의약풍이 생체내로 흡수되는_파정에서 생리학적 인자 및 제제학적 인자들에 의해 생체이용률이 달라져 약물의 흡수과정을 연구함으로써 약물의 생체이용률을 예측하는 것이 가능하다. 그러나 제제학적 측면에서 용출시험과 흡수과정인. 장관막 투과도 나아가서 생체이용률간의 띤구가 미흡한 상태이다. 따라서 약물의 흡수과정을 연구하벼 생체이용률을 예측하기 위하여 장관막 투과도 및 혈중농도사이의 상관관계를 예견할 수 있는 모델을 개발하고자 1999년도 연구사업으로 고혈압치료제중 베타-차단약 (아테놀올, 메토프롤올, 프라프라놀꼴)을 선택하여 웅출시험과 장관막 투과도계수를 측정하여 사람의 흡수을을 예측할 수 있는 장관막 투파도 모델을 확림하였고, 2000년도에는 계속사업으로서 각 약물에 대한 횐쥐에서의 생체이용를 파라메타를 측정하고 1999년도 연구사업결과에서 얻은 장관막 투과도 시험결과를 가지고 생체이용률과의 상관섞을 구하고자 하였다. 각 베타-차단약을 경구 및 정맥투여하고 시간별로 채혈한 후 분리한 혈장으로부터 각 약물에 대한 EfLC를 이용한 분석준건을 확지하여 혈중농도를 측정하고 생체이용률 파라메타(AUC, Cma, Tme, 등)를 구하였다. 횐쥐의 소장을 이용하여 diffusion chamber 법으로 측정한 장관막 투과도계수와 각 생체이용률 파라미터 사이의 상관성을 구찬 결과 양호한 상관관계를 보였다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 통하여 약물의 특성에 따라 동물의 장관막 투도. 모델을 이용하여 사람의 생체이용률도 예측할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. In this study, we examined whether Hanganutziu-Deicher (H-D) antigens are important as an immunogenic non-a1,3-galactose (Gal) epitope in pigs with a disrupted a1,3- galactosyltransferase gene. The targeting efficiency of the AO blood genotype was achieved (2.2%) in pig fibroblast cells. A total of 1800 somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) embryos were transferred to 10 recipients. One recipient developed to term and naturally delivered two piglets. The a1,3-galactosyltransferase activity in lung, liver, spleen, and testis of heterozygote a1,3-galactosyltransferase gene knockout (GalT-KO) pigs was significantly decreased, whereas brain and heart showed very low decreasing levels of a1,3- galactosyltransferase activity when compared to those of control. Enzyme-linked lectinosorbent assay showed that the heterozygote GalT-KO pig had more sialyla2,6- and sialyla2,3- linked glycan than the control. Furthermore, the heart, liver, and kidney of the heterozygote GalT-KO pig had a higher N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc) content than the control, whereas the lung of the heterozygote GalT-KO pig had Neu5Gc content similar to the control. Collectively, the data strongly indicated that Neu5Gc is a more critical xenoantigen to overcoming the next acute immune rejection in pig to human xenotransplantation.

This paper critically examines the multiple-choice items in three major standardized Chinese language tests currently administered in Korea, namely, the new HSK, SNULT, and FLEX. Based on the analysis of the items, this article presents 15 different kinds of not-good items grouped under five major categories and discusses the problems in the illustrated items. Generalizing from these item examples and based on the existing literature of item writing guidelines, this study suggests 24 guidelines of seven different types for writing Chinese language items. The authors believe that the 15 invalid item patterns and the 24 item writing guidelines will significantly contribute to the betterment of test items in many standardized language tests including these three exams. It is also expected that these guidelines will provide useful criteria for classroom language assessment. The paper concludes with a suggestion that more research be conducted about item formats and optimal combination of sections in a test battery, which will help produce further guidelines pursuant to the possible new findings.

저자들은 특이 기저 질환 없는 환자에서 반복된 실신으로 비소세포 폐암이 현하였고 항암 치료 및 방사선 치료 후 실신이 호전 되었던 예를 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Although syncope is a common problem, lung cancer rarely presents with episodic syncope. We herein report a case of syncope as the initial presentation of the mediastinal lung cancer. A 54-year-old man presented to the emergency department after episode of syncope. On arrival, His blood pressure was 60/39mmHg and pulse rate was 35 beats per minute. The 12 leads electrocardiogram showed marked sinus bradycardia with 2:1 degree AV block. After treatment with intravenous administration of atropine and isoproterenol infusion, he recovered. The image studies revealed mediastinal tumor with lympadenopathy which was pathologically confirmed as the adenocarcinoma of lung cancer. He was treated with chemotherapy and radiation therapy and no further syncopal attacks were observed. This case emphasizes the importance of an appropriate evaluation and broad differential diagnosis for patients with episode of syncope.

4-tert-octylphenol (OP) is a surfactant additive widely used in the manufacture of a variety of detergents and plastic products. Also, OP is known to have estrogenic activity by interacting with development and functions of endocrine system. This study was carried out to obtain toxicokinetic parameters of OP in male<br/> Sprague-Dawley rats. Male rats were administered OP, by either single oral (gavage) applications of 50, 100 or 200 mg/kg body weight. or a single intravenous injections of 1, 5 or 10 mg/kg body weight. Blood samples taken at several time intervals after administration were obtained from the femoral artery. Analysis of blood samples for OP was performed by gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The detection limit of OP was 1.9 ng/ml at SIM (selected ion monitoring) mode of GC/MS. Calibration curve for analysis of the concentrations of OP in plasma was (OP/butylphenol peak area ratio) = 0.0294 × (plasma conc.) + 0.028 (r²= 0.9991). The OP plasma concentration was 3921 ng/ml immediately after single intravenous application, decreased rapidly within 45 min, and was detectable at low concentration up to 6 hr after application. When administered orally in rats (50, 100 and 200 mg/kg), OP was detected in the blood early after gavage administration, indicating the rapid initial uptake from gastrointestinal tract, with Tmax obtained from 0.67~0.83 hr. Using the AUC (area under the curve) of plasma concentration vs. time, low oral bioavailabilities of 1.2, 5.0 and 5.3% were calculated for the 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg groups, respectively.
