 대한 체계적인 지식을 습득하게 될 것이다. A new concept storing LNG in a lined hard rock cavern has been developed for several years and demonstrated the validity of the concept by performing a validation program. The basic concept developed is based on the combination of a containment system to insure LNG containment and rock protection against thermal shock and a drainage system to drain water around the cavity and prevent hydrostatic pressure acting against the containment system before the surrounding rock is frozen. By an agreement on process and techniques in cooperation with Geostock and SN Technigaz in France, SK Engineering & Construction has been working on the pilot project of lined cavern LNG storage. The three partners will get the potential critical points for construction, start up and operation of such new technology and will increase the systematic knowledge for the behaviour of the containment system and its surrounding rock.

The pre-modernity in the modernity: The study of the space shape in Kim Ki-Young's movies Kim Ho-Young The aim of this paper attempts to explain the conflicts between the modern times and the premodern times in the Korean movies of the 1960's through analyzing the shapes of spaces in Kim Ki-young's movies. For it, this paper explains the meaning and the function of the space through his movies, which were produced from the early 1960's to the early 1970's, whose names of those movies are The Housemaid(1960), Woman of Fire(1971) and Insect Woman(1972). Furthermore, this paper can make us understand the social structure in those times. First of all, this paper pays attention to the spaces where the narrative happened. A two-story house, a big and tall apartment, a building and an overpass express the features of the Korean society which was accelerating the industrialization and the modernization. However, all this space where coexisted both the modern and the premodern represent the confusing features in that society. The second, this paper has analyzed the shape of space in his movies. He expressed the conflicts between the modern times and the premodern times with cinematically techniques. Most of all, he used this way, that is, "frame within frame". He gave cinema audiences the pleasure of voyeurism and the position of the observant using this technique in a lot of ways. Also, in using the "frame within frame" technique, he made a lot of visual images through the values of the premodern times which were interlaced in the values of the modern times.
