Study on the Focusing Position Effects in a Diode End-pumped Nd:YAG Laser

A multi-kHz high-repetition-rate laser-diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser was developed, and its lasing properties were demonstrated for laser optimization. The dependence of the output power on the pump beam’s focusing position in the Nd:YAG crystal was determined. The optimum focusing position of the pump beam for efficient extraction of the diode’s pump energy was confirmed to be 1 mm inside the laser crystal from the surface of the Nd:YAG. This focusing position is independent of the length of the laser crystal. The beam quality factor, M2, was decreased from values of 2.8 ∽ 2.9 to less than 1.3 in both the CW and the pulsed modes by insertion of a 500 ∽ 600 µm aperture inside the laser cavity. In second harmonic generation (SHG), we found that the output power and the pulse width were very sensitive to the LBO operating temperature. We confirmed that controlling the LBO crystal’s temperature was very important for efficient and stable operation of the 532 nm laser.

Enamel hypoplasia may be defined as an incomplete formation of the organic enamel matrix of teeth can be derived from a variety of local and systemic factors. A 9-year-old female patient with a chief complaint of abnormal crown shape with partial anodontia came to the clinic for complete rehabilitation. Family history revealed the presence of notched central incisors in her brother and VDRL was performed to rule out congenital syphilis which responded positively in this case. Functional orthodontic appliance were delivered to increase vertical dimension and hypoplastic teeth were restored either stainless steel crown or composite resin restoration. Congenital missing and extracted areas were recovered by delivering upper and lower removable acrylic partial dentures.
『刺青』考察 -에로스(Eros)와 타나토스(Thanatos)의 중층적 양상-

ジークムント・フロイト(Sigmund Freud)は人間の本能をエロス的本能とタナトス的本能の二つに分けている。彼が掲げているエロス(Eros)は性的欲望の追求を志向する槪念で、生の衝動と繋がっているし、性衝動の延長線上にあるエロスと対比となる本能をタナトス(Thanatos)として死の衝動を表す言葉である。単純に見たらエロスとタナトスはお互いに違う意味で使われているが、生の本能と死の本能は、一緒になって融合している。苦痛のかわりに美を得る刺青はエロスとタナトスのウロボロス(古典ギリシア語:ουροβóρος)的役割を担当する。ウロボロスとは「尾を飲み込む(蛇)」の意で、ヘビが脱皮して大きく成長する様や、長期の飢餓状態にも耐える強い生命力などから「死と再生」、「不老不死」などの象徴とされる。そのヘビが自らの尾を食べることで、始まりも終わりも無い完全なものとしての象徴的意味が備わった。刺青は谷崎が一貫して主題に取り上げてきた耽美主義的性向をよく表した作品で、本稿の'清吉のエロスに対する志向'では刺青を通して自分の念願を成そうとするエロスに対する志向を表しているし、'タナトスの中でのエロス'では入れ墨をしながらの苦惱と少女から女性に変わっていく過程を表した。また'エロスの誕生'を通しては少女から女性に變貌する過程を表した。谷崎の人物や素材の設定を見ると、微妙にエロスとタナトスの二つの様相を含んでいる意図的な設定が見られる。これはかつて二つの様相が人間が生きていくのに不可缺な要素であることを直視し、二つの樣相を引き立てて見せるように設定したと見られる。刺青もまたそのような二つの様相の代表的な素材なのだ。

대형 기계장치들로 구성된 플랜트는 기계적 결함에 의해 설비의 고장이 일어날 경우에 대형사고로 연결될 가능성이 클 뿐만 아니라, 부품이 교체되어 재가동되기까지 발생되는 기계휴지시간(machine down time)이 상당히 길게 발생된다. 따라서 설비의 생애주기를 고려한 보다 더 정확한 예측 시스템의 필요성이 강조된다. 한편, 고압 LNG 설비의 유지관리기술로는 잔류 수명을 예측하기 위해 설비의 원천 데이터로부터 전처리 - 특징추출 - 특징선택 - 특징분류 단계를 거쳐 장비의 상태를 진단하고, 예측 단계를 거쳐 최종적으로 수명을 판단하게 된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 위 과정 중 부품의 결함인자를 판단하는 파라미터들의 최적의 개수를 판정하기 위해 자료포락분석(DEA : Data Envelopment Analysis)을 활용하였다. 즉, 장비의 상태를 진단하기 위한 절차 중 고장에 관련한 분류(Classification) 과정에서는 몇 개의 파라미터를 사용하는 것이 적합한지를 가려내고자 하였다.

The final energy consumption in the building sector in Korea represents almost 20% of the total energy consumption. Besides, Space heating and hot water generation in Korea are based on fossil fuels, with a serious environmental impact. Despite the popularity of simple solar domestic hot water systems, active solar space heating remains, for various reasons, marginal. And thus, the aim of this paper is to demonstrate potentialities of solar assisted space heating systems, both technically and economically. From this study found that the solar heating system with CPC solar collectors integrated the roof of a single-story residential building shares $50{\sim}55%$ of the annual heating load.
