New Media have brought diverse changes in information society. But It is more correct that those changes caused by the mature of information technologies rather than direct developments of technologies. Any technologies can not be accepted in the society without the need of life. Socical changes will be predicted to be middle growth economy in social structure, variety of needs, modification in city structure, internationalization, professionalism. In individual aspects, they want comparative information for the estimation of one's surroundings. Family life will be communicating each other more closely and seek rational life planning. In administrative aspect, effective administration, recognition of community member's need are required. High informational society shall involue from the home to the whole society.

Ⅰ. Research Problem. The Purpose of this thesis is to stud) the introduction of CATV with considering the local circumstances. The basic idea of this research is that CATV as a local information media should satisfy the local resident's needs and the policy about it take into account the local circumstances. The research problems gor this goal are as follows : 1) what do the local resident's information needs? 2) what do the local resident's idea about local broadcastings? and what are the relations among exposure, satisfaction, participation and new information needs? 3) What is estimation of CATV system and policy? 4) what is the structual characteristics in the community? what do they affect the local CATV? 5) what are foreign CATV policies and what are the merits which can be introduced? 6) what are the most desirable policies for the development of the community? Ⅱ. Methods The following methods are employed in this research : 1) The research on the Introduction of CATV in the local circumstance was made in the framework of philological study. 2) Because previous scholarship on CATV was lack of the presentation of actual resident's data, this research employed the method of a social survey by which actual data were collected and analyzed. 3) In collecting data concerning the local struclual characteristics, diverse yearbooks were used. 4) Survey : (1) Survey on local resident's information needs(554 samples). ① what is their estimation about local broadcasting? ② which information service do they need most? ③ what are the relations between local broadcasting's exposure, satisfaction, participation and new information needs? (2) survey on the local CATV system in Taegu district. The sampling of local residents were made through multi-stage sampling mehod and 600 persons were chosen and investigated and the number of valid samples was 554. The examination was made from January 10 1989 to January 25, 1989. Replies to questionaires were taken care of by means of SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Science) and the replies were given by 5-point weight through rank order scale. Ⅲ. Finding. Upon examination it was found that they replied they wanted diverse local information. In particular special entertainment service for example movie, sports, drama was ranked very high necessity. New information needs was functions of local broadcasting's exposure, satisfaction, and participation. High exposure resulted in low information need. High satisfaction caused high participation. High participation lead to high information need. Local curcumstances estimation showed big information gaps between rural and usban area. Ⅳ. Discussion. With the conclusion that for desirable CATV introduction several remedies were found out : 1) the local CATV possession and operation should be consortium type including licensed CATV operators, local administrative representatives, CATV experts, and local congress representatives. 2) the local CATV mechanism should be provided with a minimum rental fee by Korea Telecommunication Authority. 3) "Cable TV Management Law" should be revised. 4) New Media Committee should be composed. 5) local seqmentation should be needed as 5 segments. 6) for effrective CATV adapting, model city should be selected. 7) for the activation of local program supplier diverse policy should supported.

Objectives : The purpose of this report is a study on the correlation between parasympathetic nerve system and Back-shu points. Methods : We have studied about the correlation between anatomical distribution of parasympathetic nerve system and that of Back-shu points. Back-shu points are located on the back area as the acupoints of Bladder Meridian(BL), doing its own organic physical and pathological working and directly connected with its own organ. Results and Conclusions : 1. It is suggested that Back-shu points has correlation with parasympathetic nerve system could be Pangguanshu(BL28), Zhonglushu(BL29), Baihuanshu(BL30), Ciliao(BL32), Zhongliao(BL33), Xialiao(BL34), Shangliao(BL31), Xiaochangshu(BL27), Baohuang(BL53), Zhibian(BL54) etc. 2. We proved acupuncture treatment on the nearby spinal area could be one of the method that could stimulate parasympathetic nerve system. 3. The symptom of parasympathetic nerve system's disorder is similar to Back-shu points' chief efficacy a lot. And we proved the Back-shu points which has relation with parasympathetic nerve system as distribution of nerve system are only located at sacral area.
Acromion Index in Korean Population and Its Relationship with Rotator Cuff Tears

Background: Among the many causes of rotator cuff tears, scapular morphology is associated with the accelerating degenerative process of the rotator cuff. Acromion index (AI) was previously introduced and compared in two populations. Methods: We enrolled 100 Korean patients diagnosed with full-thickness rotator cuff tears by magnetic resonance imaging and intraoperative arthroscopic findings between January and December 2013. Another 100 Korean patients with an intact rotator cuff tendon identified on magnetic resonance imaging and other shoulder diseases, such as frozen shoulder and instability, were enrolled as controls. We retrospectively compared these 100 rotator cuff tear patients (mean age, 63 years) and 100 controls (mean age, 51 years) in this study. Two independent orthopedic surgeons assessed the AI on radiographs. We performed an interobserver reliability test of the AI assessment, and then compared the AI between two groups. Results: The measurement of the AI showed excellent reliability (intraclass correlation coefficient, 0.82). The mean AI in the rotator cuff tear group was 0.68 and it was significantly different between groups (p < 0.001, 95% confidence interval). The AI was not related to tear size. Conclusions: Our study showed that the AI was an effective predictive factor for rotator cuff tears in a Korean population.

A yellow-colored, long rod baterial strain of low convexity, designated Panacibacter ginsenosidivorans Gsoil 1550 T was isolated from soil of a ginseng field collected in Pocheon, Republic of Korea. Gsoil 1550 T showed the ability to convert major ginsenosides Rb1, Rc, and Rd to minor ginsenoside F2, and its whole genome was sequenced. The whole genome sequence of Panacibacter ginsenosidivorans Gsoil 1550 T consisted of one circular chromosome of 5,528,026 bp, with 44.6% G + C content. Of the 4,657 predicted genes, 4,572 were proteincording genes, 52 were RNAs, and 33 were pseudogenes. From the complete genome sequence of the strain Gsoil 1550 T , we found several glycoside hydrolase-encoding genes that may be involved in the conversion of major ginsenosides into minor ginsenosides, antibiotic biosynthesis-encoding genes, and cobalamin B12-binding domain-containing genes.

A yellow-colored, circular, convex, rod-shaped baterial strain designated Flavisolibacter ginsenosidimutans Gsoil 636 T was isolated from soil of a ginseng cultivation field in Pocheon Province, South Korea. Gsoil 636 T showed the ability to convert Rb1 (one of the dominant active components of ginseng) to F2, and its whole genome was sequenced. The whole genome of Flavisolibacter ginsenosidimutans Gsoil 636 T consist of a single circular chromosome of 5,079,621 bp, with 48.9% G + C content. Of the 4,338 predicted genes, 4,251 were proteincording genes, 46 were RNAs, and 41 were pseudogenes. Using the complete genome sequence of the strain Gsoil 636 T , we identified several glycoside hydrolase-encoding genes that may be involved in the conversion of major ginsenosides into minor ginsenosides and unexpectedly found antibiotic biosynthesis- encoding genes and excinuclease genes.
