        유기축산 사료첨가제로서 소나무껍질 추출물 피타민의 산란계에 대한 급여 효과

        This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of dietary pitamin, pine bark extracts, as a organic livestock feed additives on the egg production and egg quality of laying hens. One hundred-fifty laying hens (Hyline brown) were randomly allocated to one of the following 3 treatment groups for 6 weeks: control, pitamin 0.1% and pitamin 0.2%. The egg production of hens fed the diet containing 0.1% pitamin was similar to that of the control; however, the egg production of the pitamin 0.2% group was significantly lower than that of the other groups (p<0.05). Additionally, the Haugh unit was higher in groups fed diets that contained 0.1% or 0.2% pitamin than in the control group (p<0.05), but no significant difference in egg shell thickness and egg shell breaking was observed between the pitamin 0.1% group and the control group. Furthermore, the concentration of cholesterol in eggs produced by the pitamin 0.1% group was significantly lower than that of the other groups (p<0.05). Moreover, the saturated fatty acid content of eggs from hens in the pitamin 0.2% group was lower than that of eggs produced by hens in the other groups, whereas the unsaturated fatty acid content of eggs produced by hens in the pitamin 0.2% group was higher than that of eggs produced by hens in the other groups (p<0.05). Finally, the values corresponding to the storage days, Haugh unit, yolk index and albumin index of eggs produced by hens that were provided with a diet that contained 0.1% or 0.2% pitamin were significantly higher than those of the control group (p<0.05). Taken together, these results suggest that providing hens with a diet supplemented with 0.1% pitamin as a organic livestock feed additives may extend the shelf-life of eggs with maintaining the egg quality and egg production in laying hens.

        Holstein 수소와 거세우 및 Zeranol 투여 거세우의 성장 단계별 혈액상과 혈청 대사물질 및 호르몬 농도의 변화

        This experiment was conducted to investigate changes in hematological values and concentrations of serum metabolites and hormones during the growth of Holstein bulls, steers and steers with Zeranol injection. Animals were assigned into 3 groups, bull group (n=8), steer group (n=8) and zeranol group (n=8, injected with zeranol from 80㎏ to 450㎏ BW). Sixteen Halstein steers in steer group and Zeranol group were castrated at 2 month after birth and zeranol group was injected hypodermically with 36㎎/head of zeranol on the tail side at every 90 day. RBC, Hb, HCT values of zeranol group at the final stage of 650㎏ were significantly decreased and MCHC value was increased compared with steer group (P$lt;.OS), but WBC, MCV and MCH values remained same. Serum glucose concentrations of animals at 300㎏ BW were higher compared with those at different growing stages. Although all chemical values in serum at 500㎏ were not different between the treatment groups, SUN, albumin, cholesterol, triglyceride and calcium concentrations of zeranol group at the final stage (650㎏) were higher than those of other groups. Serum IGF-I concentration at the start of the experiment was not different among the treatments ranging from 5.24 to 8.29ng/㎖ and started to increase afterhood until animals reached 300㎏ of body weight. At 300㎏ BW, serum IGF-1 concentration of bull group was higher than that of steer group (350.2 vs 266.2ng/㎖, P$lt;.05). At 500㎏ BW, IGF-I concentrations of bull group and zeranol group were 525.6 and 504.6ng/㎖ respectively which are higher (P$lt;.05) than that of steer group (398.7ng/㎖). Similarly, serum insulin concentration was not different between treatments until animals reached 300㎏ BW ranging from 5.65 to 7.81ng/㎖. However, at 500㎏ BW bull group showed significantly lower (17.35ng/㎖) insulin concentration than that (24.76ng/㎖) of steer group (P$lt;.05).

        항상제 첨가가 병아리 증체 및 장기발육에 미치는 영향

        This experiment was conducted to compare the effects of antibiotic additives(baciferm, aurofac, SMS and terramycin 3+3) on body weight gain and some lymphoid tissues of broiler chicks. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. All of the antibiotic additive treatments showed higher weight gain(1.5-8%) than that of control, but the growth rate was varied according to the kind of antibiotics. 2. When antibiotics were added, the weight of adrenal, bursa of fabricius, spleen, colon and pancreas were heavier than those of antibiotic free treatment.

      • 반추위내 섬유소 분해기작에 관한 연구 : article - bound 셀루라제의 활성측정을 중심으로

        본 시험은 볏짚에 가성소다(건물당 4, 8 및 12%) 및 암모니아 처리(건물당 3, 5 및 7%)를 할때 볏짚의 성분중 질소함량, neutral detergent fiber(NDF), acid detergent fiber(ADF) 및 hemicellulose(HC)의 함량과 볏짚의 이용성을 규명하고자 in situ dacron bag 방법에 의한 건물 및 NDF 소화율과 carboxymethylcellulase(CMCase) 활성측정을 실시한 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 볏짚의 건물함량은 처리구간 차이가 없었으나, NDF 및 HC함량은 처리에 따라 유의적으로 (p<.01)감소하여 대조구에 비해 처리구가 낮게 나타났으며, 특히 가성소다 처리구가 암모니아 처리구에 비해 낮게 나타났다. 그러나 ADF 함량은 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 조단백질함량은 암모니아 처리에 의해 유의적으로(p<.01) 증가하였으며, 조회분함량은 가성소다 처리수준이 증가할수록 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 2. 볏짚의 in situ 방법에 의한 건물 및 NDF 소화율은 대조구에 비해 처리구가 유의적으로 (P<.01) 증가하였으며, 특히 12, 24 및 48시간으로 배양시간이 진행됨에 따라 처리구가 유의적으로(p<.01) 증가하였으며, 특히 가성소다 8% 처리구가 높은 소화율을 보였다. 3. Carboxymethylcellulase(CMCase) 활성은 전 배양시간을 통하여 처리구가 대조구에 비해 유의적으로(p<.01) 높았으며, 효소활성은 24시간 배양에서 가장 높게 나타났고, 그 이후 점차 감소되었으며, 이와같은 CMCase의 활성 경향은 in situ 건물 및 NDF 소화율이 향상된 원인을 뒷받침하고 있다. This study was to evaluate the effects of alkali treatment to rice straw on digestibility of dry matter(DM) and fibrous components in ruminant. Rice straw was treated with different levels of sodium hydroxide(SH) (4, 8 and 12%) and aqueous ammonia (3, 5 and 7%) on a laboratory scale. DM content of alkali treated rice straws were similar to control. Also, acid detergent fiber(ADF) content was similar among treatment, but neutral detergent fiber(NDF) and hemicellulose(HC) concentration were lower in alkali treated rice straws than those of control(p<.01). Especially, SH treated rice straws were lower in NDF and HC content than ammonia treated rice straw. Crude protein content were significantly ( p<.01) incresed 2 - 3 times by ammonia treatment than control, but it was not affected by SH treated rice straw. In contrast, crude ash content in SH treated rice straws were increased by increasing levels of SH. Treated rice straws increased both rate and extent of DM and NDF in situ digestibility compared to control at all incubation times. Especially, 8 % SH treated rice straws increased NDF digestibility significantly (p<.0l) after 24hours of incubation compared with other treatement. Also treated rice straws incubated in situ had higher particle-associated carboxymethylcellulase(CMCase) activity throughout the incubation times than control (p<.01). Also the particle-bound CMCase activity peaked between 24 and 48 hours, and declined thereafter until activities were similar at 72hours. DM and NDF degradation pattern between the various incubation times were showed a similar to that of CMCase activity.

        A Real-time Compact Structured-light based Range Sensing System

        In this paper, we propose a new approach for compact range sensor system for real-time robot applications. Instead of using off-the-shelf camera and projector, we devise a compact system with a CMOS image-sensor and a DMD (Digital Micromirror Device) that yields smaller dimension (168x50x60mm) and lighter weight (500g). We also realize one chip hard-wired processing of projection of structured-light and computing the range by exploiting correspondences between CMOS imagesensor and DMD. This application-specific chip processing is implemented on an FPGA in real-time. Our range acquisition system performs 30 times faster than the same implementation in software. We also devise an efficient methodology to identify a proper light intensity to enhance the quality of range sensor and minimize the decoding error. Our experimental results show that the total-error is reduced by 16% compared to the average case.
