Hyperpolarization methods are the most emerging techniques in the field of magnetic resonance (MR) researches since they make a contribution to overcoming sensitivity limitation of MR spectroscopy and imaging, leading to new fields of researches, real-time in vivo metabolic/molecular imaging and MR analysis of chemical/biological reactions in non-equilibrium conditions. Make use of enormous signal enrichments, it becomes feasible to investigate various chemical and biochemical systems with low ${\gamma}$ nuclei in real-time. This review deals with the theoretical principals of common hyperpolarization methods and their experimental features. In addition, more detailed theories, mechanisms, and applications of dissolution dynamic nuclear polarization (D-DNP) are discussed.

<P>We propose a multiplexed fiber Bragg grating sensor network based on code division multiple access (CDMA) using a self-injection locked reflective semiconductor optical amplifier. The proposed system shows improved scanning time without requiring a tunable laser source or a Fabry-Perot filter. CDMA was used to separate each reflected sensor signal and it shows a high dynamic range of over 40°C and a crosstalk ratio of 27.7:1. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Towards Blockchain-based Stainless Steel Tracking

Supply chain is an entire network of producing and delivering a specific product to a final consumer. Stainless steel is a specific product being delivered on a supply chain. It is not easy to manage and monitor the entire supply chain because a supply chain has high complexity, including various organizations and activities. Due to this difficulty, several issues occur in the process of supplying stainless steel, such as forgery and alteration. Blockchain is a decentralized and distributed ledger technology that specializes in transparency and immutability. Many companies try to introduce this blockchain technology into supply chain management to conveniently monitor their supply chain. Accordingly, the blockchain technology can make steel companies be able to investigate and protect high-quality products from counterfeited low quality products. This paper proposes a design of a blockchain-based stainless steel tracking system to thoroughly track the entire process involved in supplies from stainless steel mills to the final customers. This proposed design is based on the hyperledger fabric which is one of the most popular private blockchain platforms.
The case report : More than 20 submucosal myomas of the uterus removed by hysteroscopic resection

Submucosal myoma arise just under the lining of the uterine cavity. The survey shows that the incidence rate of submucosal myoma of the uterus is about 20~40%, and the disease frequently occurs in women aged 30~50 years. Submucosal myoma is the most common cause of vaginal bleeding of all types of myomas. Even no more than 2-3 centimeters in diameter of submucosal myoma can produce very heavy and prolonged menses. In their submucosal localization, myomas can be treated exclusively using surgical procedures, and they may be accessible by operative hysteroscopy-the standard surgical approach. Almost patients have less than 2 myomas, but, there have not been reported many submucosal myomas as like this case. A 27 year-old woman was referred for evaluation of aggravated menorrhagia and dysmenorrhea. The length of the period was 8days and she needed more than 4 large pads from 3rd to 5th day. So, the Hb was 8.5. And the NRS (numeric rating scale) was 7 at the periods. The first time when she came to hospital, the ultrasonographic evaluation revealed 3 submucosal myomas (less than 3cm sized). The MRI(magnetic resonance imaging) confirmed the presence of multiple submucosal myomas. After injection of GnRH agonist for two times, she got myomectomy by hysteroscopic resection. From the operation, we could see over 20 myomas up to 3cm. Biopsy confirmed submucosal cellular leiomyoma. After the operation, the amount of vaginal bleeding is decreased, and menstrual pain score is also improved.

<P>Herein, we describe a novel multiplex genotyping method, GTPlex-PyroSeq. This method consists of two phases: multiplex PCR followed by a single reaction of pyrosequencing. This study demonstrates how GTPlex-PyroSeq can be adapted for the determination of multiple human papillomavirus (HPV) genotypes. A biotinylated consensus primer, GP6+, and 15 high-risk HPV type-specific primers are used for multiplex PCR. Each type-specific primer has a 5′-tag unique ID sequence connected to a pyrosequencing primer binding region. The unique ID sequence is composed of three parts: i) a single nucleotide ID representing a specific genotype; ii) a sign post; and iii) an end mark. This design allows multiple genotype determination under an ID sequence-dependent nucleotide dispensation order during pyrosequencing. Following initial studies using HPV plasmids and cell lines, we evaluated the clinical utility and effectiveness by comparing our assay with direct sequencing and HPV DNA chip analysis of 80 samples from high-risk, HPV-positive patients. We found in single-type infections, 100% concordance with direct sequencing (70 of 80 perfect matches) and 97.5% concordance with HPV DNA chip data (50 of 80 perfect matches). Additionally, our system was superior to direct sequencing in detection of multiple infections (12 of 80), with a limit of detection of 100 copies. The scalability of this multiplex system, with its open-platform design and ability to use various sample types, makes the GTPlex applicable for use in multiple settings.</P>
