With the deve10pment of market economy and “reform and open up", now a lot of cities in China indulge in urban intemationalization which is treated as important deve10pment idea, strategy as well was method to them. As a series of support policies promoted in recent years, Zhuhai City in Guangdong Province, China becomes more and more competitive in the fields of location & industry, economy & foreign economy, port city & demographic factors, human resource & culture background, and habitab1e environment. Based on the strategic orientation to urban intemationalization, Zhuhai is able to accelerate its urban intemationalization pace, as it makes full use of “hardware" foundations (including optimization of the regional economy, upgrading of the industrial structure, improvement of infrastructure construction and effort for intemational habitable city) , and “software" supports (including imp1ementation of urban intemationalization strategy, establishment of intemational cooperation platform, introduction of the excellent ta1ents and enhancement of the city image in the world). To begin with the understanding of concept of urban intemationalization, this papers aim to, with fresh statistics and cases, discuss and study on Why, Is it possib1e and How to fulfill the urban intemationalization for Zhuhai. All of these are supposed to be of value for Zhuhai and other simi1ar cities to promote their urban intemationalization.
