Presented in this paper, the data from a chromosome study of 222 patients referred for suspected chromosome aberrations, and of 83 normal persons. Karyotypes were obtained using short-term blood culture, G-banding methods and Q-banding method. Of these patients, 162 patients had normal chromosome complements; 60(27.0%) patients had chromosome abnormalities, 50%(30/60) had aberrations of chromosme number, the others 50%(30/60) had aberrations of chromosome structure. One normal person had balanced structural rearrangement. In abnormal structures there pericentric inversion, reciprocal translocation. Robertsonian translocation, insertion, deletion, isochromosome and variant chromosomes. Thus the results of the present study indicate the importance of cytogenetic evaluation in clinically abnormal patients.

A study on China Shipbuilding Industry’s National Competitiveness Change

This paper has used literature research method to study China shipbuilding industry’s national competitiveness change. Based on Porter’s Diamond Model, it has analyzed key factors pertaining to China shipbuilding industry such as factor conditions, demand conditions, related and supporting industries and firm strategy, structure and rivalry. Also it has analyzed China government’s supportive strategies and policies’ characteristics on shipbuilding. China is carrying forward a ‘choose and concentrate’ strategy to support excellent shipbuilders and reject insolvent ones. Government’s support played an important role in shipbuilding’s national competitiveness. By proclaiming government’s supportive policy on shipbuilding industry adjustment, China can induce not only competitive relations among rival companies, but also vitalizations among front and rear industries. This will lead to shipbuilding industry’s advance in quality and build a sustainable industrial structure.

한국인이 선호한 문양의 의미와 유형

한국의 고대 문양 안에서도 주위 환경에 대한 의미 있는 표현을 찾아보고자 하였으며, 자연환경에 순응하고 하늘의 가르침을 따르려는 우리민족의 의식세계를 여러 분야의 유물이나 유적에서 찾아보고자 하였다. 본 논문은 고대, 선사시대를 중심으로 그 시대의 문양의 형태를 분석하고 의미를 파악하는데 중점을 두었다. 우선 고대 문양에 관한 이론적 배경과 고대, 선사시대의 유물과 의복, 장신구 등에서 흔히 볼 수 있는 원형, 네모, 빗살(세모)문양 중심으로 분류하여 분석하였다. 그 다음은 각 문양이 의미하는 것들을 바탕으로 다양한 종류의 유적 및 의복, 장신구에 쓰임새에 대하여 파악 하였다. 한국의 고대, 선사시대의 문양 발전사를 중심으로 고찰하였으며 지리와 역사적인 위치를 고찰한 후 고대인들이 사용한 문양을 비교 분석하였다. 첫째, 원 무늬는 태양을 상징하는데, 고조선족과 고조선 문명권에 포함된 부족들은 태양숭배, 천재숭배 등의 사상을 바탕으로 자신들을 태양의 자손 즉, 천손이라는 의식을 가지고 있어 태양, 하늘과 자신들을 연결시켜주는 동물을 새라고 생각하였고 태양과 새를 결합하여 태양신을 상징적으로 형상화할 때는 삼족오를 원으로 싸서 태양으로 상징화하여 표현 하였다. 하늘과 땅과 사람이 하나가 되는 ‘회삼귀일(會三歸一)’의 원리는 태극문양으로 표현하여 그 의미를 부여하였다. 또한 연성문을 통해 별을 관측하여 풍요를 기원하였으며 우리의 문물이 만주지역은 물론 멀리 페르시아까지 전파되었음을 알 수 있는 중요한 발견이었다. 즉, 이러한 원 무늬는 의복에서뿐만 장신구 등 유물 및 암각화 등에서 다양한 의미로 표현되어 우리 조상들의 자연에 대해 큰 의미를 부여함을 알게 되었다. 둘째, 네모형태의 문양에서 우리의 선조들은 공동체의 풍요와 건강을 위해 하늘과 땅에 제(祭)를 지내며 소원을 빌었다. 하늘과 태양을 상징하는 문양이 원형이라면 땅(地)을 상징하는 문양은 네모라고 볼 수 있다. 이로써 우리선조들의 문양에서 주로 원형과 네모문양을 쉽게 접하는 이유를 알게 되었으며 자신의 안녕보다는 부족과 더 나아가 공동체의 안녕을 기원하는 마음이 담긴 문양을 선호한 것을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 빗살무늬에서 삼각무늬가 파생되었으며 재생과 다산, 산 등을 상징하므로, 삼각무늬의 배열은 곧 다산과 다복, 장수의 상징물로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 전통적인 문양은 문학 및 예술의 가치를 넘어 우리 실생활에 깊게 자리를 잡고 우리 민족의 얼을 그대로 보여주고 있다. 그러므로 그 가치가 더욱 존귀하다고 할 수 있다. 우리 선조들이 이루어놓은 다양한 문양은 우리나라뿐 아니라 동서고금(東西古今)에 전해져서

A Study on Death in Doris Lessing's Novels with Special Reference to Erich Neumann's Theory of the Terrible Mother Archetype

In Doris Lessing’s The Diary of a Good Neighbor (1983), the protagonist, Jane Somers, attempts to be reconciled with her mother as well as to play a role as a good daughter opposite to the female characters who, in Lessing’s early novels, always struggle with their mothers. Such a change of Jane can be seen in her inner world, particularly described in her diary, related to the relationship of Maudie Fowler and herself. So it is possible to read this novel from an analytical psychology, especially with Neumann’s theory of the terrible mother. Neumann says that the terrible mother, who personifies the destructive and devouring aspect of the unconscious, sometimes helps the ego to achieve centroversion or sometimes prohibits the ego from trying to do it. The terrible mother in The Diary of a Good Neighbor is embodied as death, for the journey of Jane toward centroversion is mainly developed in overcoming the fear of death or, literally, death, such as, her husband’s and mother’s and Maudie’s deaths. Through the three deaths, Jane comes to accept the dark side of her life and is changed from ego-centrism to altruism, leading her to help her niece. As a result, it is believed that she can solve her problem that she has no affection for others resulting in being isolated from her family. Accordingly, Jane perceives life as more important, realizing how precious it is to love each other.

굿거버넌스(Good Governance)와 해외직접투자:중국의 對ASEAN 해외직접투자를 중심으로

This study examines the relationship between governance and foreign direct investment and identifies the role of free trade agreement. In order to analyze these relationships, panel analysis was conducted with fixed effect estimations and random effects estimations. Using data of 10 ASEAN member countries over a 17-year period from 2001 to 2017, results were showed that strong governance has a positive effect on inflow of foreign direct investment and free trade agreement also has a positive effect on foreign direct investment in ASEAN members. In particular, free trade agreements have been shown to have a positive effect on foreign direct investment when the country’s governance is weak. If a country has a poor governance, free trade agreement can be a effective tool to compensate for the inefficient governance. 본 연구는 중국의 대 아세안 해외직접투자 결정요인을 규명하였다. 연구진은 중국의 해외직접투자를 결정하는 요인으로 굿거버넌스(good governance)를, 거버넌스를 강화하는 요인으로 자유무역협정을 제시하였다. 해외직접투자와 거버넌스 사이의 관련성 및 자유무역협정의 조절효과를 분석하기 위하여 고정효과모형과 임의효과모형을 이용하여 패널분석을 시행하였다. 2001년부터 2017년까지 17년 기간 동안 아세안 10개 회원국을 대상으로 분석한 결과, 우수한 거버넌스는 해외직접투자에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 자유무역협정은 해외직접투자에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 자유무역협정은 국가의 거버넌스가 취약할 경우, 해외직접투자에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 국가의 거버넌스가 건전하지 못한 경우, 자유무역협정은 비효율적인 거버넌스를 보완하는 도구로 사용될 수 있음을 제시하고 있다.

피터 캐리의『오스카와 루신다』: 오스카의 선교활동에 드러난 호주 원주민에 대한 식민화 정책

이 논문은 1988년 부커상 수상작인 피터 캐리의『오스카와 루신다』에 재현 된 영국의 선교활동에 나타난 호주 원주민의 식민화 정책의 일면을 살펴보고자 한다. 영국 성공회 사제 오스카는 가난을 핑계로 시작한 도박에 중독된 후 이를 극복하기 위해 호주 파견을 자원한다. 하지만 아이러니하게도 호주로 가는 『리바이어던』 호의 비싼 비용을 치르기 위해 도박을 지속한다. 호주에서도 도박에서 벗어나지 못하고 심지어 루신다와 신을 위한다는 명분으로 유리 교회를 제작하는 위험을 감수한다. 심지어 오스카는 살인을 저지른다. 문제는 제프리스가 제국의 임무 완수를 위해 호주 원주민을 살육한 것을 비난하면서 자신의 살인은 신의 뜻이라고 여기는 것이다. 호주 원주민은 이러한 오스카를 신의 계시를 받은 존재로 숭배하고, 오스카는 그 호주 원주민에게 세례를 베푼다. 하지만 작가 캐리는 유리 교회에 갇혀 죽게 함으로써 오스카 사제의 종교적 위선과 기만을 풍자한다. 이에 의해『오스카와 루신다』를 기독교와 더불어 영국 제국주의의 허위성과 폭력을 고발하는 소설로 읽을 수 있다. This paper aims to examine aspects of British colonization of Australian Aborigines represented in Peter Carey’s man-booker prize winning novel Oscar and Lucinda (1988). Oscar is a missionary of the Church of England who becomes addicted to gambling to alleviate his poverty, which makes him decide to move to Australia. Ironically, he gambles to make money for the fare of the Leviathan. In Australia he cannot stop gambling, taking the risk of establishing a glass church for the cause of the love of Lucinda and God. Oscar even kills a man. The point is that he criticizes Jeffris’s massacre in the name of British imperialism, avoiding the responsibility of his slaughter and christening an aborigine. Here, Carey satirizes Oscar’s hypocrisy and self-deception by sinking him caged in the glass church. That is, Oscar and Lucinda can imply the denouncement of the Church of England and British imperialism.
